    Shrimp and Oysters with fries.
    Michael C.

On our way home from Raleigh it was getting supper time and the grandkids was getting hungry also.I knew Dry Dock was there but had never eaten there.I was a little concerned at a very full parking lot.But we realized there was a Mexican restaurant right beside so they both where busy.We where seat as soon as we walked in the door.Dry Dock was a bit larger then we expected. Our waitress sit a plate down with some really good hush puppies when getting our drink order. The grandkids jumped on those hot rings of goodness dipping them in the Small containers of butter on the table. My son and I did to. Much to our surprise a gentleman came out from the kitchen and started setting our food on the table. Both the grandkids got a child's shrimp plate with fries. My son got a shrimp and catfish combo with fries.I chose the shrimp and oysters combo with fries. Our food was good and hot and plenty. My son really liked his catfish. Our waitress was very attentive as to never let our tea and water glass go empty. We had a very good experience. We will have to keep Dry Dock Seafood on our list of places to eat.

I had the salt and pepper catfish with shrimp and scallops.

Very good seafood and the chop steak is scrumptious. Can't believe a restaurant this good is in a small town. A real winner

I got the popcorn shrimp with cole slaw and a sweet baked potato. Enjoyed it and our waitress was very friendly. I'd go back.

Despite living in asheboro, we've only visited this gem once. It's 100% a mistake on our part. Each…read moremeal comes with smashed potatoes and slaw--I don't try the slaw (I don't like it...picky eater problems) but my husband said it was fantastic! It had crunch instead of being too wet or too mushy. The smashed potatoes were very good! Potatoes served like that aren't usually my thing but they were delicious and well seasoned. I ordered the shrimp and corn while my husband got the crab cakes. Some places are mostly filling with hints of crab, Full Moon was the opposite--maximum amount of crab with the right amount of "cake". The shrimp was great and perfectly steamed. The corn came out piping hot! The service was fantastic. The seating is mostly bar tops which is cool and allows for the service to be seamless. Honestly it felt like a beach vacation on a Tuesday. Our next visit will be on a Tuesday so I can try the all you can eat crab legs.

I literally ate there 3 times during my 4 day stay because it was that amazing. I'm a huge foodie…read more Their Voodoo Shrimp is the best bbq shrimp I've ever had. Even better than Mr Bs Bistro in New Orleans. Pair that with their free potato salad and coleslaw, and get their French bread loaf to dip into the sauce. That's an unforgettable meal. The bread is hot and fresh with a buttery soft center and crisp exterior crust. Start with their charcoal oysters. Again. Best I've ever had. No joke. And to top it off the blackened branzino from their Friday special. I can't wait to get back there. As if the food wasn't enough, their service is top notch. A true 5 star restaurant experience crammed into a mom and pop hole in the wall price.

First and foremost: Lauren was absolutely phenomenal. She was a fantastic problem-solver and was…read morespot-on with her attention & service. The problem was that there were many matters that Lauren had to try to mitigate that brought our experience from a four star to a three star: My stuffed salmon was the last of ten meals served & it was so overcooked that the salmon resembled jerky. They offered to make another for me to take to-go, but that did nothing for me in the moment (I still had to navigate a burned meal & we all know that type of meal does not reheat well). Noodles & sauce that came with the dish were very good. The "succotash" was unremarkable. Two plates of King crab legs (an EXTREMELY expensive meal) came with no melted butter - my friends had to ask twice for butter - crab got cold before butter was ever served. Waitress (not Lauren) said full serving costs $120. For some reason, 1/2 serving consisted of two legs, full serving consisted of three legs? We were told a claw would be included as well with the full serving, but then "reassured" that a full serving was indeed received without the claw. Chicken teriyaki was good. Mussels with pasta was good. Apparently. it is "safe" to consume the living red worms that squiggle on the oysters on the half shell, but in all our years in other restaurants with oysters, we've never seen worms moving on our plates. Is that because other restaurants clean off the oysters in a different manner? Is it because other restaurants serve on ice? I honestly don't know, but do know I can't eat wriggling worms. I sincerely appreciate Lauren's attempt to alleviate our concerns. Apparently, there was/is a shortage of glasses, because refills of beer and alcohol came in different sized glasses with each round. One beer refill came in a small brandy-type glass with no explanation. Again, a solution was offered well after the fact, but honestly should not have been necessary. This is not a fault of the waitstaff. The potatoes & slaw that are served with each meal were brought before our drinks were ever served - are they intended to be treated like appetizers? (Just a note: Active Duty military & Federal employees have been advised not to consume poppy seeds - it's ridiculous - but half of our table couldn't eat the slaw (which was unfortunate because the slaw was very good - one of my favorite recipes). Fried dishes were over cooked - extremely dark & tough. Do not forgot to ask what "Market price" is - it may be well over $100 per serving. By the way: their Carolina Colada is now my favorite drink! Delicious!! Look at the back of the menu for the day's drink special.
