I…read morehad a slumlord situation where landlord was out-of-state and had no sense of the condo condition. I viewed the unit when it was occupied by the previous tenants - understandably, it was a mess because they were packing, so I figured (as one would) that after they moved out and it was properly cleaned, it would be move-in ready by my move date. That assumption was my mistake. When I got the keys, I was shocked at the condition. It was not professionally cleaned (despite claims otherwise - it was insufficient), overall not move-in ready, and a dump (not maintained). There was mold and mushrooms growing and the smell was strong. I was so upset I wanted to cancel the lease. [**Note to renters: do not sign the lease until after you've seen the unit EMPTY. It's a red flag when landlord (1) does not show you the empty unit move-in ready and (2) wants you to move in immediately after someone moves out - it's insufficient time for maintenance and cleaning & you don't get to see the true condition**] Alex was quick to schedule the assessment and start the remediation process. He was thorough and top-notch in communicating with the landlord to resolve the issue. I'm very thankful for his detailed work because he discovered the source of the problem and tracked the mold down in every nook and cranny. It turned out the source was from the unit above and the mold was not only where I could see it but inside the wall and on the opposite side of the wall into the hallway. Multiple sections of different walls had to be cut. I'm grateful for this amount of investigative and meticulous work. I realized the importance of quality workmanship because (1) water damage is not just where you can see the damage and (2) it doesn't end with repair itself because you must find the source and fix it so it does not happen again. The result of his work instilled my confidence back in this condo. Due to this condo being in such poor condition, I later found more mold in a new area. Thankfully, it was not water damage but surface mold. Alex was so kind to come back and walk me through determining the extent of it (there's a difference in how far it goes into the wall). He walked me through resolving that, as well. He was educational and a wealth of information - he taught me what products to use to clean & how. ALEX was sent by my apartment complex. He was unprofessional, very argumentive and defensive when…read moreit came to questions about his findings. He was reluctant about releasing any information regarding what he actually found. He walked around with a flash light looking at items as he came to the conclusion that any and all mold that was found in my apartment was from myself. He said the results I got from another inspection agency was inaccurate and that it only picked up mold because of the mold that was ON my belongings from an "in-use leak" that he found. But my question was where did the mold come from to begin with ? Was it not the reason he and a plumber was here to begin with, mm. The leak in the bathroom wall maybe? He went on saying in a smart comment "well you need to clean your windows it's in your contract" again stating that the mold had come from me not cleaning which is not the case. He recommended throwing away or cleaning all my belongings that had this "substance" on them because it would spread but said he couldn't tell me what to do, just suggest it which I believe was a cover up to get rid of any evidence OF mold in the unit. I had to repeatedly ask if he had found mold and after several attempts he finally admitted to finding mold the very first day he came into the unit however i was not notified until my own testing was done. He even asked me if i had questions pertaining to the results i obtained from another certified company but not his which amazes me because he had no reports to show me. I believe Alex works for the contractors (management) as he stated in previous reviews that didn't seem to peek his interest and is not at all concerned about the tenants safety and/or finding the cause just blame tenants. So I'm sure I'll get some threatening review telling me to remove this as he did with others but im speaking my truth based on interactions and experience with his service. I personally would NOT recommend, not ever you're better off doing it yourself Edit : Clearly Alex's LIFE is based off responding to everyone's Yelp review because that's all he seems to do aside from actually doing his job. Instead he places the blame on tenants to appease management because that's who he seems to work for! Seeing as you dont have the address how can you recall any of the findings? You can't speak on a plumber not finding anything because he did which is why he was there to begin with, the whole pipe burst SMART GUY ! Also you would want to be a little more professional when it comes to trying to call ppl slow because I never used AI although you should.
