Erin of Lotta Treats bakes and decorates custom cookies that are super cute! She has pop up shops where you can come and buy her latest creations. But my first taste of her cookies were at a decorating class! I came with a few friends, and learned how to pipe royal icing on to pre-baked sugar cookies. For $40 we got to decorate 6 cookies apiece to take home. When I went, it was a summer theme, so we did two cacti, 2 pineapples, and 2 watermelon slices. They came out very cute, though mine were not as smooth as they should have been. Practice makes perfect though. Looking forward to trying again! Awesome Cookies! I just came home from Erin's cookie decorating class - $45 for two hours and all supplies provided. I took home six cookies that I decorated. They don't look as great as hers, but she's a fantastic teacher. The actual cookies actually taste great, too! I highly recommend taking one of her classes or popping by to get cookies when she has them already decorated. I've already signed up for another class. read more

I arrived at 8:15PM, the associate tells me when I arrive "I'm so sorry it's not ready, I thought you'd be here closer to 8:45PM." I say "No worries I'll come back at 8:45PM." I come back to pick up the cake. It comes out hot and newly decorated with icing. 10 minutes down the road I check the cake, and the icing is completely melted. By then it's 9pm and I can't turn around to go back to the store. The next morning around 11am I called the store to speak with the manager. I leave my contact info, and I receive a call within 20 minutes from the store manager, Dustin. I explain the situation and how the cake is not presentable anymore for the birthday event I ordered it for. He apologizes and offers a dozen cookies or a refund. Since there's no time for me to drive back to Huntington Beach for a party that is in Pasadena within the next hour, we opt for the refund and Dustin states, "This is my personal number, I'll shoot you a text when that refund goes through." A week later, no refund, no communication, no follow-up. I called Dustin one more time, left a voicemail and one additional text just incase. Over the course of several days, still no response. Suffice to say, it is what it is. I just wanted a refund for the cake that I bought which I ended up not even bringing to the event I got it for because of the melted icing. TLDR: product wasn't ready at the time it was agreed upon to be ready, when product was picked up it was faulty, the manager offered a refund that never came and ghosted me

They offer a wide variety of flavors, and you do get one free sample per person before deciding. Sweet Traders were not only able to fit me in for a tasting but also make a 6" heart shaped cake, lambeth style with black lettering, all in less than a week for me!! They absolutely kicked butt! It was so wonderful that my guests absolutely raved about it and I hope to get a small version of it every year for our anniversary. The top and side is their wonderful buttercream icing, then the lemon blueberry cake and vanilla Bavarian cream between each layer of cake. We had a few of her…read moredesserts at a friend's birthday party and we needed a simple cake so we figured we'd try her out for our wedding. She was really easy to work with and accommodating! She even suggested a few ideas since I'm not super creative. She also worked around our super obnoxious football wedding topper and it still looked great! She was very professional and on the day of, she took care of everything flawlessly with my coordinator. We mainly intended on having pies because my husband doesn't really even like cake but this cake was different. Honestly probably the best cake we've ever had and it we couldn't even bring ourselves to freeze it. We fought over who got to eat what was left of it. I would highly recommend Maegan if you need desserts! This was the one food item at our wedding that our guests still talk about because it was so delicious. We will probably have to order another one for each anniversary.

And egg free so my husband could eat it too. Everyone loved it to pieces and wouldn't stop commenting on how gorgeous it was. That signature swirl frosting is divine. We donated the leftovers to the kitchen staff at the restaurant and it was funny to see them all in the back room chowing down with delight as we left! We also had cupcakes done for the baby shower, and they too were fantastic. Somehow Maegan was able to magically come up with the right flavors to suit my pregnancy cravings without even knowing. Best sugar cookies in the world! So, I found out that you could order theses amazing cookies on line on Etsy. So, I hinted to the bf that for my birthday I would love to have some of her cookies! Imagine how I felt when I saw my bf walk in on Saturday to surprise me at work bearing gifts! I was busy working the Hawt on Yelp week and finishing up with a client. I got a sneak peak off the cookies in which were carefully packed in a mountain of popcorn rather than the packaging peanuts. Environmentally friendly! Kudos!! Inside were two dozen of her sugar cookie owls! YES OWLS! I love owls! I gave one to my client who also fell in love with the amazing cookie! Now, I honestly wanted to keep these all to myself but greed is not my thing. So, I gave SOME away.
