The best printing service I've ever experienced. Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff - I brought in my own paper to print on and they knew the weight of the stock just by feeling it. On top of a great print job, they gave it to me *on the house* because it was under 5 bucks and I didn't have any cash! My friend designed them and this place graciously altered the height/width of the template to fit what we needed. Kinkos would have charged extra. Overall would print in bulk here again if needed. Found this gem after I was asked to search for other printing options in the Santa Monica area for my company. We often print large quantities of large-scale, high-quality images for important meetings...the image quality of Fedex/Kinkos prints just wasn't cutting it anymore. Despite the convenience afforded by Fedex's 24/7 policy, the quality difference between their print shop and work produced by DJS printing is astounding! We will always and forever now use DJS. Even though they operate on normal business hours, they have incredibly fast turn-around time and can expedite projects for you if necessary (with a bit of a fee). Even so, they are cheaper than most other options! It's truly unbeatable. You can upload images online through their website REGARDLESS OF SIZE -- no more taking flash drives into the store. I've uploaded files that were about 500MB and there was no problem. Fast upload and no problems on the receiving end. They can also deliver your product -- perfect if you are placing orders for a business to save employees from having to go on a run. Once you place your order online, you can wait to hear back from them, or you can call in to verify it was received. I normally call in because I normally am working with a tight turn-around schedule. They are always extremely friendly and helpful. You can set up an account with them (credit authorization form, etc) so that you don't even have to provide them your payment info on future orders! You really can't beat the simplistic, high-quality, friendly service that DJS offers. Just go for it, you won't regret it! read more

Had a great experience working with Jeff Sr. at DSJ printing. So great, I just had to sign up for Yelp and post my first review. I work in a different city from my client so it wasn't easy finding a reliable printer when I couldn't visit in person. Yelp helped me find DSJ so now I must return the favor. Jeff was very patient with our many questions and requests, we must have sent him 40 emails about one job. He kindly created proofs for us on various stocks so that we could see the results before committing to the full run. He also took the time to explain the ecological benefits of printing digital vs. offset. I'm relieved to have a printing resource in the LA area that is economical yet takes pride in their work. I got my business cards done there and it was a little complicated because I did my own artwork and it had to be sized and centered to line up on the front and back. It was not a high dollar job for them, but they treated me like it was and this is reflected in the final product which is beautiful. I am very happy. read more

I have to agree with fellow reviewers Daniel A. and Nina L. - I've used these guys for a couple jobs because they're close to my work and my colleagues have used them in the past. While the work got done, on time, and looked great, this place is totally lacking in customer service. I found myself continually having to follow-up on emails and files I sent since no one was getting back to me/responding. And when I would mention this, I got no apology or excuse. If anything, they sounded as if my calling them was bothering them. And this was the attitude I received from the owner - Jeff, Sr.! I felt like a desperate girl calling a guy that had no interest in me. I don't know - I've felt all along that the owner is totally burnt out on the business and just couldn't care at all whether he receives my company's business or not. With so many print shops in this city, I don't know why I've waited this long to go somewhere else. read more

I just had to write this review in regards to the tremendous amount of help that, not only the entire staff at DSJ printing provided, but especially to Rodrigo. Rodrigo helped me out printing my head-shots along with my resumes on the back. When I asked if he would mind setting up the head-shot with my name and info he said, "no problem Sean." He was so generous and kind throughout the whole process it was unbelievable! I then realized I had made a mistake on the address I originally sent him on the resume portion of the head-shot and Rodrigo then printed out a bunch of little stickers with the correct address and posted them on! Then, after all this I was extremely strapped for cash, I am not scared to say, and had an interview with an agency that day and Rodrigo was gracious enough to just allow me to pay for one until I could pay for the rest in a couple days when I finally got payed! I know I am disclosing a lot of information about my experience with DSJ but I can't say enough. I haven't received this great of customer service, genuine care, and the willingness to help in a long time. Especially in LA. Searched on line and checked Yelp comments before going to DSJ Printing. Once there I was pleased by the response to my somewhat messy and complicated request for 3 large posters. In spite of a medical emergency experienced by one of the staff members, they rallied around, worked with me and completed the job on time and with perfection. Everyone who saw the finished job was delighted and commented on both quality and professionalism. i walked in here on a lark. really, i was just looking for a place that had pantone colors to look at. as i looked at the colors michael started asking me questions. what is this for? what kind of paper? did i need this color wheel or that? coated or uncoated? what kind of printing process? he spoke an entirely different language. i realized quickly that i had no idea how to answer any of his questions. he began to educate me, and wound up helping me immensely. i was so impressed right then and there that i offered to give them all the work my small business would ever need. boy am i glad i met them. since then they have saved me countless times, come up with creative solutions, jerry has done exquisite retouching and editing for me, and their print work is beautiful! i feel like they are literally partners in my business. i could not imagine a more wonderful print shop. they are so very very knowledgeable. this is not your ordinary print shop is all i can say. run, don't walk. read more
