Great first time experience here!! Came in on a Saturday and we're IMMIDIATELY sat! Great attentive service, fun atmosphere and the food wasnt bad either! I got a burger and would order again! We also ordered shots which was fun hahha!! Also dog friendly I guess hahaha we saw a pug getting the belly rub of his life!

I love this place and I love that it's in the middle of all the steakhouses , but it's just this little golden gem only regulars know about or people end up stumbling into. There was a little bit of both on Friday early evening when I went. They have a solid beer list and everything is decently priced for being in that part of town.

This is my favorite bar in Chicago. I might be biased because I had a dog once named Dublin ... but there is always so many fun different groups of people there from college reunions to wedding parties. I always enjoy my very boring vodka sodas, and the latest time I visited I got the cheeseburger. It was sooo good. I can't wait for my next excuse to go out and end the night with a drunk cheeseburger! Definitely chose this as your next place to gather with friends, have some drinks and have a fun time!

I stopped in after a night out with the girls and was shocked that they had a full service menu after midnight. The server was quick and attentive, especially for it to be a packed bar and late at night. I got the chicken parmesan, it was ok, just a little too cheesy and the chicken/sauce could do some more seasoning/flavor. I also had the cheesy poppers and they were good, I really enjoyed them. I would go back for cocktails and to try some other items.

I just love this place from the cocktails to the food and The waitstaff have been going to this establishment for over 20 years never fails me.

As you can probably tell from the name, the vibe of Dublins is an Irish Pub. It's nearly impossible to find somewhere casual in Gold Coast, but Dublins is perfect if you don't feel like dressing to the nines for dinner and/or drinks. Perfect place to watch sporting events too. They had high quality bar food from my experience. I got their spicy chicken caesar wrap, which I was only slightly disappointed with because it tasted more like a buffalo wrap than caesar. I loved that it came on a little bed of caesar salad though and I also loved that the chicken was breaded inside. Worth checking out if are looking for bar food, just want to grab a beer or a place to watch a game!

We decided to pop into this small inconspicuous little pub named Dublin as we meandered through the streets of The Gold Coast in Chicago. It's small and cozy with an obvious local clientele. Always a good sign. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This bar opens very early and stays open very late. They also do food. The menu is pretty big. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and fries which hit the spot. Very well priced here!

Okay as a bar. The only thing Irish about it is the name. Don't go here if you're looking for an actual Irish pub.

Manager is a jerk. Took my order. Lost it. Told me to wait 30 mins for a new order. He had not an ounce of apology. Real jerk off.

Do they allow pets on their patio?

We allow service animals on the patio, some pets may be allowed if the onsite staff feels that there is enough room to accommodate your pet and that your pet is well behaved and will not make other guests feel uncomfortable.

    Can I make reservations?

Sorry for the very late response, we just recently regained access to our yelp. But at this time we do not allow reservations, only walk-ups.

    Do they have highchairs?

Yes they do. The are family friendly on the restaurant side

It's not a big place, so it probably gets full during sporting events. It was pretty dead when we were here around 6 PM on a Tuesday. They advertise three dollar mystery shots on their website. It ended up being a thimble sized sour apple tasting liquid - not worth $3. They don't offer a happy hour, but the drink prices are reasonable for this area of Chicago. Their wine glasses are small, so don't count on any heavy pour. The glass probably holds 6 ounces if filled to the brim. They have a better than average bourbon selection for this type of bar. My favorite thing was a T-shirt I bought. I don't think I can post a picture because it uses the actual word but it says Drink Up B!tches in green letters and all caps with a shamrock above the phrase. The back has another green shamrock and the bar's name. I will be wearing this every St. Patrick's Day from this point forward. They have a small food menu of mostly fried food and sandwiches. The kitchen is located inside the restaurant at the end of the bar so you can see it. Let's just say I would not order a salad from here (which is on the menu). We got the fried mushrooms and they were pretty good. It was a large amount for only eight dollars. They also have complementary popcorn. The bartender was friendly. I would come back.

He was not lying- the sandwich has an amazing balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss- then they go one step further and mix it all up with the Thousand Island dressing so it's a perfect bite, every ingredient, every time. The cheese curds came with a dill aioli, and marinara sauce. I was hooked on the aioli, nice way to cut back on the richness by using acidity and herbs. Cameron was my server, and Jessica was behind the bar. Both were awesome! Full disclosure, I went last night again, this time to meet up with friends before flying home. Jimmy was back from vacation and he's a rock star. Manages to keep everyone with a full glass and just good to chat with when he's not so busy (sorry I got so talkative Jimmy!) The entire group here is great. Makes it feel like family when you're here. I left Chicago 5 years ago but I feel like I never left when I'm here at O'Leary's. This is the place you wanna go with friends, or to meet new ones!
