This outfit is a hot mess, and they charge double what everyone else does. Just days after they left, the dryer vent detached and started spewing wet hot air into our closet. They sent their tech back, he dismantled the back of the dryer before giving up and admitting he didn't know what he was doing. Set a THIRD appointment for a senior tech - had to wait days - and wasted 1/2 the day at home without the tech ever showing up. Set a FOURTH appointment... and again, blew half the day at home waiting and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. My dryer is still in pieces. Bonus points - every time I called them they had no idea who I was, and seemed to have great difficulty finding my record. During this process at least four promises were made to call me back.. and they never did. read more

More like Golden Gate WTFs. DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS. Yes, they managed to clear the dryer duct, but failed to properly affix the exhaust pipe resulting in hot steam filling laundry room. They sent a tech guy back to fix the problem who admitted not knowing what he was doing AFTER dismantling our dryer and leaving it non-functioning. Spent a week trying to get someone to come back to fix it...crickets. Yes, they would "confirm" having scheduled someone. Yes, it was a "priority" for them. Yes, they would send their "best guy." But, the company either has no way to properly mange their techs or the techs they subcontract don't give a flying f%^k about fixing the company's problems. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP for the four appointments scheduled. Don't waste your time with this company...they may end up leaving you high and dry. read more

Just got my air ducts and dryer vent cleaned. After a 3-bathroom remodeling project our home was filled with construction dust and this cleaning was just what the doctor ordered. Marquez was able to squeeze me in the same day I called to avoid me having to wait until the following week. Waiting would have been an issue because using the A/C would throw the dust around just after a very thorough deep-cleaning of the entire house! Marquez showed up on time, described the work to be done and got right to work. During the cleaning, he pointed out issues with my A/C filter size and dryer vent offset elbow that were causing inefficiencies with the air flow and lint build-up in the duct. He also showed me the huge amount of lint that had clogged the dryer duct. He suggested removal of the vent offset elbow, and did it as a courtesy. Reached out to several vendors to request a quote for duct cleaning and Golden Gate Ducts were the first to respond (within 30 minutes). Mark explained in great detail their cleaning process, what machine they used and an estimate of how long it would take which was very informative and helped me with making my decision on who I would go with. Needless to say I went with Golden Gate Ducts for their responsiveness to my questions, price and professionalism. Scheduled a date for service, Mark gave me a window he would arrive and gave me a 15 min heads up before arrival. Upon arrival Mark and Elijah did a walked through to confirm everything and started the job. They were very thorough with their cleaning and cleaned all of the dirt/debris in the surrounding area of every duct (if any). They cleaned a total of 13 ducts and our furnace and took a around 4 hours which I didn't mind since I knew they were being thorough. These guys are great. I first contacted them online about duct cleaning and they quickly answered all my questions and gave me a fair quote. Mark at Golden Gate Ducts was very thorough with his explanation on what equipment he would be using and what the entire process entails. He was also the most reasonably priced after messaging a few vendors for quotes. I'm a bit of a germophobe and always worried about dust getting around when people are working inside my home, Mark assured me that they would cover anything that's under my vents and leave the area spotless. On the day of service, Mark let us know when they were about 20 mins away and once they arrived they spent 4 hours to complete the job, which was what he told me the estimate time would be anyways. He helped us seal the gaps between the vents, cleaned our dryer vent, and changed our filter. Mark was very honest about what he saw in our air ducts and with our furnace and he doesn't push you to get extra services. He was very professional, and according to my husband who was there the entire time, he was also very personable. After 10 years of neglecting my air ducts at home, I finally called Golden Gate Duct to have them clean them. Mark and Alex arrived on time and did a thorough job of removing all the accumulated dirt/ gunk from our air ducts. In addition, Mark inspected our heater, AC and dryer to see if they also needed to be cleaned. They offered me a great deal to have these cleaned as well. They immediately put on shoe covers before entering our home and went to inspect our furnace. Mark took a video of the inside of what he saw and performed a simple test to make sure things were in working order before reviewing the video with me. I really appreciated the detailed walkthrough and didn't feel pressured to do extras.
