The pastrami is the worst I have ever had, was all dark meat, like two weeks old that they cooked over and over, they sliced the sandwich in half, got one thin slice of pickle on each half, mustard was really non existent, plus the roll was partly stale. Been coming here since they rebuilt/remodeled. Always either get a cheeseburger or BLT. The BLT with avocado is excellent. I've had BLTs all over the place and I love the 1 here. It's simple and always tastes crisp and fresh. They give u a lot of avocado, unlike some places that charge an arm and a leg for avocado and hardly give any avocado. The burgers r good. This review is way overdue and I cannot say it more plainly that Duke's is fantastic! This past weekend was mine and my husband's fourth time visiting the restaurant and we were once again satisfied. The service and quality of food are great. As soon as we walk through the front doors, my husband and I don't have to wait in line for very long because the employees are always attentive to place customer orders. Not only is the ordering process quick and efficient, it is also coupled with friendly, smiling employees. It is KEY to make eye contact and to provide a smile. My husband and I have a combined twenty years+ of customer service experience, so we understand the challenges of a job. But, it isn't that difficult to slap a smile on your face and greet customers with genuine kindness. And perhaps that is why my husband and I continue to come back to Duke's... there is a consistency of joy when we interact with the employees! Sure, their customer service is a huge part in why my husband I continue to return to Duke's. But it is also the consistent taste of their food. We order the same plate: 1) Steak Breakfast with eggs, hash browns and toast and 2) French Toast Breakfast with eggs and bacon. My husband's steak is always well seasoned and cooked, as well as my French Toast is always cooked at the perfect crisp and topped with just the right amount of cinnamon. Yum yum! So decided to try this place out since there aren't a whole lot of good hamburger places besides Chris's burgers. Over all it was ok. Drive through was fast she was semi helpful and place looks nice (considering it's a newly built place). Food wise I got a bacon cheeseburger and my girl got an avocado burger and we both agree it's not bad. The problem we had is that the food was dry if the burger was juicy we would have given it a 4 maybe 5 star. But cheeseburger was dry fries dry etc... The few things I have tried from the menu were good. My wife luvs their Chicken Salad because the seasoned chicken is very tasty and never dry and there are actually carrots,cucumber,hard boiled egg & tomato in a spring mix of greens . Not just chopped iceberg lettuce like most other fast food joints. Burgers, fries and Steak Sandwich all very good. The dining area is always spotless when we have come in to eat. Duke's is excellent/bomb! I used to eat here back in the 1980's & 1990's when my dad's repair shop was in the industrial complex next door. They still have the same fresh food and friendly service. The building has also been recently rebuilt too. I currently still eat here when I'm in the area or when me & my spouse go to the Vineland drive in movie theater down the street. I love the cheese hamburgers+avacado, fries, fried zucchini, steak sandwiches+avacado, club sandwiches+avacado, tacos+avacado, burritos+avacado, there breakfast menu and more. This is the first time I am there. I had an egg and sausage breakfast burrito. It is not cheap $6.09 including tax comparing with other fast food chain that price would also have included a drink. However, the burrito size is big. The portion is good enough for two people, female. If you are on diet, split it with somebody. The taste is good. Food here is good just don't go through the drive-thru window in the mornings the lady always can't seem to hear me or understand what I'm saying. Always gets my order wrong, either management has to fix the speaker box or change out the lady taking the orders. I live in the area and I am always here, on 3 occasions my food has came out wrong when I get home or get to the window. On one occasion I asked for 3 of the French toast specials and keep in mind they're 5.99 so I get to the window and she's charging 39.99 on my card so I ask her what she's charging me for and gives me a whole different order and they expect me to pay for it because it's already made!!!
