I got the churro sundae and iced coffee. The churro sundae was amazing. The churros were warm and the ice cream was so good. I liked how having the ice cream on top didn't make the churros soggy. They still had a good crunch. The girl who helped me was very sweet and patient. She knew it was my first time and asked me what I wanted. The place itself was small. Our family had the 6-piece churros with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 6-piece fried Oreos and 2-piece fried Twinkies. The batter for the Oreos and Twinkies was surprisingly light and airy. It did not take away the flavors of the cookies and cake. But I must admit, the churros were the best among them. Freshly made churros and ice cream was the killer combo I didn't realize I wanted. Really affordable desserts. I've only ever gotten churros and mini pancakes here. They're made fresh and you can get them with all sorts of toppings but I prefer the churros plain with cinnamon and sugar. The only thing is there might be a bit of a wait - especially if there are orders before you are for an entire tray of churros. If you don't want to risk a long wait, I'd recommend calling in your order in advance. Only problem is you'll have to pay with card over the phone and there's a fee for using card. They have a lot of desserts and drinks. Coffee and shakes. They also have chicken fries which I've never ordered but my cousin has and likes it. Really good value. read more

The churros and ice cream are easily 5 stars. I'd give it higher if I could. The issue is with payment. They accept cash and credit. I paid with Apple Pay. Before I could even think about tipping, which I would have gladly, her fingers moved so quickly and helped herself to her own tip! Suddenly the payment was processing. I don't like this kind of aggressive behavior. Maybe they have issues with people not tipping, but this is in no way a solution! Very disappointed took 40 Mins for our order , so many people behind me got thier order. I have my receipt and it's 9:33pm when I got my small order. She said 20 mins. Cool I can wait 20 but wow 40 mins and cashier avoids eye contact with all her customers. Gotta give this place 5 stars. I always use a delivery service from them so I have not been physically at their store. They get the order right so far with my modification requested The churros are light and airy with a soft doughy mochi center. It's has the right of crunch when biting into it without the overly oily taste. I have placed the left over churros in the air fryer the next day and was still delicious. They have mini pancakes that the kids love. We got it with chocolate and strawberry drizzle. It did not say it was also sprinkled with powdered sugar so the little bite I had..it was too sweet. So, my reason for the lack of the 1 star is strictly based on the fact that they have a .50 cent charge for using a debit card. I get it they get charged so they have to charge us. There are so many other options out there and so many other POS systems that could be used. Now the food - everything is made to order, the churros were delicious, the ice cream was delicious. Both thence cream and the churros tasted fresh, the churros may have been a little overdone for some people - but for me they were great. We ordered the ice coffee and it was just alright - nothing spectacular would have been nice to be able to choose from more than caramel or vanilla oces coffee - but who goes to a churros place for iced coffee. Overall I'm very pleased with my visit here. If you're ever in the neighborhood it's totally worth the stop. read more

Use to be good quality 2nd time I get half cooked plantains from these people. Shameful when you drive a distance to get them. Omg... if you are having a late night craving this place is it. I originally went to try the churros and then was surprised by how many other options they had. Churros, ice cream, milkshakes, fried Oreos, even food like French fries. The Oreo sundae is customizable and you get to choose your toppings. We actually overstayed our welcome but no one ever hounded us to leave the table. It wasn't packed since it was an early lunch on a Thursday, but it was nice to be able to have our meeting and not feel pressured to leave. I only wish this place was close to me! It's the kind of place you want to go back to over and over! If we meet in Downey again, we know where to go!

Loved coming here for the fried oreos and the champurrado. The churros are nor great way way too doughy and seem uncooked and too greasy. Not sure if protocal changed but you could come here to get a champurrado be in and out the door within minutes. Now the last few times I have got the "there isn't any we can make some in about 20 mins". Great, next day I call and was told there was none but will have some in 30 mins...I call again in 40 mins and was told they don't make any until I order some. Excuse me what? The run around is so frustrating. You have the giant pot of champurrados I'm ordering just 1 cup so not sure why I have to first order to have some ready? After stopping at a pop up churro spot on valley view and Leffingwell, I was craving their delicious churros but to my surprise they are only there on Friday and Saturday. So I decided to go to a churro place near Cerritos. I found this place after looking on Google and drove there to try their churros. Churros where very small and skinny, but worst part was they where hard and had an old taste as if the oil was not changed in some time. I guess this is the last time I'll go there . The men working behind the counter were extremely friendly and helpful, also letting us know they were newly opened. So love being able to support a new local business in the area. I didn't look up the place entirely to see what they offered so was surprised when I saw the frozen yogurt machines (similar to Yogurland or other yogurt shops) lined up with various flavors. Everything was clean, and the machines led up to the counter to pay where the usual yogurt toppings are available for you. We did not plan to get yogurt for our visit but instead got the 15-piece mini pancakes and added ice cream to it. I believe you can get all the toppings on the pancakes but we only got strawberry syrup, strawberries & bananas, and cinnamon toast crunch. We were also able to sample some of the ice cream flavors some of which were unique. The strawberry cookies and cream and matcha (I forget if it was matcha strawberry).
