This place was one of the first of many xlb places that brought some actual good quality xlb into SF. I believe now they own more than 6 different dumpling places around the bay including Dumpling Story and Dumpling Hour. My partner and I loved this location when it first opened. But now it seemed to have gone down in quality. Expect a wait if you want to come here, but the line does move fast. We ordered the pan fried pork bao, pork and chives dumplings, pigs ears appetizer, and the hot and sour soup. The pork and chives dumpling was our favorite, the skin had a good chew and the flavorful filling to skin ratio was great. However the rest of the order was disappointing. The pan fried pork bao was not very hot, and the fried skin was not crispy and a bit doughy. Kind of like it's been sitting out awhile and there weren't much juice inside. The pigs ear dish doesn't taste properly cooked, it has a bit more funk than I liked, plus it was cut really sloppily. Overall was not a bad experience, but for the price and the waiting you could really get better dumplings at one of their other locations. You'll find better restaurant ambiance than this one which is usually super busy and majority outside seating.
I've been here twice, but now I'm finally writing a review. Huge fan of the pork sesame and chili oil boiled dumplings. Had it the first time and the second time, didn't disappoint. The flavor is good, the wrapping isn't too thick or hard. The right balance of sauce for me. Juicy pork bao was great also. Super fun to eat and suck out the broth, and perfectly crispy on the bottom. Great flavor as well. Also really liked the Dan Dan noodles. The noodle texture was super chewy, perfect. Sauce ratio and meat was good. Get it if you want a noodle dish, not a meat dish. The flavor and texture of the noodles stood out the most over the minced pork. The crab and pork XLB was a hit with my friends but I thought it was alright both times. It's not bad, and there's a good crab flavor but I just think the other two dumplings and dishes I reviewed are better. Potato salad I wasn't a fan of. But dipping it in the vinegar really helped. It had some sort of strange floral flavor. When I went, it was busy around 6:30. If you go around 6 on a Tuesday, there was no wait at all. 5:30 on a Sunday, had a 30 minute wait. Service was nice and efficient. A cosy setting and crowded.
YUM I loved everything we got here, especially the pan fried dumplings which come fried on the bottom and boiled on the top. They were so juicy and delicious but also had the crispy texture. I also loved the Xiaolongbao and you can even watch them hand-make them while waiting in line for the restroom. We ordered the famous "numb and spicy" ones, but I didn't find them to be spicy at all--maybe I just have high spice tolerance? They were still so delicious. The cucumbers were also addicting. There's a digital waitlist inside the door that you put your name in and they text you when your table is ready. We didn't have to wait that long at all despite there being a line out the door when we got there. Service is extremely fast. All of our food came out immediately besides the xiaolongbao.
Only order their dumplings, don't order the other dishes. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, the Juicy Beef Bao, the Beef Xiao Long Bao, the Season Beef Pockets, Green Beans, Green onion pancakes, and the vegetable bao. Worst order: DO NOT ORDER THE DAN DAN NOODLES. They came out cold so it was basically inedible, and there was very little sauce and seasoning so it was extremely bland. IT was defintely the worst dan dan noodles I've ever had. I was warned by a friend to not order their dan dan noodles because they also came out cold and bland when she ordered it previously, but I was assuming that was a one off instance. But it seems like their noodles are always cold and tasteless. Best order: The Juicy Beef Bao was really really good. The soup inside of the bao is really rich and flavorful. The bottom of the bao is pan fried and the top is steamed so each bite is a really satisfying texture. If I came again, which I probably won't, I'd definitely order this again. Their beef xiao long baos were also pretty good. The soup inside was also tasty. The Green beans also came out pretty cold, so I wasn't a fan. The taste and texture was good but any dish being cold ruins it. The vegetable dumplings were also pretty yummy! I will have tp say they get bonus points for having many vegetarian friendly options (I'm not vegetarian but my friends are). The green onion pancake were alright. Service etc: We came on Sunday 12pm and had to wait 20min for a table because it was pretty packed. The food came out pretty quickly but that's because the food was cold already, so I would've preferred if they took longer with the food if it was warmer. All in all, I probably wouldn't come to this spot again and would keep looking for a better dumpling restaurant. But if I came again I would only order the dumplings and get none of the side dishes.
This spot has been on my list for quite a while and I'm glad I was finally in the area to give it a try! I'd say this definitely deserves high praise, and I didn't mind waiting in line before opening at 5pm, but I probably wouldn't wait longer than an hour for a table to open up. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles, chili oil pork wontons and pork xiao long bao and these were all some of the best I've had, even compared to some favorite spots in China Town. The Dan Dan noodles had a more sesame or almost peanut buttery flavor mixed with the chili oil than I've had at other places, and I really enjoyed this. The chili oil pork wontons were pretty standard but hit the spot, and the pork xiao long bao were big, soupy and flavorful! Those are probably the best xiao long bao that I've had. I would definitely come back to try other XLB, some pan fried options, and their crispy chicken wings, as those all looked good at other tables!
When we got there we had a group of 11 people and were seated very quickly. Staff were very friendly and worked quickly. The inside of the restaurant had nice lighting and the restaurant was very nice and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious. The broth in the juicy pork steamed baos had so many flavors. Everything was so flavorful and there's a reason why this place has a Michelin bib. For being so good, it was super cheap compared to other restaurants that offer mid food. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great meal
Honestly just 10/10 everything. The food here is so high quality and fresh, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We got about 5 different varieties of dumplings and the Brussel sprouts. Again everything was delicious! Quick service, and authentic experience. Always a blast to go to on a date or with a group so you can order a lot and share. Outdoor and indoor seating - the outdoor is cute! Street parking nearby isn't impossible to get.
Came here for the soup pork dumplings! Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Came on a Saturday a little before they opened. There was already a line. They do go quick so not too bad of a wait. Also ordered the potstickers but preferred the soup dumplings. Have option of ordering 4pc/8pc. We loved it so much we got another order and finished!
This place is awesome. Absolutely fantastic. Get everything but my favorites are the pork and veg potstickers, spring rolls and cucumbers in garlic sauce. We also had Dan Dan noodles, pork xlb, and pork dumplings w/chili oil & sesame sauce. But for real, get the spring rolls and potstickers. So flavorful and delicious. It's in a cute little spot, but parking is tough. I suggest you Uber or walk there.
Very good food I loved it and also my husband. Service was fast and perfection 10/10 we got the Juice pork bao 10/10 Pork xiao long bao10/10 Chicken wing dry fried wings 10/10 Quality's was perfect for two people total was $58 totally worth it Ambiance was very cozy to us. They have outside sitting but get there quick as soon as they open because it doesn't get busy but so worth the wait
It's not a dumpling house, it's a dumpling home. And it's run efficient as a military base. We showed up within an hour or so of closing and there was a long line. Had to sign up for the list on yelp, but even at 16th spot in line we sat in 25 mins just as predicted. The dumplings were very delicious. Our spicy pork wontons were ok but needed a lot more chili oil sauce. Great food and would go back for sure
During lunch break while attending an opera festival at SF Conservatory of Music, we found Dumpling Home which is within walking distance from SFCM. There was a long waiting list and the restaurant was packed with people, inside and outside sitting area. We waited about 20 minutes. The waitresses cleaned and set up the table for us very efficiently. We ordered right away since we already knew what we wanted. The food came quickly. We ordered 'Numb and Spicy XLB (4 pcs), Napa Cabbage with Pork dumplings (8 pcs), Juicy Pork Bao (pan fried) (6 pcs). They were quite flavorful, the skin was especially good that the XLB did not stuck to the paper underneath it. We were (3 of us) quite pleased so we also ordered 'Pork Dumpling with Sesame Sauce and Chili Oil'. They were quite good and the spiciness was acceptable. Let's talk about the service. The restaurant was very busy, the wait was long, but once we sat down, the food came quickly. The waitresses were very busy but still provided good service. It is a Michelin one star restaurant and I agree and highly recommend it and will visit again in the future.
We lucked out coming on Saturday at 1 hoping for a spot. We only waited about 20mins and knew immediately what we wanted to order. We've been here once before and our lives were changed. We ordered 2 orders of the juicy pan fried pork bao and 1 order of the numb and spicy xlb. These two are the must orders. Please order these. I'm drooling reflecting on this experience. This place gets so so busy and it's understandable why because these are the best dumplings we've had in the bay so far.

SOOOO GOOD. Mindblown. Juicy Pork Bao So juicy!! Crispy on the bottom and juicy. A perfect combo. Pork XLB Very good. I think DTF is a little sweeter, but they're both so good. Green Onion Pancake I would skip these. A bit dry. Numb and Spicy XLB This one is better than the original pork xlb. A MUST TRY! It's so flavorful and not too spicy. It may be the best XLB I've ever had. Napa Cabbage Pork Dumplings Ok y'all, these are some of the best dumplings I've ever had. I'm not even a big napa person, but these are delicious! So tasty. Hot and Sour Soup The soup was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Can't wait to come back for dumplings!! read more
So yum! Came here on a Sunday and sat outside with my dog. There was no wait and service was quick. Food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Everything we ordered was so delicious. The fried pork bao was crispy on the outside but so juicy and tender on the inside. The beef brisket noodle soup was also really good, and the portions were big. The beef melted in my mouth. The numb and spicy XLB was also a hit and super juicy. Spice levels are extremely mild though. The waitress said it would be spicy but it wasn't spicy at all in my opinion. SF has no shortage of restaurants whose names are prefixed with "Dumpling." I'd imagine establishments with this naming convention finding it hard to shine in such a crowded marketplace. That is, unless you're Dumpling Home, long revered to be one of the best dumpling joints in SF. As a party of two on a Friday evening, there were over 9 parties ahead of us, but the line moves quick (little less than 30 min). The food arrives pretty promptly after ordering too, a hallmark of Chinese restaurants. The juicy pork dumplings are utterly sumptuous, crispy bottoms contrasting the plush skin and silky soup inside. Definitely the best I've had. The crab and pork soup dumplings are also standouts, very robust in crab flavor, which is a qualm I have with this XLB variation . Heavier than din tai fungs but delicious all the same. My boyfriend made a snarky aside as I ate the soup dumpling whole, something about a breach of dumpling etiquette. Dumpling policing aside, this dish too otherwise superb. A surprising favorite and reigning champ of the night were the dandan noodles. Sesame forward and less spicy than other renditions while still not feeling overly indulgent with the nutty flavor. We also had the wood ear fungus which was delicious and lended a delicate acidic contrast to the rich meal. A skip? Probably the eggplant. Just too oily, almost swimming in a vat of viscous, overly sweet sauce. It gave both of us a pretty gnarly stomach ache. Worth trying if you stumble on a short line! The highlight of the meal had to be their soup dumplings they were surprising juicy and had an excellent skin to filling ratio. The filling was juicy and packed with soup while the skin was thin but not too delicate that it bursts easily. Our party really enjoyed the pork boiled dumplings, and the spicy pig ear. The pig ear was crunchy and not overly spicy/mala. The famous sheng jian baos fell a little short. I would say the dough is a bit thick and on the sweeter side, reminiscent of a sweet mantou. Another dish that was just alright was the woodear fungus, we were expecting a cold marinated dish but it came warm. The dish was a bit bland for our taste. If you're looking for a crunchy dish I would opt for the pig ear! read more
Their baos and dumplings are phenomenal and a must-try if you're in the city! I've had to wait for seating when coming on the weekends for lunch and dinner, but got seated decently fast on a Tuesday evening. It can get kind of chaotic, but the service is fast and surprisingly attentive given how busy they can get. The pork xiao long bao and juicy bork bao are my top picks, but their numb and spicy XLB is also a great choice to break up the monotony. Their steamed dumplings are also delicious with a good portion of filling and a nice slippery skin. If you want a side of veggies, the green beans and okra are both seasoned well and retain a nice crunch. I would skip the other non-bao/dumpling dishes like the beef noodle soup and green onion pancake. Those are quite average and the textures of the noodles and pancake were kind of flat. read more
We went to dumpling home and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their soup dumplings. This restaurant puts the famous ding tai fung to shame. The overall skin is very delicate and thin, and yet it held the fillings well. The soup was very flavourful, and did not have any hint of being too heavy or watery which an issue in a majority of soup dumpling restaurants. The crab soup dumpling was very umami and the crab flavour was fresh. I was very curious about the spicy dumpings, and wasn't disappointed at all. The fried soup dumplings was on the sweeter side, but the fried bottoms were crispy without being heavy. The eggplant was a miss, however, it was just a basic sweet and sour sauce and there's nothing special about it. If you come for the soup dumplings, you will have a great time, but maybe avoid the vege specials. Expect long lines (an hour normally) read more

Phenomenal dishes! The noodles and xiaolongbao are definitely the signature dishes here. I've never been to a restaurant where sauces and toppings compliment the noodles the way it is done at Dumpling Home. The atmosphere is great for a dim sum place. If you're coming here, make sure you get the pan-fried juicy bao-- it's truly their specialty. The dough has just the right bite and texture and they somehow pack them with so much flavor. I've tried several other items -- dan dan noodles, ginger scallion noodles, crab & pork xiao long bao, and the green beans. They were all tasty, but they didn't feel as unique, and you can likely find versions of similar quality (and lower price) at your favorite family-run Chinese restaurant. That said, the bao alone is worth making a trip for. There is almost always a wait but it usually goes pretty quickly. read more

Highly Recommended! I recommend getting reservations in case it's busy. I've had a lot of dumplings, these are the best dumplings I've ever had. They are so juicy and the soups are delicious. I think these dumplings are better than Din Tai Fung. I also love that they have pescatarian version. I'd skip out on everything else. The dumplings were the definite stars! Workers were friendly and the food came out at a good pace. Ambiance was good. I can't wait to come back here when I visit SF again. read more

This place was great. Definitely one of the best places I've been for soup dumplings and pan fried ones. Service was very good. The wait was a bit too long though and we ended up sitting outdoors on a rainy and cold evening. Didn't really enjoy that part. read more

Food was good! I especially liked the sesame chili wontons and the green beans. The xiao long bao flavor was also good and the beef noodle soup was delicious. Everything was very standard for what its usual taste is so I wasn't wow-ed but dumpling home is definitely a solid spot. The sesame chili dumplings were very unique and a different style which I really liked!! Service was okay, they were quick when we got to make requedts but since they were really busy, sometimes it took awhile to get their attention. The store was so so so busy and not big enough for the number of customers. It is a nice place for SF terms though. I would come back again! read more

I still love this place! Lined up at 4:15pm on a Saturday and was first in line. The line started to get longer by 4:30pm. Service is still nice and quick. Pan Fried Juicy Pork Baos are so delicious, Iove eating them with the green beans and cucumbers. I tried the Steamed Shrimp and Squash Baos for the first time, and these were surprisingly so good, too! read more

Dumpling Home came recommended, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived fairly early for us in terms of the dinner hour, and the place was already packed leaving us only outdoor seating. The woman that seated us wasn't overly friendly, and when we asked how long the wait would be for us to be able to dine indoors where it was warmer and less street traffic she grumbled something at us and implied that indoor seating wasn't going to be a possibility. There were only four tables outside, and no one had occupied them yet, and as soon as we were seated, the other tables filled up pretty quickly. We both took this as a good sign that the food must be tasty. The waitress stopped by the table, rather quickly, brought us tea, which she emphasize was complementary, and glasses of water. The water had a funky taste to it, but it is what it is. We did ask if she had some recommendations, and she pretty much didn't want to be bothered. No worries, we already had our eyes set on a few menu items. We started with the scallion pancakes. They were light, but not the crispy texture that they should be. They did not offer any sort of dipping sauces to go along with it, which I thought was rather odd. We did have to ask for soy sauce, which isn't really a good choice. Next we shared the juicy pork bao. These were probably the best that I've had stateside. The meat was absolutely tasty, the broth savory, and the combination was really delicious. We completed our meal with the pork and crab xiao Long Bao. We decided to order four instead of eight, since while this was definitely a stop for a meal, we definitely did not intend for it to be a full-blown dinner. These were tasty as well!. Again, the meat was absolutely delicious, and the broth was very savory. They definitely could've used a little bit more broth or maybe that's just what I'm used to. The crab pretty much ran through the dish. Other than a little sprinkling on top of the bao, there wasn't much crab to be found. I found the bao a little bit more glutenous than I prefer. I just seemed rather heavy. Customer Service is very mediocre, the food is decent, but the combination of everything, left us both with the feeling that we had a first experience, but not one that we're probably interested in repeating. read more

I've been wanting try this place for a while now and their dumplings are SO DELICIOUS!! Their pork pan fried dumplings are filled with so much soup and enjoyed the textured of the fried bottom. Their steamed dumplings equally has so much soup in them. I'd definitely come back for their pan fried and steamed dumplings! I'm knocking off a star since the noodle dish we got was a mid dish. The noodles did not come out hot and the flavor was bland to me. I added chili oil to the noodle dish to make it taste better. We came here once it opened for dinner on a Sunday, and it started to get packed once we left. Service was pretty quick. read more

Wanted to try this after seeing that it topped many lists as one of the best dumpling places in the city. Overall experience was good, but could be better. For starters, our wait time was pretty different than what we were told, which made us very hungry. I tried out multiple vegetarian dishes and they were good, but I wouldn't say super memorable. We got: Veggie pan fried dumplings - very good and crispy, loved the texture and the filling was good Steamed veggie dumplings - also good with same filling but I like the pan fried ones better Ginger and green onion noodles - good but not memorable Overall it was good food but I will say I have had more memorable dumplings in some other places. But still a solid choice and I'm very glad they have so many vegetarian options!! read more

Quite honestly, some of the best XLBs I've ever had in the Bay Area! I'd been wanting to try Dumpling Home in San Francisco for ages, and it truly did not disappoint. Beyond the classic XLBs (perfectly soupy and flavorful), I also tried the lamb curry dumpling (also very tasty), pork pan fried bao/dumpling (so juicy!)and their mixed mushroom plate (a must-order if you like mushrooms). Heads up: I arrived before opening and there was already a line forming. Definitely try to come early if you want to be seated right away. read more

This is the best Chinese food i can have in San Francisco. From the delicious pork dumplings, fried bao, spring rolls, through the brussels, i can get a consistent taste every time i visit them. And i love to pair it with a Jasmine Lager which enhance the flavors without overwhelming with any bitterness, subtle, cut out fattiness and refreshing. And i can't avoid to mention all the girl power behind the service, these girls are amazing keeping the rhythm. Recommendation, for a better and quiet experience, ask for outside table. read more

Great experience. Food was very tasty, although the noodles were a bit dry and bland. However the star of the show was the Bao. We waited a bit for seating and had to keep a close eye on the Yelp waitlist. Be sure not to wander off too far as you can get a table at any point! We were craving Chinese food for dinner, and our friend took us to her favorite spot in SF. It was a busy weeknight, so there was a bit of a wait before we got seated. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating, which is nice. Service was friendly & efficient enough, though the food took a little while to come one after the other. Not a big deal since the place was bustling. Here's what we ordered : * Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns /shēng jiān bāo : The bun had a perfect golden, crispy bottom with a soft, fluffy top. The filling was tasty, though I personally prefer it more on the savory side, there was a slight sweetness I couldn't quite pinpoint. I used to get these often in LA, so I'm glad to find them here in SF. * Xiao Long Bao : Juicy and flavorful with a generous amount of soup inside each dumpling. I love that they weren't dry, which can be the case at some places. * Dan Dan Noodles : saucy, nutty, and full of flavor. It had great balance of spice & richness. Must try spot if you're looking for delicious, well-made baos and dumplings in SF in Hayes Valley area. read more

We tried their Vegetable Bao -Pan friend one - honestly I was very disappointed as the filling was very dry and there was no taste to it. The soy sauce it was served with, I didn't like the taste Green Onion Pancakes - this was alright, I didnt think it was something very nice. Overall experience wasn't good. We waited an hour for this and I thought the taste was very mid to average for me. One of my friend's like their Pork Bao the Spicy numbing one. Since I'm vegetarian, I found there were very few options and the ones we tried didn't live up to the mark for me honestly. Also I am not sure they had a vinegar sauce or something with the plates in a small bowl and I am not sure but that smell was really weird and I think it just put off the whole thing for me. Loved this place! I've been dreaming about them and been wanting to go back, haha. My friend, her hubby, and I had plans to attend the SF Symphony and it was perfect since it was only an 8-minute walk to Davies Symphony Hall. We went on a Sunday afternoon, which was busy, but once I placed my name on their waiting list, I feel that the wait wasn't too bad? Maybe 30 minutes at most. I don't remember the names of each and every dumpling we shared, but pretty much everything was amazing, hot, and fresh! Loved trying the different types of dumplings from steamed, pan-fried, etc...and even the finger-lickin' good chicken wings! Perfect for sharing with a small group. Would definitely love to come back sooner than later! :-) read more
Obviously this place is offering up some high quality food but I seriously underestimated how much I would love this place! We ordered family style and I totally recommend doing the same. Service is FAST we received our dishes within 5 minutes I was astonished. If you can only get one dish make sure it's one of the juicy baos... I am still dreaming of the juicy pork bao. We came on a Wednesday at 12 when they opened at 11:30 and were seated right away outside as a group of 8 but usually there is a wait so plan accordingly! Enjoy! read more

first time being back stateside after a trip to hong kong and i can say that these dumplings satisfied the craving! we ended up waiting for a bit since it was mother's day and a party of 18 was dining but it was definitely worth the wait (~25 min). the servers are fast and attentive which definitely moves things along. we ordered the gong chicken dumplings (peanut), numb/spicy pork xlb, the pork pan-fried bao and the pork steamed bao & a pot of chrysanthemum tea. my personal favorite was the pan fried pork bao. the wrapper was perfect thickness and the pan fried texture was a great contrast to the soup inside (careful the insides stay HOT for a while). the numb/spicy xiao long bao (xlb) weren't too spicy but they did have that schezuan numbing quality about them. the steamed buns were so fluffy and well filled. the chicken dumplings were good too but just not as good as the other items we ordered. definitely recommend the xiao long bao & pan fried bao if you stop in! read more
Had dinner before an event at Bill Graham. It's convenient that it's walkable to the venue. This restaurant is not very big and they offer indoor and outdoor dining. It was pretty cold so bringing a jacket is a good idea since they don't have heaters. Since they are not very big, getting a table for a large group (ie 6 or more) can be tricky. Joining Yelp WL helps but it gets crowded and wait during peak times can be 45min to over an hour. Decor is casual and they have a small bench that seats 2-3 inside if you opt to wait inside and a few chairs outside. There is a QR code on the left as you enter for takeout orders. Once my party of 3 were seated, they took our drink orders followed by our food order. Items ordered: Garlic cucumber appetizer- I really enjoyed the crispy flavorful cucumbers and the texture was great! 8 pc Crab and pork XLB- Juicy and flavor was good 8 pc Pork XLB- Juicy and filled with broth Potstickers- Crispy skin and flavor was good Pork pan fried buns- The buns had a nice crisp and filled with broth and meat Chicken pan fried buns- These had broth but lacked flavor. visit san francisco just to try foods here ~ lol!!! place is just ok. staffs are ok and service is quite fast. for foods: * dry cooked green beans: crunchy and recommended dish. suggestion: using baby green beans should taste better ( may be ) because some of it stringy * house special sesame paste noodles: i am not fan of this dish and oily for me * numb & spicy xiao long bao: definitely recommended and must try!!! so juicy and flavorful will definitely come back here again to try other dishes. prices are average. recommended place for xiao long bao... read more
I found this place going into a concert across the street and saw that the line was so long so when I went back to SF, I wanted to check this place out! My boyfriend and I went on a sunday around 1PM. There were 4 parties ahead of us when we arrived and we were seated after 20 minutes. The wait wasn't bad at all and there are chairs outside. You can do either outdoor or indoor dining. We were given outdoor and the weather was nice however a bit cold due to the wind. Service was extremely fast! The bao buns came out ~3 minutes after ordering and the chives shortly after. The soup dumplings took a little longer but that was understandable. Juicy Beef Baos 4.6/5 * Crunchy on the bottom and very juicy. came out super fast too Pork and Chive Dumplings 3.7/5 * not a big fan of chive but my bf really liked it because of the strong chive flavor. very soft also juicy. Pork Xiao Long Bao 4/5 * the most soup in a soup dumpling I've had thus far. Flavor was a bit lacking and bland. Overall, this place was good, however nothing flavor wise stood out to me. It felt a bit repetitive but that could be user error in ordering. Would like to try their noodles next time! A tip I have for this place is to provide chili oil for some spice. Go right when they open. I got there at 4:55pm and there was already a line. Food was good. One bathroom. Place fills up real quick but if you are one of the first set of people seated your food comes out fairly quickly. Service was great and staff friendly. Came here with a friend on a Monday and it was packed. We waited for 20 minutes but it's so worth the hype. We got sheng jian bao, soup dumplings and their special curry lamb dumplings to try. As well as jalapenos tofu stir fry and jelly fish salad. The pan fried dumplings are so crispy on the bottom and juicy inside and soft on top. Overall a flavor bomb. The soup dumplings and the curry lamb dumplings are both delicious. The jelly fish is a bit bland but the jalapeño stir fry was good and a nice palate cleanser. I don't think they have anything frozen on the menu. The food always tastes fresh and amazing. Their staff arrives early to start prep and cleaning.

They do but if you tell them you have Allergies and MSG is one of them. They will actually make the food fresh with no MSG. I myself came back for that because I'm allergic to MSG.

When I tried to join the waitlist on Yelp during my last visit, I could not see wait times. The hostess just found me and my group and sat us before the app told us our table was ready. But someone else might have had a different experience!
