    Rice Roll Special

Very popular and busy place! Shared this with a good friend on our way to Ardbeg Day celebration in Little Italy and it was the perfect snack. The Rice roll special with scallion is very flavorful and filling! You can choose different sauces - sweet chili or their dark sweet sauce. You can also take it to go or eat indoors. Overall, a very lively vibe and the service is decently fast on peak hours!

CASH ONLY Definitely with the hype. Crazy value. Food was fantastic. The rice roll was perfectly cooked. Still some texture. Good chili crisp. Food was prepared quickly. Friendly staff. Counter space and some tables.

I always think that it is easier to do one thing well than to do everything average. This place does it all well, and their menu is very simple. Order at the counter, let them know whether you are dining in or getting togo food. They give you a receipt with a number on it and you watch the display to see when your food comes up. The seatingvis mostly table shared bar counter. They have a variety of sauces/condiments to add to your noodle dish 9mce it is ready. You clean your own area when done and continue your journey through Chinatown. The Shrimp Rice Roll with scallions was perfect. The rice noodles were so fresh and the shrimp were super tender. Everyone looked so happy slurping and shoveling their noodles to fill their bellies. I would definitely return to try some of the other rice rolls.

Solid rice roll cherng fun spot in Chinatown. They specialize in rolls so even though the line is long, they're pretty quick to turn around orders. My second time here, the first time I came I got the everything combo and this time around I ordered the beef with cilantro. Solid price and you should be full after 2 plates :p Would like to come back to try their wonton or noodle soup.

This place has been blowing up all over social media and rightfully so. If you're a big fan of rice rolls or you grew up on them, this is the perfect spot. You can't really find that many cheap eats in this economy but here you'll never feel like you're breaking the bank. I will say with hyped up restaurants expect a longish wait but it'll be worth it trust. Pro tip: come with at least 2 people so that 1 person can reserve a seat while the other orders because finding somewhere to sit can feel like a battlefield

O this is a wonderful addition to Chinatown! Yes to casual eateries, no pressure, just order and sit by yourself or grab a table for a group. I really like the set up. Communal long table or smaller tables for groups. Accommodating Diverse clientele, food for all! Dine in or takeout, they do it all. Can order in English or Chinese Wonton and noodle in chili oil (T6 on menu) was great. Flavorful and the wonton has roe inside it! Yay! I don't think I know another place that does this. Sauce bar choices available at the pickup counter Desserts black sesame (not on menu?) and soy milk available

A perfect spot to get a quick fix of cheung fun (rice rolls)! Located in SF Chinatown, it's right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Ordering your food is pretty streamlined: you order, take a number, and start scoping for seating. It gets pretty crowded, but people are always going in and out. I got the Rice Roll Express Special which comes with beef, pork, BBQ pork, and egg. SO GOOD! The rice paper is light and thin. The fillings are plentiful. The sauces completely elevated everything. Perfection! Portion sizes are pretty good too. Will definitely fill you up for breakfast or lunch.

A Chinatown classic, and a cheap eat in San Francisco. This is a no frills, fast-casual spot for East Asian breakfast or lunch. This was delicious and a highly recommended spot for good reason. Steamed rice rolls seem quite plain to the naked eye. They are plain, don't get me wrong, but it's the simplicity that makes it so good. The freshly steamed rice sheets are soft, pillowy, and slightly chewy. They're loaded with goodies of your choosing, like ground meat, shrimp, eggs, and chives.  The beauty of it is really in the sauce bar. Some sweet soy, peanut sauce, and chili oil make it a savory, creamy, and spicy bite. The chili oil is not necessarily spicy, but rather fragrant with flavors of fried garlic and shallots.  It is such a good start to your day as you explore Chinatown. Enjoy it with a side of warm, fresh soy milk and you're ready to have a good day. This spot is a perfect way to support one of the remaining Chinatowns of the US, and is a great way to experience traditional cuisine.

Finally got to try this place on my list. Tried their wonton soup with shrimp and crab roe. I liked the broth but the wonton itself was a tad salty. Also didn't really have shrimp. However the sauces when added to it cut through the saltiness and made it taste better. Order at the kiosk and pick up when your number is called. Will be back to try the crepes which they are known for.

Amazing spot for a quick lunch! We ordered from the counter and waited around 10-15 mins for our food to be ready. The rice rolls were made fresh, thin and generously filled. I also enjoyed the soy milk here and would always stop by to grab one even when I'm not eating there. Remember to bring cash when you visit or you can use venmo for payment.

Really affordable cheung fun. The rice wrapping is thin and pleasant. It's generally thinner than what you'd normally get at a dim sum place and has more layers to it. Spicy wontons are more of a warming heat than spicy heat. Wonton mein was nice too but definitely focus on their namesake! Took it togo since it was pretty packed on a weekday lunch hour

Outrageously delicious! Lots of shared seating, dishes come out super fast. Come hungry, come full, just come! A little piece of Hong Kong or Canton right here in San Francisco, from food to ambiance!

The food was heavenly. I got the rice crepe orders 1 and 2, and the rice paper was so soft. I enjoyed with some special sauce, sweet sauce, and chili sauce and every bite was remarkable. Service is self service, you get your own table, so I can't really control that nor give a fair evaluation. This is the spot where patience is needed because it was crowded and tables were filled. Ambiance was very crowded and had lots of customers, hole in the wall with minimal to zero external decoration because the food speaks for itself. 5 stars for the food!

The tempura ended up being too oily, so I didn't finish it, but I did really like the soba soup. It was quite tasty and savory. Also got to sit next to the lucky Buddha, and I rubbed the feet, so that was actually quite a nice blessing. The chef is really, really nice. Even though he was being swarmed, he was very nice to me and taught me how everything worked. Bad: The soba noodles themselves were just okay. They didn't have much flavor, and they didn't taste that great to me. It's also pretty expensive to get just an appetizer and a soba dish. It was over $40. Overall, I'm glad I came and tried out this super unique and special place in SF. I had a day off, so it was worth the wait. If I weren't coming on a day off, it would be harder to justify the wait.

The food was good, but there were a few things that kept it from being a 5-star experience. I ordered the Pad See Ew, and while the flavor was tasty, it was noticeably salty to the point where I ended up drinking about four cups of water afterward. The portions also felt somewhat small for the price. For example, the crispy calamari was $14.50 and came with only around 4-6 pieces, which felt a little underwhelming. Service was probably a 3/5 for me and my family. When we were ordering, the server's tone came across as a bit hostile, and we felt rushed both while ordering and eating. That said, the food still had good flavor and I can see why people enjoy this place. The ambiance definitely added to the experience, and with slightly better portion sizes and a more welcoming service experience, this spot could easily be even better.

I personally prefer a little more privacy while dining, so that took away from the experience. I won't comment on the wait time because that's pretty normal for popular restaurants in San Francisco. The highlight of the meal was definitely the A5 Wagyu Ramen. It was absolutely delicious and worth ordering. The flavors were amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. I've been to plenty of Japanese/Ramen spots and I've been running into the issue where I say I have a soy allegry and there is an assumption that I have a gluten issue (I do not have a gluten issue). I noticed yelp said they have soy-free options and thus called on Friday thinking it might be a bad idea as they're usually busy.. It was defintely hard for the person to hear a bit when they picked up. The staff did relay something about gluten free noodles.. Anyways, they said they could swap out any of the soy soups for salt (but soy can encompass a lot of things so I still wasn't feeling super confident but we're going to give it a go). We go and I asked which 4 of the soups I was eyeballing don't have soy - the staff said they can accomodate and replace any of the soy soups with a salt broth. After we ordered, the staff came back and checked in to make sure that my partner also didn't have an allergy. Not the best I've ever had but certainly among the best. The only thing I will say is that one of my companions can't have seaweed. The wonton soup was amazing but full of seaweed. It wasn't listed on the menu and we have never had seaweed in any other wonton soup so didn't know to ask if it could be left out. That was sad. The Galbi stew was exceptional. I liked that they had various levels of spiciness. We went with spicy and it had a nice kick that elevated the dish for me.
