Menu is also scannable and I think you pay right on the website. Food: super good dumplings. The shrimp dumplings were really good, and so was the green beans! We also got vegetable dumplings, black truffle XLB, and pork steamed buns. The truffle XLB tasted most like ginger to me, but maybe my dumpling wasn't that flavorful because my sister said the truffle flavor was really strong. Solid place to eat! read more

My friend and I were in San Fran on vacation. I noticed an old friend from childhood lived in San Francisco and asked her for recommendations, and she said to come here. I loved that we were able to get on the Yelp waiting list from where we were. It gave us time to grab and Uber and make our way across town while already "waiting in line." That way when we got there we didn't have to wait so long. I was glad we were able to do that b/c the place was packed and there were a lot of people outside waiting. It was super easy to order with their online system. We ordered basically everything on the menu I feel (it was a good thing they allowed us to have a larger table so we could fit all of our food!). I've been searching for a gluten free dumpling for a long time, and finally found it! The options are limited to just the spinach dumpling and the shrimp dumpling, but it was still delicious! My husband got the meat and veggie bun (not gf), and although he's a very picky eater, he loved it! I came here on a Saturday for lunch. It was pretty busy, but I managed to get a seat before the rush. I got the 生煎菜肉包 pan fried vegetable and meat buns and 凉拌海带丝 seaweed salad which were both really good. The buns had a fluffy, slightly sweet exterior with fragrant sesame seeds and crispy bottoms. The filling was juicy, savory, and satisfying. The seaweed salad was refreshing and well seasoned with a yummy sesame oil flavor. Service was efficient and friendly!! read more

I found this little gem by accident. Parking was pretty easy and the server was very sweet. I brought my baby and she helped me to a table with lots of room to park my stroller. The place is very clean and pretty big. We ordered the pan friend meat and vegetable bun. I highly recommend it. The outside was crispy and the inside was soft and spongy. It was so good I regretted not getting seconds. We also ordered the original XLB and crab XLB. Personally not a fan of the crab but you can really taste the meat. The XLB was juicy and tasty. The siu mai were good but a little pricey than what you would pay at a Chinese bakery. Steam dumplings were yummy! I wish I ordered more than one dish. We got the pork and vegetable. Thought we will give this a try given the many "Dumpling XYZ" series across SF. It probably is one of the least authentic. We ordered the must order - pan fried pork bun and it was quite dry, no soup oozing out when you bite into it. It is good enough though - probably best dish on the menu. How can I not write some prose about the crab soup dumplings! Another must get. It's delicate but is brimming with delicate balanced flavor. I would not have been the one to ever order the Deep-fried meat dumpling but my fiancé did and it's delicious. The chewy mochi like skin with a thin layer of crispy skin, ugh so good! The meat is more on the sweeter side but there is just a little bit of it so I don't mind it as much. I think of this as dessert lol. Lastly I cannot not write about the Cream Custard Buns. Ultra soft and the filling is just creamiest and sweetest. It's like biting a pillowy cloud. Everything comes out max hot so be careful not to burn yourself. I came here with 3 of my friends for dinner. It's a pretty small restaurant but the wait was pretty quick. You order on a website that is linked to your table and the ordering is synced for the table - like google docs for ordering. We got a series of dumplings, boas, and vegetables. Don't come here if you want to be completely ignored for 45 minutes as you watch all the white folk get served and catered too. My party and I got sat and watched as the hostess sat multiple white groups that came in after us get seated and their order taken. We didn't even get acknowledged. The hostess looked at us multiple times but didn't bother coming to our table once, we waited 45 minutes and once we saw the others get their food we decided to leave. PORK AND CORN & SHRIMP AND CORN DUMPLINGS: they really folded these so well! the wrapper was thin and the stuffing was just enough, it was a truly well balanced dumpling. they added so much corn too it was truly magical since i find most places skimp on the corn / stuffing! Wow! I was hesitant to try the Pork & Sweet Corn Dumplings but they were delicious. Loved the hint of sweetness and the texture that it added to the filling. I also tried their Shrimp Toast at the recommendation of a coworker and everyone agreed that this was the highlight of our meal. Can't remember what the sauce was but it tasted like a sriracha mayo and complemented the savory, crispy youtiao (chinese donut stick) perfectly - it's an unexpected combo but well executed. We ordered four items off the menu: cucumbers, pan-fried turnip cakes, shrimp and peak dumplings, and traditional XLBs. There wasn't anything that made the food stand out. Everything was just "okay". I had to ask for vinegar and ginger because that's how XLBs are normally served! I was surprised that they didn't come with the dish normally. We also asked for spoons to eat the XLB with. Our party of 5 had lunch here for the first time and we can't wait to go back! We were seated immediately when we arrived a few minutes after the restaurant opened. Ordering was done on our phones so was very quick. We liked how we could each add what we wanted to the order for the table. Our group was hungry so we ordered at least 15 dishes. The groups favorites were the garlic green beans- cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I could have eaten only those and would have been super happy about it! The wontons with chili sauce were incredible as well. Shu Mai and Har Gow were both fabulous. Salt and pepper chicken wings were also outstanding. Overall, the food was okay. Not mind-blowing but not not good. I ordered the XLBs, dumplings, and also the yellow custard bun (nai wong bao for y'all who speak Cantonese). The XLBs and dumplings were bland in flavor than what I am used to such as at Din Tai Fung or any other mom and pop dumpling shop. The yellow custard was pretty runny in the bun if you like that; however, I prefer to have more solid custard but that's personal preference. Overall, I wasn't super impressed with this location.
