Came here on a Sunday afternoon, party of 3. We ordered 5 dishes 1. beef lamen noodles 2. xiao long baos 3. spicy wontons 4. half peking duck 5. boy chow and mushroom dumplings. All the dishes were delish! I would say the standout dishes and would recommend if you're visiting try the lamen noodles and the peking duck, everything else was pretty standard. Service was quiet and quick.

We stopped by Dumpling The Noodle around 5:30 pm on a Friday. You can tell it's a popular spot. It was already two-thirds full with a steady stream of people walking in. Their menu features a lot of spicy dishes, but they are very accommodating if you ask for non-spicy versions. Beef Lamen: We absolutely loved the chewy texture of the noodles. It came with a generous portion of braised beef and a rich sauce. The sauce was a little on the salty side tho. The portion size was great, but the beef itself was a bit tough and dry (you can soak it in the sauce). Dumplings: These were excellent. The dumpling wrappers were clearly well-made, and the filling was flavorful and packed with real shrimp. Overall, the food came out incredibly fast, and the service was very friendly

We came on a lazy Sunday around 1pm, seating was easy peasy and ordering was too via paper. Service was fast, the buns took a while to come out. The ambiance was good, but there was a giant fly during our meal trying to get a bite to eat with us. We ordered the beef lamen, sichuan fried green beans and their signature pork fried buns. All in all the food was on the heavier side for us flavor wise, the texture of the noodles were less springy, we did like the green beans. I'd probably try a lighter dish next time but for the meal overall aesthetics were good, taste could have been better. I was a bit disappointed with the buns, they were more soggy than crispy but they came out well. The filling could have used more veggie and less salt. It was a good crisp outside bun though.

Solid lamen, good portion of meat! I thought the noodles could be a bit softer. Dumplings were big and juicy, flavour wise nothing special but good portions. Next time I'd get the dry beef chili noodle. Service is fast and plenty of seating.

Very solid Chinese dumpling and noodle spot in Wallingford! The restaurant is tucked away by a residential neighborhood alongside a busier street. Parking was easy to find in residential areas. The interior was casual and clean, on a weekday dinner there was no wait. My friend and I ordered a couple dishes to share: chili the beef lamen, pork buns, green onion pancakes, and pork and cabbage dumplings. My favorite dish is the chili the beef lamen. The noodles are thick and chewy and coated with a savory sauce that has a hint of spice-- kind of resembling braised beef noodle soup type spice. The beef was very tender as well. The pork buns and dumplings were fresh and juicy. The green onion pancakes were crispy and a great way to end the meal. In total with tip, our total came out to around $60, so about $30 per person with lots of food to take home was not bad. If you were to order individual dishes for one person, it is very affordable. Coming from someone who grew up eating Chinese food and am pretty particular, I find myself coming back here to bring my friends whenever they're in town and I think this is a really solid spot for Asian food!

This is easily the best place to go for your classic cozy beef noodle soup. I don't think their "spicy" is all that spicy, but it's filling and hearty either way. I would also recommend the delicious lychee drink, it pairs weirdly well with the hot soup and is super refreshing. This is an easy go-to at any time.

Came with 3 other diners to try out dumpling the noodle. It is street only parking. You are greeted upon arrival and seated. The restaurant was clean and they tried to bus the tables quickly when diners had finished their meals. I ordered Braised Beef Rice Noodle Soup and sampled a bite of everything pictured. My soup didn't have a super flavorful broth. Don't get me wrong, It was good. When I added vinegar and some other condiments on our table it really boosted the taste and I finished it off easily. Piping hot, tender beef, and the noodles were thicker flat noodles. I enjoyed it very much. The servers drop off food and cross out the item on your receipt at the table. They have quite a few items on their menu. As a local I would definitely return to try other menu items. Being that I am not local I would most likely try a different dumpling spot on my next visit. As I enjoy looking for new places to try out while I am in town.

Mock duck lamen "soup." The soup is mostly oil.

I ordered the mock duck lamen soup and my fiancé had the braised beef lamen soup. Both soups were MOSTLY OIL and it felt like I was just drinking pure oil. I told our server this and she gave the excuse of beef bones, but the mock duck one does not have beef (it's also marked as vegan..) It's a shame because the texture of the noodles is really good. I've literally never been served this much oil before, not in America, not in China or Taiwan. Service was also slow and they didn't care they served us so much oil.

Maybe this place used to be good but none of the food was good Chinese food. The food is edible and won't make you sick or anything. It's just subpar level of taste. Everything tastes fine and okay. Saying the food tastes good would be a stretch for me. We ordered the green beans, dumplings, spicy wontons, and a pan fried buns. None of us wanted more lol and we typically do eat quite a bit. Nothing special. Service was great and speedy. Food came out fast. Prices were great as well. I do not plan to come back. I can see how people come here for take out. My two friends and I (and all 3 of us are Chinese) think this place is not yummy. It's below average/average for us. This place is so skippable. It's not a place I would go out of the way for. We were glad we tried it and we crossed it off our list. If you lived nearby and this was your only Chinese food, then fine, going here makes sense.

This place was just okay. For all the hype and good reviews, my expectations were set pretty high. We got the dumplings and were unimpressed. The dumpling filling was not something I'm used to...it was dry and it was almost like shredded meat instead of minced meat usually used in dumplings. I didn't like that texture. The wrapping was also too thick. We also got the braised beef noodle soup. The soup was pretty good; had bold flavors, lots of meat, and I liked the texture of the noodles; had that "springy-ness" to it. The fried chicken was dry and the green beans were okay. Service was fast and fine. The place was modern, clean, and nicely decorated. Overall, it's just okay

Came here once for restaurant week and thought it was a great deal. I still see it every time restaurant week happens and it still looks like a good deal each time. Outside of that, we recently came here wifh friends who said that this is surprisingly their favorite peking duck in the city. Can in fact confirm that it's really good. Thin crepes, juicy not super fatty duck, all the components were great. Pork onion buns were also super juicy and i love the bouce to all their noodle dishes

Decent Chinese spot in Wallingford. Every dish was made fresh to order and came out piping hot. As the name suggests, they specialize in dumplings and noodles. We loved the String Beans and the House Special Pork Buns. Their Seasonal Beef Pepper and Chicken Corn dumplings were unique but flavors weren't as good as the other dishes. Great wrapper texture though. Service was slow on an empty day but friendly.

They've gotten so busy now that they do it in the back, and if you don't time your visit right, be prepared to wait in a long line. This is my absolute go-to combo on a chilly day, and honestly, the best hangover cure: Wonton Noodle Soup, Cod Fish Congee, Chinese Broccoli, and Chinese Donuts (Youtiao). You cannot skip the donuts--they are a must! My personal ritual is adding a splash of pink vinegar and chili paste into the congee, dipping the donut in, and taking a huge bite. It's pure comfort that warms you up from the inside out and instantly heals a tired soul. My husband prefers the beef wonton noodle soup because it's rich and hearty, but I love the classic, clean flavor of the plain wonton soup with its seafood-based broth. My girlfriend and I stopped in before a flight, which in hindsight was a mistake. We ordered around 12:30 PM (niku beef udon, garlic pork udon, and chicken karaage), and it took nearly an hour to receive everything. The karaage came out first after about 40 minutes, then one udon about 10 minutes later, and the final dish close to an hour after ordering. Because of this, we weren't able to eat together unless one of us let our food go cold. On top of that, the restaurant itself was uncomfortably cold, which made the long wait feel even worse. It also seemed like many other tables were experiencing similar issues--orders coming out at different times or missing entirely, with customers having to repeatedly follow up. What stood out most was the lack of communication. There was no acknowledgment of the delays, no check-ins, and no apology--not when the food was dropped off, and not even when we left. Given that we had to pay upfront and the price point was $20+ per bowl, it made the experience feel even more disappointing. While the portions were decent and the noodles seemed handmade, the food itself didn't feel particularly special to justify the wait or cost. I truly hope this feedback is helpful. With better timing, communication, and overall service, I think the experience could be much better.

The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

My wife and son highly recommended this place as a tasty place they found…read more.. After my son's fencing tournament where he stabs his friends... we went on the adventure. The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
