Use the central plaza parking garage on weekends for parking, but failing that, look carefully around for street parking as it does get dicey there. This rating is for an average, consistent, hearty meal. I still call this place Ichiro's from freshman year as I assume it's the same owner(s) with the same menu. It's always been an Asian Fusion with a variety of dishes to pick from, it's amazing how they're able to make them all with nice quality. They don't go above and beyond but I know I can always come and get a nice warm meal here. I do think the portions have gotten smaller as the prices increased since COVID - they used to have the large square takeout boxes you see everywhere but now they've resorted to a paper bowl the size of my palm. It's still enough to get you satisfied, but not enough where you can decide to have small leftovers as a snack for later. My go-tos are the teriyakis and chicken katsu here and I've never cared enough to try other options because I think other places on the Ave do it better (like poke or Korean). Since Orange King closed, I think this is one of the competitors for best teriyaki or at least the most consistent teriyaki. These come with a small side salad on top of your rice, two pieces of gyoza, and then your meat. They include soy sauce on the side but no salad dressing. There may have been salad dressing in the past so that surprised me as the salad was pretty plain without it (obviously isn't going to add much flavor to rice). read more

Could have used a little more beef IMO, but a solid meal for under $20 which is hard to find in Seattle. The meal arrived in under 10 minutes. Bonus for having outdoor seating that is set back from the road so it's quieter, and I could sit with my dog. There is a bathroom, and it is close to the Burke Gilman trail so a good pit stop. The staff were nice, helpful and happy to provide recommendations for lunch choices. It is a small restaurant (10-12 indoor seatings?) and imagine it can get busy at rush hours. An added benefit in the UW district is the parking that is attached to the restaurant - a great perk.
