Went here for three months before finding out they were vegan. Super impressed and are still some of my favorite donuts. If you're looking to make a trip keep an eye on their insta for when they make the cinnamon roll donuts. They are truly out of this world, but aren't made too too often. read more

Who would have though vegan doughnuts would be better than the non-vegan?! These doughnuts are so good they sell out pretty much everyday. Every time that I'm there I usually get a dozen different flavors and I can never pick which one I like the best. The best thing about it is that none of them are ever something I wouldn't want to have another one of. Honestly, so glad don't live closer in the best way. Every time 'm in the area treat myself and now crave it. 've never thought of myself as a donut person but every single one here has been amazing!! love that along with their regular flavors they always have special limited options. have yet to try the classic pistachio because the special ones are always so tempting and can only pick one! The staff is friendly and easygoing, they never mind my constant request for their opinion of the three flavors can't decide between that day haha A clean cozy space, there are lots of little things to look at while you wait as well as an impressively extensive drink menu of options and flavors. have never personally experienced a long wait in the afternoons but can imagine it might be pretty busy in the mornings. highly recommend a visit and a donut or two if you pass by read more

This is a completely vegan doughnut shop. All of their desserts and coffee are plant based. Not only are they plant based, but they are absolutely delicious! Whenever I am in Brooklyn, I cannot help myself from stopping at Dun-Well and champs. I brought a bunch of these doughnuts back for my family and everyone raved about them. Very good vegan donuts. I'm not vegan and I like these donuts a lot. Definitely the best donuts in the neighborhood. Service is great. Very strong cold brew which I'm always a fan of. Some of the safest feeling covid procedures I've seen any food establishment have in place this year. I love the blueberry donuts. So glad this place is open. read more

I've been going to Dun-well for years. The PB&J is my absolute favorite from here. It's the best jelly I have ever had in a doughnut. The staff is always super friendly and patient. I always order the hot chocolate with a shot of espresso and a shot of toasted marshmallow! If you are in Williamsburg you should definitely stop by Dun-Well!!! Now I need to go for a drive and get one! Hoping they come out with amazing fall donuts! Did I forget to mention this place is Vegan!!!! read more

Empty around 11am on a Tuesday. Pros: -Only $2.50/donut (vs. $3.50 at most artisanal donut shops) -Vegan -Lots of seating Cons: -Dough is pretty bland -Some glazes have an odd taste -$5 credit card minimum -- Chocolate Glaze Yeast donut with chocolate glaze. The chocolate glaze is sweet and pretty good! The dough is light and fluffy but bland/odd tasting. It reminds me a bit of the protein donuts from Doughbar Donuts. Plain Glaze Yeast donut with plain glaze (only on the top). The glaze has a bit of a strange taste. I'd definitely pick the chocolate glaze over plain glaze, but I think Cinnamon Snail has Dunwell beat on vegan donuts in terms of dough (theirs is denser, but more buttery and flavorful). The dream would be Cinnamon Snail dough topped with Dunwell's chocolate icing! read more

I love that this place exists and is an option for me to go to. This was a great alternative to the dairy made doughnuts most of us are used to. So far the strawberry is my fave. And yes almond cream doesn't taste the same but it a good substitute read more

Great quality donuts, is it the best donut I ever had no. Although it's soft, pillowy, and sweet if you have a sweet tooth. I got the maple and cream cheese pecan both donuts were great. Everything is vegan here! they have cute markings in the floor for safe distancing bc of the Covid-19 situation! The donuts here are so good!! They're nice a fluffy not too dense! I love a fluffy donut:) And I also love how they have different flavors everyday! They post their flavors on their Instagram @dunwelldoughnuts every morning! definitely check them out there! I got p+j filled with chocolate drizzle, lemon poppyseed and an apple crunch donut! My favorite was the apple crunch! The jelly filled had raspberry jelly in it :) the donuts are $2.50 for normal and $2.75 for filled! I will say that these are a little smaller than what I'm used to! The workers here are so nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed before leaving! They really know how to take care of their customers! When I go to back Brooklyn I will definitely be coming back here! read more

This is my go to spot anytime I'm craving a doughnut. They always have a great variety of unique and traditional flavors. Last doughnut I had was the orange pienapple, its was fantastic. They are always fresh and delicious. They also have a nice variety of teas and coffees and ice cream. The Matcha latte is always my favorite. The space is a good size & I always manage to get a seat. The staff is pretty fast and courteous. Im absolutely sure I will be back here again and again. PS; doughnuts move quick by the time the afternoon rolls around so be sure to get the most variety earlier in the day. read more

3.5 stars Their donuts are really actually DUN-WELL! and I was pleasantly surprised that they're VEGAN. If I didn't tell you that beforehand, you probably wouldn't know. They have a big variety of flavors, all of which I wanted to try. Since we had brunch plans after, and just popped in for a snack, we shared 2 between the 3 of us - strawberry fruity pebbz and french toast. Texture is pretty good - chewy and NOT dry. But a little on the sweet side for me. I don't think I could've had more than 1/3 of the two. I love the local feel of this place, and it seemed like it would go great in a place like Davis Square. If there was a location closer to me, I'd definitely come back to try the other flavors! read more

These are vegan donuts?! They taste like regular non-vegan donuts. They have your typical selection of donuts from chocolate, glaze, sprinkles, strawberry, maple to donuts with fruity pebbles and PB&J filled donuts. The taste and price are very affordable! Only $2.50 for their basic donuts! We tried the strawberry fruity pebbles and maple donuts. I liked that the dough was soft and the right chewiness. They were also not too sweet which I liked. The only downside was that the fruity pebbles were quite sparse and not evenly scattered. I shared the donuts with my friends and unfortunately my portion didn't have any or there was too little to even taste it. read more

Who knew this place was all vegan! Big donuts for $3.75! Take out only at the moment and they will require you to wear a mask when entering the shop. The peanut butter chocolate donut I had was great! Luckily they still had some variety when I showed up 10 min before closure at 6pm! Conveniently located just across the subway too! read more

This is an all vegan doughnut place which is awesome! It's nice to be able to pick any flavor my heart desires. I came here on a Thursday morning and their donut case was fully stocked with over 15+ flavors. I got the Boston Cream, glaze boys, spiced apple cheesecake, maple French toast and the maple glazed. I couldn't wait to stuff my face with them because they all looked and sounded so tasty. Unfortunately, they weren't all that great. Their donuts were just meh. I've had vegan doughnuts at many places around the country and these donuts rank on the lower end compared to the ones I've had at other places. The donuts here have a fluffy texture and are pretty light. I don't feel stuffed and heavy after eating a couple donuts as I typically do. I was okay with the texture, it's the flavors I was disappointed with. Here is my review of the donuts I had: Boston Cream: didn't taste the way a Boston cream should taste. I expected a custard filling, but instead got something that resembled chocolate pudding which wasn't bad, but definitely not what I'd call a Boston cream donut. I was disappointed since this is typically my favorite donut. Glazed boys: your typical glazed donut. It was just meh. Nothing great or horrible about it. Maple Glazed: I think this was my favorite. It had a tasty maple glaze. Maple French toast: just meh Spiced Apple cheesecake : this one sounded good, but ended up being awful. It tasted like some kind of cleaning product, I have no idea what they used to flavor it. I didn't taste the spiced apple or the cheesecake. This was the only donut we couldn't finished. It ended up in the trash. Thankfully the prices of the donuts are pretty cheap. I believe they were under $3 for each donut which is the cheapest I've ever bought a vegan donut, however, the donuts are smaller than ones I typically get elsewhere. Overall, an ok donut place. Parking here is tough. We couldn't find parking so I had my husband drop me off and wait in the car. read more

A friend of ours has been ordering Dun-Well every other days for 3 or 4 orders straight. After judging them for their lack of self-control, we decided to place an order as well. Call first thing in the morning to get the low down on the day's flavors. Place your order on DoorDash as early as possible (we ordered at 10am and seems like all the flavors were still available - called around 2:30/3 another day and they were no longer taking DoorDash orders and were out of most flavors). You can request flavors in your order but it's subject to availability of course. So far, have tried the strawberry sprinkle and it was delicious of me to rush to write a review instead of waiting to try all the donuts first. Typically prefer cake donuts, but this yeast donut is perfection and looks like the perfect Homer Simpson donut at the same time. If you love donuts, give it a try! read more

I run from sweets because it's just not my thing. However, my friends have a sweet tooth and I like trying almost everything at least once. I am particular with my doughnuts- no fillings for me. This was definitely my 1st taste of a vegan doughnut and there is a difference. It's more dense and the flavor was not as striking as a non-vegan doughnut. I ordered the arnold palmer. It was good, and a bit sweet. It's a bit pricey but there are tons of unique flavors to try. I would recommend arriving early for a better selection because there were limited options later in the day. My vegan friend actually bought half a dozen and finished most of them on our way to New Jersey. I recommend trying them out. read more

Dun-Well Doughnuts and I have been off/on for years... The first time I visited their BK location I ordered their strawberry sprinkled doughnut with its bright pink frosting and oh so many sprinkles. It was good! And I could hardly tell that it was different from any other donuts I'd ever had (read: vegan). The next couple visits were kinda 'eh.' The selection wasn't great and I was stuck with a couple varieties that just didn't do it for me. I thought our relationship might have ended there but something kept pulling me back (read: doughnuts are my favorite and I don't think I could ever really leave them). And then last week I happened to be nearby and figured I'd give the place one more try before formally breaking it off. But this time DW had the one doughnut that was on my list that I just hadn't had the opportunity to try: the peanut butter & jelly doughnut. This PB+J doughnut is a game changer. Ohmygosh. Beautifully fluffy dough filled with a dollop of strawberry jam and the covered up top with an undeniably amazing peanut butter frosting. Oo! And a sneaky little chocolate drizzle that just pulls everything together. Dun-Well is an absolute gem. I come here at least once biweekly and sometimes more. These are some of the best donuts in Brooklyn and you'd never know they were vegan. I love the strawberry glazed donut, lemon poppyseed donut, blueberry cake donut, and peanut butter & jelly-filled donut. But you seriously can't go wrong, I've never had a bad bite. The iced coffee is also pretty good here and I always get it with almond milk. Also, you can print things here by connecting to the printer's WiFi! It's expensive but great in a pinch. The only thing I've ever been meh on here is the cinnamon roll flavor shot for the iced coffee because it tasted like fake sweetener. read more

I love doughnuts and I really love these Dun-Well doughnuts. Pictured is the lemon crumble doughnut, and it was perfectly sweet with a great spongy texture of the doughnut and a great lemon flavor. Not pictured is the half dozen I brought for a function, and they were a hit! Notably was the maple, blueberry almond, and strawberry doughnuts. I wanted to give a lower grade because I went on a Saturday and the line was over 30 minutes long with only one person making coffee, and serving doughnuts. There really should be a better system, but the doughnuts are too good not to give 5 star. I will of course be returning and I will hopefully update with all good things! read more

Cute interior but the donuts were a bit disappointing as they just tasted a little bit off. Perhaps because they were vegan. The donuts were reasonably priced ($14/ half dozen) but ultimately were not my favorite. I enjoyed the non-dairy creamer and it was great to not have to pay a premium for them as you have to at many coffee shops. read more

Ordered: Donuts (Eggnog, Raspberry Chambord, Maple, Maple French Toast, Glazed, Blueberry) ($2.50 each) I've been craving Dun-Well Doughnuts for a while now, so you can imagine how excited I was when I finally got my hands on some. All their donuts are vegan and the flavors rotate daily. They post the daily flavors they have every morning on their Instagram story. I actually came a few weeks ago, but they were already sold out of all but 4 flavors, none of which I particularly wanted. I ended up coming back on Saturday morning and they still had all the flavors in stock. The donuts were light, pillowy, and just as delicious as I remember. My favorite flavors were the Blueberry and of course, the classic Glazed. My favorite of all time is still the Pistachio, which unfortunately wasn't in the rotation today. Overall, would recommend trying their donuts, especially if you're vegan, but make sure to come early in the morning before 10 AM for the full selection on weekends! This is by far my favorite doughnut spot of all time. Not only are they vegan but they're made fresh every morning. Creative, scrumptious and mouth watering with every bite. Mushroom toast was a bit pricey but you did get a lot of food for your money, the focaccia was crunchier than expected but all around a nice cafe bite. I just appreciate how this is such a gathering spot where you can watch bk life play out while working, it had a different energy from a lot of places in the area.

I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked. Just seem like the ones who didn't really give attention to customers or were kind of rude seemed like they didn't wanna be there.

The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! The salad dressing also was delicious. So good! Definitely highlight of this restaurant. - Clam chowder. Also 10/10. Hearty, flavorful. Loved every bite of it. Service was average. They weren't profoundly interested in giving best service instead just chatting amongst each other and dropping off plates. Also they forgot about the clam chowder we ordered and asked if we still want it.. YES..that's why we ordered it. Overall if you don't pay attention to those details it's worth coming for some great seafood. BUT I highly recommend getting a reservation.
