    Duck

When you come to Nantucket, one must expect to drop some coin when going out to dinner and such is the case at Dune, but at least it's good! We sat at the bar as they were booked for the night. :: Side note: we did arrive at about 5:30 and the bar was empty, but at about 6:30 it was full:: We enjoyed a few appetizers, some drinks and dinner. Dune is lovely. A bit modern, so not for those looking for that Nantucket rustic charm. But still lovely. The gazpacho with crab was fine. I wouldn't order again. The dumplings while delicious, were pricy for the amount of dumplings. My halibut ringing in at close to $50, was delicious. My friend laughed and said she was expecting me to get an even smaller piece, but by no means was this a large piece of fish. But it was cooked well and in a coconut milk sauce with some potatoes and veggies. My friends piece of duck was a nice size, and she absolutely raved. We had a few delicious cocktails and called it a day. The bartender was friendly and we had a good time! Not a cheap endeavor and you won't leave full, but the food was good and fresh!

If you love seafood and aren't afraid of trying creative dishes, this is the spot for you. Dune's menu is ever evolving and always uses fresh ingredients. The fish was outstanding quality and the use of contrasting flavors in each dish was completely unique to Dune. I eagerly anticipated each dish, we just had to order the entire menu. The hostesses and our waiter were all kind, personable, and worked quickly. We came 30 minutes earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us. The outdoor seating is beautiful and floral, the tent is a canopy of faux vines that I personally find charming. Highly recommend coming here more than once if you visit nantucket.

We made a reservation here in Nantucket and it was a great decision because the restaurant was full within its first round of seating within the first hour. The restaurant is located within the main area of Nantucket and easily accessible with walking. The restaurant has outdoor seating, indoor first floor with a bar and second floor dining area. Service was super great as our waitress was very friendly and helpful with deciding what to order. Presentation of food was amazing here as this was a place where I took pictures of every dish. Halibut was a popular dish as 4 of the 5 of us in our group ordered that. They had a special kale Caesar salad which I thought was tasty. I ordered the scallops and I thought they were perfect. The halibut was slightly over cooked. Overall this was a good dinner place here in Nantucket and obviously a popular one based off of the crowd we saw in the restaurant on a Tuesday night at the end of September.

This was our first time coming here. The food was delicious, but the service was not good, which is why I am giving it 3 stars. Our server hardly ever checked on us and we felt more like an "afterthought" table. He didn't even offer to refill our cocktails even once. The food was incredibly tasty though, so compliments to the chef. The dumplings were amazing as a starter. Both dishes we got were incredibly flavorful and fresh. I would be willing to come again in hopes we get a better server next time since the food was so good. Wish our tip could have gone to the chef!

Really enjoyed Dune. I thought the menu did a great job of combining different flavors into each plate, and would recommend to anyone coming to Nantucket for a nice meal on the town

It would be hard to find a restaurant that has worked harder to accommodate social distancing and indoor outdoor options. The wait staff and hostesses are communicating so well and sensitive to all requests. The food is beyond divine and unique with many vegetarian options. I had the mushroom risotto that was full of mushrooms as so creamy I want to go back tomorrow! I also had the tuna tartar that was beautifully presented and made with crispy bits inside. A perfect combination of flavors and textures. And for dessert a pot of chocolate that was topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate bits. Oh my goodness!!! Where has this restaurant been all my life. Sheer heaven!!!

Came here without a reservation since we could not get one, but got lucky. We were only visiting Nantucket for a few nights and this place was on my list. They have a very nice outdoor and another covered patio for dining. They have specials so ask the waiter! We ordered the calamari, mozzarella & tomato salad, the pork belly (special), and oysters. The pork belly was cooked alongside a mole sauce and it was amazing! For dinner we shared the swordfish and it was cooked to perfection. It melted in our mouths and the Greek "salad" underneath it was so flavorful. Definitely recommend this place if you can get a reservation or get lucky with a walk in.

If you are visiting the island they have a shuttle which will pick you up from in town, it runs in a continuous loop about every 20 min. Once at Cisco, they were charging a cover of $10 a person to get in. Inside they have a large courtyard, lots of tables, and a big stage with live music. They have a wine station, full liquor bar, and the beer station so you can try all of the things they make. They were doing a signature cocktail with fresh cucumber which was delicious and refreshing! They also distill their own spirits and single malt whiskey. They had one of the best wine Frosè I have ever had, called the Nantucket Frosè. It has FRESH fruit and berries, SO good!

A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

We started with the lobster and caviar Hawaiian roll, which was flavorful and delicious. The grilled octopus served over pork and white beans was another standout--the flavor profile here was top tier. Honestly, the appetizers had me expecting the rest of the meal to be on the same level. Unfortunately, the entrées were a different story. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but the lack of seasoning was unbelievable. The execution was there, but it desperately needed flavor. We also ordered the halibut, which was extremely dry--to the point that I couldn't finish it. The sides brought things back around. The jalapeño corn and Brussels sprouts were both and packed with flavor. And then there was the Filthy Dirty Rich Martini with caviar-stuffed olives --AMAZING. Easily one of the highlights of the night and something I would absolutely order again. Overall, 19 Raw nails the ambiance, cocktails, appetizers, and service. The appetizers in particular showed just how good the kitchen can be, which made the disappointing entrées even more surprising. I'd come back, but next time I might stick to cocktails, appetizers, and small plates.

I'm only saying this so that we can provide feedback for the experience. The garden out front is stunning but the service was slow and the server wasn't super attentive or cared to answer questions. I got the steak that was more rare than I wanted and had to send it back to the kitchen since we had asked for it medium. It was drenched in sauce that was way overly salty. The spinach and artichoke (cream(?) spinach was a terrible texture and hard to eat. The thinly sliced potatoes were salty as well and overall to spend over $70 for that meal alone was not worth the price. The steak frites were just fine, and the gazpacho was not a crowd favorite. Like I said, there was nothing from our meal that screamed amazing. But if you are to go... the beet risotto would be the must order. Oh also the bread was stale and the server just dropped the bread on our plates almost like he was throwing it at us. It just felt like the design of the restaurant overpowered the service and friendliness and was not worth the cost for the beauty of the garden-- the host was nice though.
