Additionally, takes me more than 3 calls to actually get someone to call me! Spencer plumber was very nice i have to say, and understood my concern, however wanted to make sure Scott the owner would call me back to handle the concern. Clearly Scott didnt care about me as a customer, they lost a customer and who knows how many now! I shouldve gone with Lynch Plumbing like i was going to! On Friday 12/27 we had a clogged bathroom sink and called Dunedin Plumbing as we had used them in the past . They had also completely replumbed our house in 2017. To make a long story short the problem was created by them when they had rerouted the drains . The plumber was incompetent and wasted a lot of time talking about his personal life. In the end he charged us $305 for a simple drain unclogging. When I called the owner Scott he was very unsympathetic and wouldn't work with us. I called a few plumbers in the morning, had no water after being gone a week and the water turned off, they were first to call back after 8am, I told them I had to go to work and the commute was to far to come home during the day--they had a guy out at 8:48am he fixed the problem right away --it was part the water softner/bad filter and part a valve stuck shut. He reassembled the pvc, put in new fitting and checked all faucets, toilets and showers before leaving. The plumber they sent was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I have a rental property in Paln Harbor, Florida on 4/14/17 my tenant called them to come out an fix a leak in the bathroom when the plumber came out he said he would not open the wall to fix leak because there could be mold he left with doing nothing a month later I recieve a charge for $215.00 on my credit card. When I called the office the receptionist was rude an pretty much said their keeping the charge on my credit card which I will be disputing! Plumber came out unhooked electrical wires in garage (never replaced them) ran several lines through cleanouts and eventually pulled toilet to clear blockage. Developed another clog when using kitchen disposal and another plumber found broken head in main clean out line. Dunedin Plumbing denied doing this and stated "it could have been in there for 100 years." That line had been checked previously this year and was clear. They would not take responsibility for what they did. Would never recommend them. read more

Dunedin plumbing replaced a tankless water system for my 86 year old mother in September 2018. They charged my mother $1485.00 for the "Best" system. Since the day of installation my mother has not been able to take a shower with any water pressure. Scott, the owner of Dunedin plumbing, has blamed the building, electrician and the milk man. The system that he replaced was a titan and provided excellent heating and water pressure for many years. I reached out to Scott in November, December, January and finally in February he returned my call to look at the issue. His final answer was "what do you want me to do, buy another system". Excuse me, but how heartless can you be to an 86 year old widow for a problem that you created. The electrician indicated that the system was inferior and the building has no issues with water pressure. Shame on you Scott and Dunedin Plumbing for taking advantage of my mother and the elderly. We had them come out for small job, change out two faucets and put in new pipes for shower. All areas were exposed due to remodeling job. Two of them showed up and they were here for 2 hours. The second guy was an apprentice not actually plumber. I got charged for 2 Licensed plumbers when one could do job. They charged 650.00, a bit much for lite plumbing work and didn't have to supply anything. I heard the one guy call his boss before filling out bill and ask why he was charging for the apprentice? Plus they took all my old faucets and plumbing with them. When I called, they flat out lied and said they throw it away. The owner/manager started yelling at me. I would let me house flood out before I would ever let them in my house again. We have since found out that they didn't hook up pipes correctly and had to pay for another plumber to come out. It is my opinion they did not send the repair people who had the expertise (or maybe the drive) to get to the root of the problem. They looked and then took apart the accessible (clean) parts of the pipe, changed out a few parts but did not delve further. Interestingly the plumbing department at Lowe's gave me more information about how to address the issue than the plumbers did. I was very disappointed with Dunedin Plumbing and will need to call in another company. Their hourly rate is higher than others and I only tried them because my regular plumber could not come out for several days. It turned out to be a waste of money and time. read more

Awful - they replaced 2 bathroom sinks and when I realized later that one of the faucets was leaking the lady on the phone denied they did the work even though I was able to give her the invoice number! I had to pay another plumbing company to come out to fix what Dunedin did not complete. I have used them 3 times - twice they did not get the billing straight and a month later (in 2 incidents) they finally got the billing straight (the plumber wrote down the credit card number incorrectly - I can see that happening once, but twice? And both times it took them a month to figure it out?). Very rude on the phone. I will not use them again. read more

I should have read the reviews before paying them so much $$$ to replace my older water heater without a pan, for a brand new one with a leak alarm and pan. After the new water heater was installed, and The condo was empty the alarm went off in the middle of the night. After several times of them supposedly fixing it and it alarming and leaking again the plumber said it was the air conditioning line or pan that must have been damaged during the installation of the water heater by them! They "fixed" what they said that was damaged during installation and it seemed to be ok for about a year. I just found out that the alarm was going off again and called Dunedin plumbing and they wanted me to pre pay for them to come out and look because it was out of warranty. But there was never a problem until I got the work done so you would think it would be good customer service to check it out even to see if it was the same problem. The manager was very mean and condescending on the phone and told me I had nothing better to do than call and complain and he told me to see if you buy a new car and it's out of warranty for 2 days if they would cover it, I told them Subaru did cover after the warranty as they have good customer service and he said Subaru's are crappy cars and he went on to say have a nice day we are not responsible after a year and stop wasting his time and how they have been around for over 30 years! They were hired to install a new bathroom sink. The pipe underneath leaked after the service provider left. We called about it and they came back the next day. They said they fixed it but it still leaked after they left. We called again and they sent out a quality control person. He looked at the sink and ignored what I said about where the leak was and said it was not a leak, that I wash my hands too vigorously. He left and it still leaked. We called a different plumber who came out and fixed it within 15 minutes. It has not leaked since. I gave them two stars because they came out very promptly each time, even though they fixed nothing when they did. read more

When I called they told me it would be $90 for the first hour. I explained that it was a very small job. When the service person gave me the bill it was $165. He said I must have misunderstood the man on the phone that it's $90 for the first 45 minutes. Interesting that a company would charge in that type of increment of time. It actually took him less then an hour to complete the job. He also charged me $42.50 for a piece of PVC pipe that was L-shaped and about 6 inches. I was charged for online permits but was told that they waited in line and had to charge a few. Yet the online permits costed $211.00 but charged $250.00. I was told that I could use a coupon until I got the bill then I was told I could not use that coupon. I now wonder if the work that was done was actually necessary. They are very expensive. ON 8/30/2017 Dunedin Plumbing installed a new bathroom faucet in my bathroom. One day later, the faucet leaked. There was a bucket of water leaking from the faucet they installed. I was told the cost would be $95.00. The next dayn i called to state the faucet leaked. I was told i would have to pay an additional $25.00 for them to stop the leak. The technician should have made sure there was no leak before after he installed the faucet. He did not check to see if the faucet was leaking. He installed the faucet within 45 minutes and left. I should not have had to pay the additional $25.00 for them to stop the leak that they had left the undone the day before. There was dishonesty with this company. Called Dunedin Plumbing for leaky tub faucet. An old man of 104 showed up. He started working when a big bang noise came from the kitchen. He had popped my water filter. After bypassing the filter he continued work on the tub. An 1:45 minuets later he was done, cost $209. Later that day when I got home the faucet was still leaking. They said it would be an additional $700. WTF! They would not refund my money. I got another plumber who actually fixed it for $240. Stay away from Dunedin Plumbing, they're a big ripoff. read more

I live right down the block from this business,where there a woods and shrubbery on one side of the street.I'm 64,with physical disabilities,and walk my dog on this block every morning.It is a highly ignored 25 MPH speed limit.Today,a Dunedin Plumbing truck sped down this street,missing us by maybe,2-3 feet.I reported this to ,who I believe is a manager there,Scott,who could not have been more rude,crude,and unprofessional.He didn't want to hear my complaint,interrupted me several times,saying" I don't have time for this.I have a business to run.I have 18 trucks,I can't be responsible for them".He finally,angrily said,"If you have a complaint about the(regular)speeders,call the police to put a radar trap there",and hung up.Very professional,huh?I reported him,and the situation to the Dunedin mayor's office Police Department liason .By the way,I only rated them a 1,because 0 was not an option!. read more

I have used Dunedin Plumbing in Dunedin many times in the past. Today I had a problem that I did not expect from them. About two weeks ago they sent a plumber to look at my plumbing needs at my request for which I paid $95 for about 15 minutes and their plumber did nothing but look and make some ridiculous comments. (I also understand trip charges are a given) Before the plumber left, he told me that if they did the job that the $95 would be applied to any charges and if over an hour it would be $25 per quarter hour or $100 per hour for labor plus parts, if any were used. When I called last week, 4/15/16 on a Friday, I asked for a plumber to install a shower head arm that I had a problem with a small leak. I asked if the $95 charge from before would be applied and if any other charges would be added. The "supervisor" that I spoke with told me that the $95 payment previously would be fine unless the plumber took longer than an hour or used any parts. The job was completed 4/18/16, Monday AM, and it took about 15 minutes to complete, using only some teflon tape and a little pipe dope. Then, when the plumber called his shop, Scott, (identified himself as part owner) said that we had to pay another $50 "continuance fee" for the work done today. THIS IS POOR BUSINESS IN MY OPINION! had all the parts from the actual manufacturer that were meant for my faucet. Jim came out and could not remove the cartridges under the handles..meanwhile breaking a part that stops the water from running when turned off..Now I have to carefully turn the handle until the water turns off...if I go past that point ..the water comes back on...THERE IS NO GUARANTEE when you supply the parts..I WAS TOLD by JIM and by SCOTT ( the manager) was told it was on the invoice that I received after the work was done..THEY MADE EVERYTHING WORSE and were rude,insulting my intelligence and intimidating/bullying me.( I am 77 yr old female) Told me it was all common sense....NEVER WAS TOLD that THERE IS NO GUARANTEE ( common sense..that there is no guarantee on their work?) when making the appointment..they told me all about the cost ( $105 service call,plus $30 for every 15 minutes after that. Very expensive and you don't get what you pay for here. I simply called to ask a few questions about our huge plumbing bill and I was screamed at by the plumber. The lady answering the phone literally hung up on me. One plumber that came out was very helpful to fix the first plumbers(from Dunedin Plumbing) errors but said he would need authorization to fix something they had ruined. This review is not based on the service I received from Dunedin plumbing, but from what a driver did to me in his work vehicle on Monday afternoon. I we driving with my young son in the car, when a Dunedin plumbing van cut me off pulling out of Scottsdale onto Patricia. He then looked at me in his side mirror, smiles and laughed and started swerving all over the road purposely. He left track marks in the grass near the bowling alley then pulled into the shop. I called Dunedin plumbing at 4:32, to let them know what had just happened. Their answering service told me they closed at 4:30 and couldn't transfer me over to speak with someone. For a company that is family owned, you would think they would be more cautious in the employees they hire, and be more concerned in the safety of the people that reside in the community. Would not recommend to anyone. Toke the plumber 3 hours to do a 1 hour job, made a mess of my Condo. Could not soldier the pipes together, had to try 3 times to get it right, when he turned on the water it leaked so bad it soaked my carpet he tried cleaning up with a shop vac and dirt shot out the other end all over my kitchen. We had Dunedin Plumbing out to repair our hose connection to our home. The service man was very helpful and re-plumbed it to have better access and put a new shutoff valve on. Very expensive, and and will stick you with a magically large bill. However they are professional, do good work and are friendly. Just expect to pay 2-5x what every they tell you it will be. They said I needed to replace a section of pipe in the front yard after they came and snaked and used the camera ($400). I Dug the hole in the yard they came out and cut the old pipe out and dropped a new one in. I was told the whole thing would cost $500. I end up with an invoice for $2,200. They were friendly and did a good job, but I will not be using again after my experience with them. read more

Overcharging for shower faucet: on the first day of service, I was told the cartridge was bad and needed to be ordered and charged $105 for the diagnosis. After calling twice, he came back and told me the cartridge was fine and the part behind it was bad instead (the first diagnosis was wrong). He offered to run to the warehouse to pick up the part and came back to fix it. As the result, I had to pay the continuation service of the first day ($30/15minutes) including the time he ran to the warehouse plus the cost of 2 parts. He said he did me a favor so he wouldn't have to come back the third time and waste my time of waiting. He did me a favor by saving me money with replacing the individual part. If he changed the whole shower faucet, it'd have cost me $500-600. The truth is the shower faucet was sold on Amazon for less than $100 and if he diagnosed it correctly from the beginning, I wouldn't have to pay that much money. BE CAREFUL read more
