Amazing just isn't sufficient for the service I received... Sump pump in sewer system out on Friday 3:30 p.m. Labor Day weekend. They sent out a 24 year old (Sawyer) with the wisdom and skill of a 42 year veteran. Understood the complete function of the system (more complicated than most)...Precise and neat work...quiet the craftsman. Three years ago I had a water heater installed for the total cost of approximately $1300 by Dunedin Plumbing. I just discovered it's leaking and had them out today - and although the water heater itself is covered by warranty, they want to charge me another $600 plus to replace it!! What a rip off! No discount given that they were the ones who installed it only 3 years ago. In addition to that idiots who installed it 3 years try to put in a drip pan that was twice the size that should've been and they had it folded going up the sides of the walls which would've contained no water whatsoever. I had to send them back to get the correct size drip pan and they probably crack the water heater along the way! So unhappy with this company - buyer beware! read more

The plumber determined that the bathroom sink leak was a faulty pop-up stopper. Spent approximately 45 minutes on the phone ordering a new stopper. Left our home and returned next day with new ($47) stopper. Replacing stopper took approximately 15 minutes. The total replacement cost was $272. The labor charge was $217. You might want to look elselsewhere for a plumber. read more

I closed on my townhome in February 2019, had Dunedin Plumbing install a new toilet up and down in March 2019. And Sunday at 8:30pm I heard dripping from the ceiling- I turned and the ceiling was opening. I immediately called Dunedin Plumbing and they said it was a higher cost on Sundays so they came and shut off the water and left. Monday Tyler from Dunedin Plumbing came back and said whoever did the remodeling on the upstairs bathroom screwed up so it wasn't their issue and then he charged me $105. for nothing. Note: the remodeling was done over a decade ago. Even though Dunedin Plumbing installed a toilet 6 months earlier, "it wasn't their error" Tyler said. Then he called a contractor immediately from Synergy Restoration and Rob showed up and told me it was 27,000 in damages. Rob then went through my home owners insurance and stopped, stating "your home owners insurance requires you to use their preferred vendors so our time is up". And just like that he left. As a first time home owner I was devastated and called my home owner insurance soon as they left. They sent over a rapid response team that day and another plumber to assess the damage and both said, "if Dunedin Plumbing installed it right you wouldn't of had this issue". They continued, "if the remodeling was done wrong they would have noticed 6 months ago, not now". They took pictures, did moisture measurements, and said I wasn't being told the truth. They told me I should get a refund of at least the 105.00 from dunedin. I have called 2x now and no return call. I will be sure to send this to my HOA who recommended me to use them. Totally took advantage of me! My pest control service was worried that my problem was due to a crack in my exhaust pipe. I told Dunefin Pluming this up front. I scheduled the pest service to do a smoke test to check the line with the Dunedin Plumbing present to do the repairs. The watched my pest man work for an hour doing the test, and did nothing not even help him. Charged me for an hour & then told me the had to book another hour and a camera fee to come back and check the pipe. They knew a camera was going to be needed but did not bring one. I was irritated that they wasted my time and money. But, OK. So the come back and video test another week later. But, take no video and can't tell me for sure if or where the problem is. Almost $1k. Useless. Zero help. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

The objective is to get someone in your driveway so they can charge you 135.00 for showing up and doing NOTHING. Last Friday, this is what happened to me. When I realized the scam, I called the owner and he LAUGHED at me. I was supposed to get the first 45 minutes for that price, but when he saw I needed a water Heater and he couldn't do anything, the rest of the time was spent HOUNDING me for the 135.00. The second star is because the technician was friendly. Hired them to replace a pressure reducing valve- Trip 1) $600 install valve Trip 2) $250 they dropped plastic in the pipe during install ruined my cartridge. Took zero responsibility Trip 3) $200 Valve squeals they cleaned the valve Trip 4) $200 Still squealing. Turns out they had the pressure setting wrong all along. Grand total $1,250. They don't stand by their work or honor any warranty. If the problems continues I will absolutely start fresh with a honorable company. read more

Less than six months ago, Dunedin Plumbing replaced my water heater, a process that involved a lot of back-and-forth with the electrician, the city, and permits--an ordeal I recognize may not be entirely their fault. The replacement was expensive. Fast forward to this weekend, when I discovered the heating element in my unit had failed. I contacted their on-call plumber and explained my dad diagnosed the issue. He suggested my dad replace the element himself, which felt absurd. This should be covered under warranty. When I called back to say my dad wouldn't be doing the repairs, the plumber promised to arrive between 10 and 10:30 AM the next day. By noon, I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out--only to be ignored. My dad then left a voicemail, to which the plumber stated he couldn't "waste his time explaining" why he was no longer coming. This plumber was unprofessional, and Dunedin Plumbing's services are not worth the price. I'm left with no hot water and a useless four-month-old water heater. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

My mother contacted Dunedin plumbing for a slow flushing toilet issue. They came out and snaked the problem toilet and washer, barely tested if toilet was flushing correctly. The employee did not wait to see if washer drained and finished up as quick as he could. After being charged 244.00, the next day, the bathroom he suppsingly fix was not flushing and then the main bathroom had slow flushing issues which wasn't a problem before he worked on the bedroom toilet. After calling them back, a different guy came came out and said he wouldn't charge her for equipment snake and fixed both main toilet and original bedroom toilet which she originally called about. She was then charged $322 for them to come back out and fix two toilets when one wasn't an issue in the first place and only started acting up after the first plumber came out for the bedroom toilet. She was charged a total of $566 dollars which is absolutely ridiculous when the original problem wasn't fixed and actually made things worse. She contacted Jim, the owner. And complained about how her situation was handled and he wouldn't remove any charges which is absolutely ridiculous. How do you justify charging someone for fixing a problem you created and didn't even fix the original issue? Completely unprofessional and we will never use this company again. read more

Our washer and dryer abruptly died and we had make a quick purchase. The day before my new washer and dryer were to be delivered I moved them back from the wall to disconnect and clean under them before my new ones were to be delivered; at this moment I realized the disconnect valves in my house were frozen. I called Dunedin Plumbing the night before the delivery and they happened to have an 8 a.m. slot available which would be sufficient time to do the repair before my new washer and dryer were to be delivered at 11 a.m. The day of repair, Cole showed up at 8 a.m. and replaced my valves. He was in and out in less than 45 minutes. He installed the new valves and left a spotless job site. Best of all, the work was completed well before the delivery of my new washer and dryer. I was charged a fair price with no hidden charges (fuel, COVID surcharges, etc). Dunedin Plumbing has done work for us before; always a fair price with quality work. I've been very impressed with Dunedin Plumbing. We were able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner to help us with a sewer backup. They arrived on time. Josh was very knowledgeable and explained the entire process. He ran a camera through the line to determine where there was an issue. He provided a flash drive of the video along along with a detailed summary of the issue and where the issue was located on the property. Dunedin Plumbing also filled out a Pinellas County form for us after the fact. This level of detail helped in applying for the rebate program offered through Pinellas County.
