There's always…read morelike 20 people working and every single person from the books to the kitchen staff is happy and cheerful and so kind. Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

My Xpost, as it should be seen imo…read more I was excited to try chubby dog coffee but unfortunately, I was shown some messages between the owner, Adam Rondeau, and a family member of mine that have deterred me from going, so much so that I have decided to actively refer others elsewhere. There are requests for feedback available on most platforms where people can leave comment on their experience and let others know of any issues encountered. For minor issues, businesses typically opt to rectify them so that customers that maybe didn't have a 5/5 experience might try again. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The owner, Adam Rondeau, decided to personally text my family member about her review where she mentioned being incorrectly charged for an item and call her "insane" for saying so on a review instead of reaching out to him as the owner first. In my experience, I have never heard that personally reaching out to the business's owner for an issue when there are feedback options available, especially as a first step, is the "correct" way to handle an issue. You let the customers know it happened to you in a review, and you move on. Clearly, if you have a negative experience at chubby dog, your best bet is to keep your mouth shut about it or the owner might personally text you and make you the bad guy for their mistake. If you were concerned on how a review of a mistake that was made at your cafe would have impacted your business, you absolutely made a bad moral decision by trying to bully the complainant after the fact. Who does that? The market is over saturated in coffee here, go anywhere else. Even if you might have a less than stellar experience elsewhere at least you probably won't be contacted by an owner saying that you were wrong for complaining.

The patty did not taste at all of beets) and fresh lettuce, purple cabbage, cucumber and carrot toppings with this melted slice of vegan cheddar on a crispy grilled patty. The Beta Burger had this beautiful grilled flavor to it. It was so good I actually purchased patties to take home. We also tried the vegan blt wrap. All fresh and good in its own right. I would definitely go back again especially for the Beta Burger.
