DUNK IN THE HOOD! I am kind of hooked on there iced coffee right now, so this new location opening up in my neighborhood is a sight for sore eyes. I order the iced coffee with no sugar and just a touch of cream and it tastes fantastic. Typically iced coffee can be icky without a bucket of sugar. I am really impressed at how good it is by itself. This location has been open for a few weeks now but it is not even on the Dunkin Donuts website nor did it even exist on Yelp. I finally decided to add it because if no one knows it is here then who is going to come here. Plus someone might have a donut emergency and this is the perfect location to cure it. I must say that this is one of the more comfy Dunkin Donuts I have ever seen. There are four nice leather chairs around a small table. A great place for a group to hang out and talk. There is one booth in here and also a bunch of stools that are facing the windows. The one thing that I love is that this location had the foresight to add in power outlets and they are all high near the tables. So this is great if you are looking to plug in your smart phone or laptop. There is also free wifi here too. Bonus! Dunkin Donuts is really doing it right to keep up with the times. So welcome to the neighborhood! I am sure that Big Shoulders Coffee, across the street, is not happy to see you but honestly I do not need a coffee with a timer...it really scares me! I am also sure the Gelato shop is not happy with your BR ice cream either. Don't worry about them because I am happy you are here. Just keep serving your delicious iced coffee and I will be a regular. I might have to sneak in a French Cruller every once in a while...that is my favorite donut here.

What's not to love? Glazed donut and an iced latte for under $5 - delicious and consistent.

Both were delish! The glazed donut was fluffy, sweet and my fave. My husband loved his old fashioned donut! He said it was crunchy yet moist. We also both got the Hot N' Spicy chicken sandwich which was so good!! Flavorful and spicy, with toppings that helped add some freshness to it. Pair it with a soft brioche bun, and this sandwich was heavenly! Def check this spot out for breakfast! One of the best places we tried while in Chicago!

Pulled up just before 6:30 AM on a weekday and there were just a few folks ahead of us in line, but service is quick. Cake donuts were actually pretty solid here; the Blueberry Cake Donut was the best item, super soft and moist with a good amount of berries throughout. The Pistachio Cake Donut for some reason was texturally firmer and drier than the other. Unfortunately, the fried donuts were all misses. The dough was just really dense and none of the toppings really hit. The Glazed Donut just made me sad that the dough was bad and the bacon on the Maple Bacon Donut wasn't crispy, so you got a cold, chewy, greasy bite that wasn't super pleasant. The chopped dough pieces in the Apple Fritter were also oddly firm instead of soft. For a place with rave reviews, I was pretty bummed by the donuts, but maybe the fried chicken sandwich is where it's at.

The buttermilk one particularly gave county fair funnel cake vibes and the lemon poppyseed one reminded me a lot of a lemon bar lol verrry lemon-y (in an indulgent-good way). Recommended some items to us and after hearing we were on a donut tour, even threw in a freebie. Only outdoor seating available, but the weather was perfectly lovely. Everything led up to (finally) some lovely, super soft fluffy fried donuts. Glazed Donut and Strawberry Glazed Donut were exactly the pillowy, yeasted texture I was looking for and the latter even had a little extra tartness from the strawberries, which you could tell was made from real fruit! The Lemon Poppyseed Cake Donut ended up being a banger as well; great balance between sweet and sour, not dry at all, and cross between crumbly and a melt in your mouth texture. The Apple Fritter was the only miss. Had an odd aftertaste that almost reminded me of curry powder and was texturally super hard, like bits of cardboard.

Tbh I remember being disappointed because of the hype. Today I entered with tempered expectations. I tried the Old Fashioned doughnut and it was somewhere between solid and above average. I'll definitely stick with Do-Rite especially because they're a few blocks away and significantly better. If the job catered Voodoo I'd indulge, but considering I prefer a few other donut shops I won't make a special trip. Great service plus a respectable donut equals 3.51 stars.

It also doesn't hurt that they are open from 6am to Midnight - perfect for those sudden doughnut cravings! One thing that can be improved is how they handle big orders. I recently ordered over 5 dozen doughnuts and it came in 6 boxes and a small bag. First problem: they don't deliver. Second and bigger problem is that they don't pack big orders so you can carry them out. How the heck am I going to carry 6 boxes and a bag of donuts??? Maybe they want to keep their business "small". A simple brown bag or even something to tie the boxes together would have been very helpful.

It's pretty small inside, with maybe no more than 10 tables. When I came there was a large party taking up majority of the dining room, leaving about 4 tables left. We didn't have reservations, but I believe they take them. Luckily we were seated right away without any issues. They are known for their Asian cuisine. Think Taiwanese fried chicken sandwiches, Japanese mochi donuts, ube, vietnamese coffee, etc. What I tried: - Mochi donuts (1 strawberry, 1 chocolate) ; so fresh! 10/10 - Strawberry/peach lemonade boba; Extremely sweet, but good! Staff was super kind from start to finish. The only downside (which is big) - it is pretty dirty around the restaurant. With all the white, you can unfortunately spot things quicker. However, it wasn't the cleanest but we were still willing to give it a try. When we arrived, the hostess/waitress asked if we had a reservation and I told her no but there were literally only 2 tables being occupied at the time, so she had us wait until she cleared another table. The menu gave a hibachi vibe, they had teriyaki bowls, unwich sushi rolls, soup, and specialty drinks but no fountain or canned drinks. I wanted the salmon and everyone else was getting chicken but that didn't happen because they were out of salmon. Really wasn't feeling the other options, so we canceled our order and left. I would definitely give the place another try but maybe earlier in the day and a different location.
