Well I've contemplated contacting corporate or ANYONE about this issue... NUMEROUS times, and I mean at least 75% of the time my order is WRONG. I come here about 5 times a week for coffee and 4/5 times my order is wrong. It's literally just coffee! One time I had to have the girl remake my coffee 3 times!! Multiple times I've been given a cold latte in a hot cup when I ordered a hot latte only to be told "I'm So sorry! I forgot to heat it!" How is that even possible?? This last time I came thru the drive thru, I paid for my order and the girl at the window just stared blankly at me for about 30 seconds. So I asked if my payment went thru and she jumped, stating "oh I'm so sorry... I was dozing off" So these employees who are falling asleep at the window and providing the wrong orders are expecting to get paid $20 AN HOUR?? The incompetence is unreal. The coffee here has gotten really bad. I'm not sure how you mess up coffee, but they do. I'm not sure if this Dunkin is under new ownership, but it hasn't been very good in a while now. I come here every Saturday morning and I get my coffee that tastes like ...I'm sorry dirt. I take it home and try to fix it up myself because I hate complaining . Horrible- absolutely horrible experience. I'm giving my money to mom and pop establishments as these franchises take your money and abuse you. I walked into this establishment on Sunday 3/6/22 at roughly around 9:45 am. Not one person working there acknowledged me when I walked in nor when I stood at the counter for several minutes. Although there were customers (4 total), holding receipts - standing in the lobby, none of the employees spoke to me nor looked in my direction. I actually had to say something first. I'd asked "is it drive through only?" followed by "you should acknowledge your customers"... there were no signs of them being short staffed as I seen plenty of staff chatting, and moving around. Well a couple more minutes passed - no service, no apology. I walked out empty handed. Considering the climate of businesses closing left and right. Whoever the staff was on Saturday, October 7th, you ROCK! The lady who was taking orders was very nice and attentive. And the man who gave me my clfood was so incredibly nice. Usually I wouldn't leave a review but the stuff today was so great! A man gave me my food and donuts and I was waiting on my coffee and then another lady gave me my drink and asked if I had already gotten everything else. I was on a mission to find a chocolate cream-filled doughnut, the same one I craved years ago as a college student in Eugene, Ore. I went in to two Dunkin Donuts last year in Baltimore and neither store carried them. Hmm. Made me wonder if they had gotten rid of them. I was happy to see they were alive and well in Laguna Hills. Why go here and get ignored, get your basic order screwed up, and watch, as a half dozen employees take 13 minutes to give you a coffee and donut in the drive-through with only 2 cars (and one customer in the dining room) m? I've been a regular at this Dunkin for a few years now, and I definitely agree that the service has slowly been getting worse and worse. Today I went through the drive through and ordered my usual latte, but when I got it I noticed it was very light and milky and seemed like the espresso shots pulled a little short or maybe just weren't callibrated. I went inside and asked if they could add an extra shot since I couldn't really taste any coffee and it kinda just tasted like flavored milk. An older woman, I think the manager, told me it would be 99 cents. I politely tried to explain that the reason I wanted to add it was because it didn't taste correct and I wanted to see if they could fix it for me. She then rudely told me that I ordered a latte, and that the base of the drink is milk. I explained that I myself work at a coffee chain and know what a latte is, but that the issue is the espresso shots didn't taste correct and that my drink was just way milkier than it usually is. She continued to argue with me and just say that's how the drink is made and didn't offer to fix it unless I paid. As someone who works at a large coffee chain, I understand that sometimes it's the fault of the machine that causes the shots to not pour correctly and often make the drink milkier. In situations like this I always offer to add an extra shot or remake a customers drink, because if they paid for it I obviously want to make sure they are at least getting a drink that they can enjoy. I was just shocked that the woman was so quick to argue with me and tell me that I was just in the wrong. I came in to redeem my T-Mobile Tuesday's free medium latte (gotta love free stuff), and ordered the iced caramel with almond milk sub. Almond milk sub isn't included so only paid $.54 which is nothing. I had to wait about 5 mins to order and another 5 to get my drink, but they were understaffed so I understood the wait. I had DD mix it up for me since I have not had them in so long. My fav was the jelly filled munchkin, next was the powdered, then the blueberry, and glaze. I will load up on the jelly ones now that I know and knowing is half the battle LOL I think this one has a cronut also but it may have ran out when I got there. Any donuts with icing is good. That's about it for now, gotta sign up for a DD card! BTW ... I love people that complain about their chicken sandwich at DD... Never been to a Dunkin' Donuts before so when I heard they were coming to OC, I was excited to check them out. I was in the area for a meeting and just so happened to remember they had just recently opened so I stopped by. Since it had just happened, there was quite a line at the drive thru and inside. Not wanting to waste the gas, I decided to walk in and check out the sample table that was set up outside. win/win. While sampling a few donuts, I won a $5 coupon which then took care of my purchase inside. Customer service was friendly, staff was being well trained, and lines were being expedited quickly - probably more so than the drive thru. My coupon paid for an iced latte and 2 donuts that I really wanted to try. All items were delicious. I used to love their iced coffee and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I was wary about visiting because of all the bad reviews on Yelp, especially since this is nowhere near me. The favorite for my better half was the Old Fashioned Sour Cream which was nicely balanced and had just the right amount of glaze on it. The Powdered Sugar Jelly Filled had a combination of powdered and fine granule sugar on top with her complaint being there wasn't enough sugar on top. There was a decent amount of filling and donut had the right amount of airiness. The Blueberry Cake was the fail of the bunch. My lovely wife noted a lack of blueberry flavoring in this donut and the blueberry flavoring itself tasted artificial. The slight crunch layer on the outside of the donut was missing and the glaze on the donut was insufficient compared to other donut shops. For me the winner was the Chocolate Dipped French Cruller. The donut had a good chocolate glaze, with a nice crisp outside and a light and airy inside. The cruller tasted fresh and was consumed in a few short bites. I thought the Gingerbread Crumb was going to be another winner ... I love chocolate and I love gingerbread ... this should be a win-win! Rohlinism: Being awesome separately doesn't guarantee being awesome together! Think peanut butter and garlic if you don't believe me ... The gingerbread and chocolate meshed better than the combination above, but it was sort of a letdown because the flavors combated rather than complimented each other. The donut itself had a freshness to it and the cake was moist, but the combative flavors disagreed with my palate. Been coming here for a couple of years as my nine-year-old daughter likes the chocolate donuts on Saturdays. The service here is really spotty and often rude. The manager is nice enough but doesn't really train or hire good team members. Today I drove 20 minutes, picked up my daughter's order and discovered upon arriving home that is was wrong again. Drove back and walked in, the guy behind the counter just stared at me with a condescending smirk on his face. Didn't ask if he could help, just stared. I told him order was wrong and he laughed. I asked to speak with the manager and she made excuses for him that he couldn't hear with the headset. Their donuts aren't my favorite-similar category to Krispy Kreme (I guess everyone has their own preferences, like any dessert goodie). But basing the review solely on price/value/taste: Ordered (3) 6 piece Hash Browns for $3.06 -Hash-browns were so soft and had no crunch to them (1) 25 Munchkin Donut Holes for $7.20 -Weirdly this product is super cake like not like their donuts. I prefer more cake...no problem with these (1) Bagel with Cream Cheese for $2.79 -Lackluster bagel, just slap a grocery type Thomas Bagel with cream cheese, and there you go. (1) Hot Coffee Medium for $2.29 -It's always super sweet and the coffee is light. (1) Breakfast Bacon Wrap for $2.29 -This was a pressed tortilla/wrap with bacon, Velveta Cheese, and Egg. The taste had a presence of burnt cookie sheet, or something metallic, or maybe it was the essence of the microwave they used to heat it up? For a total of $18.04, I was super saddened by my wasted money. I will have to hang up my hat and say that I gave it a good effort to like this cult crazed Donut shop. read more
