I've always been a fan of Dunkin' Donuts and especially a sucker for their regular cinnamon doughnut. There just something about that crispy fried dough coated with the perfect amount of natural cinnamon and sugar that makes every bite a special treat. Along with the doughnut, I also had the a mini breakfast wrap with ham, and a small drip coffee with a touch of milk. The cinnamon doughnut was fantastic and one of my favorites from this place. The cinnamon flavor was great and the doughnut was perfectly moist and great for dipping in my coffee. The mini breakfast wrap was okay and well priced at the a $1.49. It was simple: one egg, a slice of ham, and a slice of cheese nestled in one folded flour tortilla.The egg was cooked all the way through and was not seasoned, so I took some black pepper and salt to it and that helped with the over all flavor of the wrap. The ham was typical and the cheese American. In the end, it was not bad for $1.49. The drip coffee was pretty good. Not the best I have had but good and a touch of milk and a natural sugar helped it out. Service was really good at the counter. The girl who took my order was Mary Joy A. and she was, in addition to being efficient, a sweetheart. I can tell that management has spent a significant amount of time training the staff. A draw back for this location is that the parking lot is small and can become very tight, especially when the drive thru is backed up. Not the best location for such a busy place. read more

I am super disappointed. My order was pathetic. I ordered a 12 dozen of donuts, a coffee cake muffin, a strawberry pomegranate refresher, bacon in a bag, and mini hash browns. First off, the order took an hour to make and all the food came cold. The donuts came to me stale, hard as a rock, and they all tasted of sand and was flavorless. Thankfully Uber refunded me for those. The coffee cake muffin was actually blueberry and it had silver glitter in it. The strawberry pomegranate refresher was actually pretty good along with the bacon in a bag. The drink never came with a straw. I remember having Dunkin' Donuts for the first time when I was in High School and we had a field trip to the East Coast and our Choir teacher was raving about Dunkin' Donuts. I fell in love with it and I was so bummed that for a long time they didn't have a location in California (except for Camp Pendleton). I almost died when they opened the DD's downtown a few years ago. My favorite thing to get here is their Bavarian Creme Donut. It's a nice puffy donut with a yummy creme inside that tastes like vanilla pudding. I got my donut with a French Vanilla Iced Cappuccino. It was a nice little afternoon snack. I'm not sure what's going on with the staffing of this place, but these kids are the rudest rotation in a while. The drinks are different every time and their customer service SUCKS. I went in and asked for a drink Ive been getting for years from when I worked there in 2016 and they just said it didn't exist and they've never had it. Two days later my boyfriend went and got that same drink. Today I went it and asked for a large refresher and was just told they don't do large sizes. I split my time between San Diego and New England and, after two visits, I can definitively say this location is unfortunately NOT up to par with Dunkin' Donuts locations on the east coast and in the midwest. My biggest problem is that the drive-thru wait is comically long. The average Dunkin' Donuts in the Boston metro area can handle a line of a dozen cars in about 5 minutes. They operate efficiently out of necessity, because native New Englanders like me lack the patience for waiting in drive-thru lines for any longer than a minute or two. (Don't get me started on In-N-Out, which is anything but.) Here, in National City, it takes 10-15 minutes for this Dunkin' Donuts to service just 3 cars. Just as disappointing, the coffee isn't the same. It is bitter, both going down and in leaving an unpleasant tinny after-taste. I wanted this location to be at least somewhat like the others, because I often get a hankering for Dunkin' Donuts coffee when I'm stuck here in San Diego amidst fancy coffee that doesn't satisfy my base, low-brow needs, but be warned that you'll wait in a line for an unnecessarily long time for an inferior product. Came here yesterday for the first time with my friend and I enjoyed some donuts.... friend even had to get a dozen to go for their family members. My Vanilla Americano was on point and I must say it was some of the best coffee that I've had. Not too expensive, the small was $2.49. There is a variety with regards to milk and cream and a variety of flavored syrups which include blueberry and coconut . You can even make a swirl with your flavored coffee. The Boston Cream donut tasted delicious, fresh and better than local chains. It wasn't busy so parking was not an issue however I could see if it's packed then such a tight space one would have to park on the street. And they have a drive through!!! I've never had Dunkin' Donuts before and heard so much hype from my mid west friends. Glad to see this chain venture west. Although there's only a couple of these in San Diego, we had the opportunity to try them out today. The huge sign off the freeway is hard to miss. We ordered a few munchkins( donut holes) They come in denominations of five so naturally we ordered 10. We tried the chocolate donut, vanilla cream, maple donut, and the chocolate with sprinkles. They are nice and fluffy and filled with just the right amount of sugar and carbs that will make you want to hit the gym an extra time during the week. I love their glazed munchkin donut holes! But sadly, two out of the three times I've driven down here to get some, they ran out. The first time, I ordered glazed munchkins only to get to the drive thru window and be told that they didn't have any and could give me 4 Cinnamon and the rest chocolate :( I was so bummed, I'm not a cinnamon and chocolate donut hole fan so I left empty handed. I waited to write this review until after I had visited a few times. I had come here twice during opening week and decided after the horrible experiences to try it again after the hype had died down a little. I'll start off by saying the first time I came I was in the drive thru for over an hour and a half. All I had wanted was iced coffee and I when I finally ordered they took my order wrong and I had to tell the employees 4 times that it was wrong before they finally made it right. Well, sort of right. It still wasn't what I wanted but I'd been there long enough. The second visit was drive thru again. My order was wrong again. There had been a person taking orders at the drive thru and also orders were taken through the speaker to hurry the line through. This helped as I was there about 45 minutes but the gentlemen who took my order and I repeated it to him 3 times still got it wrong. The next few times were okay. I've learned to no longer go through the drive thru and to only go inside. The line moves much faster and my order has not been wrong when I've gone inside. The problem I have is that the last few times when I've tried ordering food items they are out of almost everything I want. I've tried ordering a plain bagel, an everything bagel, munchkins and they are usually out of everything I've wanted. They need to plan better and try to keep up with demand better. The staff seems to be friendly but for the most part they walk around like they are very confused and have no clue what they should be doing. I think more training is needed here. The reason I am still giving this Dunkin' Donuts 3 starts and not 2 is that I really do like their coffee. The coffee does not have a bitter taste to it like a lot of other coffee has, so I do enjoy it. Also, the coffee prices are fairly reasonable. read more

I always order mobile order to pick up through drive thru, sometimes I get out of car and pick it up when I get there and see drive thru line is really long. Today I waited over 20 minutes in drive thru lane and ended up getting wrong drink even though the sticker receipt on cup said what drink it was I ordered. I ordered chai latte and got hot chocolate, wth. I was so upset I didnt want to drive back and wait some more. This is a LONG overdue review as I've been munching on their donuts for years. I've always had it from LA and the Philippines so when this location opened up I was supah happy. Where to even start! My favorite donut to order here is the ($1.29) regular donut w/strawberry icing. A close second would be the chocolate donut with glaze. Both so good and not too sweet. Half a dozen will run you about $6-7 while a whole dozen is $12. I prefer Dunkin Donuts over Krispy Kreme (sorry to the KK fans) just because personally to me it's not as sweet. But that doesn't mean I don't like KK, I just find it too sweet for me. A big plus for me about Dunkin Donuts are their variety of donut holes or "munchkins." They offer: the classic glaze, chocolate glaze, blueberry, & Bavarian powdered. In all honesty tho, the freshness of the donut and how moist it is is a hit or miss at THIS particular location. I assume it to be because they're open 24hrs, but nevertheless it's almost always soft and moist. Bottom line: I'd recommend this place for ppl to try out.
