Good service but inside is filthy. Overflowing trash, barely any where to sit. As well as crumbs all over tables.

Love it. Great coffee, quick service. Donuts not quite as good as KK, but their frozen drinks and sandwiches make up for it.

Not as good as the one's in New England but close enough - feeds the craving for some good donuts and tea!

Highly recommend them; coffee is expensive to begin with no one wants to pay for bad coffee. I go to the one at 6700 North Davis Hwy. My baby peanut is also a fan of their pup cup. And they are pet-friendly; no one wants to leave their beloved pet in the car in this heat. I live an hour away, and every time I go to Pensacola, which is a lot, this is my first stop

Alex on the other hand is the reason for this review. We ordered one coffee black and the other with cream on the side. When I opened the cup and saw how much room was left in the cup I assumed that was the one with the room for cream. When my partner opened her cup there was cream in hers so she went back up to see if she could get a black one like she ordered. He was very rude saying he didn't take the order and was just trying to see what the problem was and I'll remake it angrily. When my partner thanked him as he handed her the new cup he gave her a dirty look and just turned around and walked away. Maybe he's having a bad morning but it wasn't a good first impression sadly because the place is so cute and we really liked the selection.

I've gone through the drive thru twice now and had a friendly and consistent experience. I ordered…read morean iced hazelnut latte w oat milk both times and it hasn't let me down! Recently I tried a bacon breakfast bagel w a side of chipotle sauce . Absolutely delicious, they did not skimp out on the bacon and it was thick too! It was also nice seeing them interact with their regulars--it definitely feels like a neighborhood coffee shop with a loyal following. I ordered the Poe Iced along with a slice of the carrot coffee cake. The coffee cake was outstanding--rich, moist, with fantastic icing, and tasted like a quality homemade dessert. The Poe Iced was good, but it wasn't quite as complex or memorable as I expected from a coffee house with such a strong reputation. In hindsight, I probably should have tried one of their seasonal specialties instead of sticking with a classic drink. My only real complaint is the drive-thru, which was a bit awkward to get into, so I ended up parking and walking inside. Thankfully, the welcoming atmosphere more than made up for that inconvenience. Will I be back? Absolutely. One thing I've learned about independent coffee shops is that they're always worth a second visit. Sometimes it takes trying a different drink to really appreciate what makes them special. While Drowsy Poet didn't quite blow me away on my first visit like a few other coffee houses have, it's still a very good café and easily a step above the typical chain options like Starbucks, Dutch Bros, or 7 Brew.

Definitely new since I left home. I was interested. Ambiance was wonderful. A good amount of seating with each sitting spot feelings mildly secluded, which is nice. No one wants their coffee shop gossip being overheard. And when you walk in, you're first greeted with that classic glass case of available pastries and goodies. It was hard to not just order one of each item. Service was nice. It was counter service, and they bring your order right to your table. Can't ask for better service than that. Nice folks, good small talk. And the food, it was delightful. We got a couple of fancy coffee drinks, which were well-flavored, not too sweet, and the iced one was presented in a mason jar. Classic. We also shared like four food items. The pull-apart monkey bread was sweet and dense and delicious. Don't order this if you're alone. You'll need help to finish it. Got a creme filled pull pastry thing. That was nice. Flakes for days. This was no rough puff. For the chocolate croissant, also known as a pain au chocolat. Again, very flakey, very buttery, the perfect touch of sweet chocolate. And a savory, massive scone. Bacon and chives, I think. Also very good. Crumbly. Overall, I was very surprised. There certainly wasn't anywhere like this in Pensacola when I lived here. This place is a quality bakery that could easily be found in a medium-sized city. I was so pleased and will definitely come back.

Very nice. And the pastries themselves were very high quality. Flakey, not dry, well filled, of a good size. Definitely a high point. Cons: No real cons. I didn't have enough stomach space to try everything I wanted. Lol. Tips: The chocolate croissant and the creme filled thing we got were delicious. The scone was also good, but maybe less good than other things we left on the table. Need to come back here!

Brilliant concept for the Java lovers and liquor imbibers alike…read more The interior is luxe by Pensacola standards. Large overstuffed pin cushion leather sofas. Coffered ceilings. Exposed, real old brick that's from god knows when. Lots of copper old fashion coffee roasters. Bespoke bar. I dig the vibe and haven't even tried the patio yet. The Irish latte was delish. The whipped baileys cream on top delightful. My husband had the French 75 which was mildly citrus in such a pleasant way. Zero burn or bitterness for a straight black coffee beverage which impressed me! We had an omelette and the blueberry muffin. Omelette was tasty, fresh, hot and had ample cheese and ham. I liked the Dijon topped on. The muffin was really extra. It was large and it was covered in coffee cake sugar kind of crumble. Really big, generous serving of blueberries. It was super moist. Hate to add to the hype of this place because I admit, theres already a line out the door, but I only just recently discovered it after being here nearly a year. It's a wonderful Find and I'm already planning to make it one of my regular stops.
