Drove 15 miles out of the way specifically because I was craving Dunkin. Was so excited to see that there was one in Walnut Creek. My order was simple - a hazelnut iced coffee with cream and sugar. It was BY FAR THE WORST cup of coffee I have ever had. I stop by a Dunkin' whenever I'm near one and it's always been consistent. I am not the kind of person who speaks up and sends things back at restaurants but I said something this time. The staff was very kind and attentive and asked me how I would like it made differently. Its literally just an iced coffee so I had no idea what to say. We tried adding more cream and sugar but the coffee itself was so bad there was no saving it. I felt like I was being rude (and getting nowhere) so I politely thanked the employee for his help, left the store, and immediately tossed the coffee. Walnut Creek Dunkin' how in the world are you making this coffee?!?! A cup of home brewed Folgers would have been 10x better. read more

Anyone who leaves a 1 or 2 star is bitter and doesn't understand that new establishments aren't perfect. The manager was awesome he was friendly to everyone even though he had to tell the line of 30 people they were closing soon and he was still nice even after pain in the ass customers were giving him a hard time he did his best to help them out. They were supposed to close at 8 but he stayed open till 9 and everyone in line got something. They didn't have a large selection but HELLO they were busy as hell. Let's all chill out and give these people who are working their asses off a break and enjoy the food. If you feel like giving them are hard time when you go try waiting till it dies down a little in a few weeks. read more

We came here from San Mateo when we learned it was their Grand Opening. We lined up for 2 hours under the sun but it was worth it, along w/ big/huge crowd also.. It was windy though but very hot.. When we reached the counter, we ordered 2 dozens of Classic Donuts and 50 pieces of Munchkins. It was very affordable for 10.99 a dozen and about $6+ for the munchkins.. I saw the receipt says $9.99 for 2 dozen + the munchkins so I was kinda confused why they charged us cheap when we ordered tons.. So i questioned the Manager there coz we wanted to pay for the difference. But upon talking to the nice lady manager and the Guy Manager also, they checked and told their crew that a mistake happened and it MIGHT happen again or might have happened prior our order and they could have loss a lot of profits on its opening day.. Due to our honesty, the Manager did not ask us to pay for the difference since it wasn't our fault and they acknowledged and were grateful to us for being honest, they gave the extra dozen donuts we ordered FREE... Now, when it comes to Donuts, it was delicious but the Old Dunkin Donuts Kick we had when we were young was not there.. Looks like every branch or franchise change their ingredients.. I was super excited to try out this place.since I had heard that the doughnuts were the bomb. Yet they just felt okay. They do have a large variety of doughnuts and I liked that. I felt like I was rushed when placing my order and I did not like that at all. I also ordered a Iced Macchiato. when I was driving back to work I took a sip and it had NO SUGAR AT ALL . Dunkin Donuts has in my opinion the best black coffee. The roast is delicious and I've never had a burnt cup of joe like I've had with their famous competition. Dunkin Donuts is more consistent in flavor but the cream and sugar aspect needs work. Sometimes I receive my coffee and its way too sweet or not sweet enough. Make sure to sign up for their app too. In the app you can purchase drinks, order ahead and receive free birthday drinks and promos. This location can be very busy so ordering ahead is key if you're in a hurry. The average cup of large black coffee with cream and sugar (20 ounces I believe) costs around $2.40. Donuts are very reasonably priced too. I'm excited for Dunkin' Donuts to expand to more Bay Area locations. Based upon the line at this location, looks like other people might be excited as well. This location also does catering and has seasonal flavors, syrups and Donuts. I am hopeful that they will get some healthy foods and treats soon read more

I stopped by in the early afternoon. Once an employee felt like waiting on me, I ordered a medium hot decaf. Then waited a surprisingly long time for it to be prepared. I took the first sip just before leaving the parking lot, about 30 seconds after it had been poured. It was barely lukewarm. From the time I drove into the parking lot, until the time I left it, they had no other customer in the store. No one. Yet, they could barely properly handle one customer, one cup of hot coffee. It wasn't even a good cup of coffee. So sorry I had taken the time to stop here. A more fitting name for this place would be Apathy. read more

I like the parking and clean environment. Also the seating area is nice. We bought a half dozen donuts of assorted types. I had the chocolate chocolate and the apple fritter. The taste of the donuts were ok. We had them at 6pm so perhaps the would've tasted better in the early morning. They weren't that sweet and the donuts seemed small to me. The new dunken donuts is a great little place, the design is nice and enough seating to feel like a coffee shop, good food and pleasant staff. The owner hangs around and is a really nice guy. If he is working the cashier he goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience. Restrooms are clean and when its sunny they have great seating outside as well. Good news: munchkins are on sale. Bad news: they are always out of most of them, especially those that are their top sellers. They often run out early in the day. Day after day after day. They cannot seem to understand that they need to make more. I don't think they care. Then there's the customer service. It can be very good and it can be very bad. It's almost always full of apathy. The reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because of the manager there. If its not because of him, i don't think i can give any stars. I live close by, so i come here most of the time to get donuts. I always feel welcome and all, but this time, i wasn't. My cashier was Deidre L. Not sure if its her name, i was just looking at the receipt that i had now, i didn't look at her badge. She wasn't paying attention to me, and what I'm ordering. She kept on looking at her left side.. not sure whats so interesting bout that area. She didn't say hello or if shes ready to take my order. She was just looking at me on the line. But oh well.. anyway, she was about to charge me 4 more donuts tho i only ordered half a dozen. I told her that, but she only deleted 3 xtra donuts. So theres one more, then i told the manager, and the manager apologize and refunded it. Anyway, i told the girl, i would like to get half a dozen, but because she wasn't paying attention, she was putting my donuts in a paper bag ‍. Until i repeated myself to her, she realized it and got a box and dump it in there while looking at her left side again. Then i was telling her i would like to try that new pretzel croissant "sandwich" and she was just giving me the bread. ‍ idk what to react tbh. When I'm done ordering.. i sat and the nice manager was offering us samples. He is very nice and humble. I even see him cleaning all areas of the store, he's helping refill the donuts and the kitchen.. its very nice to see a manager help his team. I don't see that all the time, thats why I'm this amaze. Inside is modern and clean, but the donuts here just aren't very good. Normally I'm totally OK with chains, but I really think that the local donut shops in the area serve donuts which are far and away better than what you get at Dunkin Donuts - Allstar Donuts and Johnny's Donuts in particular. I drink black coffee, but they have fancy coffee drinks and it's all in the same line. So I have to wait five minutes for them to make caramel macchiatos for the people ahead of me. Generally speaking getting a donut and coffee should take 12 seconds, and it takes five minutes here. Cream and sugar isn't available to customers, only the staff is trusted with them. read more

Okay, here's Part II of my review of Dunkin Donuts. Finally, after waiting patiently for one month for the huge crowd to disperse, I was able to finally step foot inside the establishment without any long lines. I decided to try the Apple 'N Spice, Strawberry Jelly, Lemon Jelly, French Crullers, Strawberry Glaze, and Blueberry Donuts. I love the Apple 'N Spice and the Strawberry Jelly; the only complaint I have with those is that there's not really much filling inside the donuts. I'll admit when I was in the East Coast, they were a little more generous with the filling. Maybe it's a California thing about us being such health nuts; I don't know. The French Crullers, provided that you get them fresh, are really good. Personally, I like donuts that are on the soft eggy side (cooked, of course) than the cake tasting donuts, which comes out a little dry sometimes. Those are the pluses from my perspective anyway. The minuses were the lemon jelly, the blueberry, and the strawberry glaze. The lemon jelly tasted a little too sweet for something that is supposed to be tart. There was more sweet than sour in the lemon jelly; pretty obvious that it was artificial lemon filling. The blueberry donut tasted a bit dry to me, which is a thumbs down for me. Last, but not least, the strawberry glaze was a little too sweet for me. Depending on what kind of donut you purchase, it's either a plus or a minus. Personally, I don't like donuts on the dry side. I like soft and moist donuts, or eggy ones, but that's a personal preference for me. My advice is, try it out and see. Sometimes you have to try more than one donut in order to determine whether it's good or bad. Otherwise, I'd say it's pretty good. :) read more

Not that Dunkin' needs any reviews but here's one anyway. I was looking for a specific kind of donut - soft dough/bread with non-crackly chocolate that doesn't taste fake-sweet. Do I sound crazy, I think I sound crazy. I ordered a pack of six, the first donut I had was 'Chocolate Sprinkles' and it was perfect! Totally worth the 10-mile drive. Yay! read more

As an east coaster, I was excited to finally find a Dunkin Donuts in this area! The experience was similar to how I remember it being back home, which is great. The donuts were super fresh and great tasting. Their caramel iced latte was super but their sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant tasted a bit different. I think it was the sausage or the croissant that did it for me but it was still tasty nonetheless. My family and I will definitely be going here again! read more

it was DELICIOUS! just like i remembered it! even after having the incredible coffee that's available to us in this modern day and age, dunkin donut's coffee is still good. i admit, i was surprised. i had a jelly doughnut. it was soft and fresh. the jelly tasted good. i also had a couple other doughnuts and they were wonderful. i went on the opening day and am looking forward to stopping in when it's not such a zoo. they also didn't have all their doughnuts available so i'm looking forward to the full doughnut selection as well. i sure hope we get some more dunkin doughnuts in the east bay. read more

I am never going back to that location! We were so excited when we got there last Saturday, June 25th, around 6ish pm. There were probably 5 people waiting outside so we said oh good the line is not that long. As soon as we made it close to the door there was an older white guy standing by the door and he said rudely to us just leave because the wait is two hours. He said they're at capacity. I said I see people leaving after buying and paying so why aren't you letting people in. We drove almost an hour just to get there. He said I don't have to explain myself! I said back to him thank you very much, we are not coming back here! He could've said it in a nicer way towards their customers but no, he was so rude! read more
