Absolutely incredible!! It was my first time at a tasting menu and the fourth time for my parents…read more-- we all loved it! They're a farm to table restaurant so they have a small farm in the back and use local fishermen, beekeepers, and farmers for the majority of their food. The inside portion of the restaurant is in a converted green house and you look out over the Potomac River and the bridge that connects MD and VA along 15. They also have outdoor seating and a gazebo with one table (for an additional price). Sometimes restaurants with tasting menus pack you in and have low lighting but this place had the tables spread out and it was bright and airy inside with lots of plants and decor along the walls. The tasting menu is 9 courses in total but our waiter brought several surprise mid course tastings like a sourdough milk bread and tempura oysters. They change the menu every 6-8 weeks to reflect what is fresh at the moment and supplement with pickled vegetables. I loved everything I ate but my dad didn't care for the abundance of fish that's currently being served. The waiters are so coordinated and excellent at providing an explanation for each course. It was paced perfectly, where we weren't rushed between each course but also weren't waiting around forever. Just a note: they're business casual, but the driveway up to the restaurant is gravel and the parking lot is also gravel, so swap your stilettos for wedges or flats!

But the restaurant did not act annoyed at all. Thank you. We were seated outside with views of Potomac River. Located on a farm, this was one of the first certified organic farms in Virginia. The menu: Welcome Basket-Beautiful presentation and a great way to start the meal Tuna Watermelon (Banana Peppers, Purslane, Mint Dashi) Crab Caramelle (English Peas, Aleppo, Egg Yolk) Yaki Porgy (Summer Squash, Heirloom Tomato, Nasturtium) Bison (Wax Beans, Wagyu Tongue, Blueberries) Cucumber (Cantaloupe, Cream) Peaches & Corn (Corn Ice Cream, Peach Bavarian, Corn Cake) Sweet Treats (assorted candies) *added bonus, zucchini bread to take home! Everything was delicious. Fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients. Every dish was a joy to taste. Service was excellent and I am so glad our server inquired whether we wanted our picture taken. I had forgotten! He led us to a beautiful spot for some pictures. A lovely, memorable evening. I highly recommend.

The parking lot is huge and wraps around the side of the large barn-like building. There is plenty of covered outdoor seating in the front and sides of the exterior. There is even a children play area connected to the parking lot on the side of the building with a playground. Inside was quite small compared to the outside, the line inside was moving pretty quickly. They offer a selection of shakes, cones, toppings, and even no sugar added flavors. I will definitely be back to try more flavors!

Pretty cool spot for ice cream / dessert in MD…read more Came here following hike at Sugarloaf Mt and then Big Belly which is a minute drive down the road, with fam and dog. I initially wanted to get a sundae, but I hesitated as we didn't do much in terms of hike. So not enough calories burned. Instead I gotta cup of double scoop, Bubble Gum + Mint Chocolate Chip. Others got Coffee ice cream in cup, then Coconut and Mango Sorbet in cone, and Pup Cup for our dog. Apparently Sorbet was too sweet and it's better in cup than cone. Don't shoot the messenger, goes without saying. Everything was good and I liked my BG and Mint CC flavors. Though it was a guilty pleasure but it is what it is. They do have generous benches outside for seating. Our dog enjoyed the pup cup also. All in all, we would rate this 4/5 for the ice cream. Enjoyed it, and hope to be back if we're in the area again.

Service was prompt and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the signature reds flight and then sampled 3 more red wines - all were delicious but the 2019 vintages were truly great. For lunch we split the burrata app and short rib main. I wish the burrata came with bread instead of just granola on top. The short rib was absolutely delicious! The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review is that the interior and exterior areas could really use a little update to create a nicer ambiance. We did love the fireplace though!

Celebrating our friend's bday we were delightfully surprised when they came out with complimentary glasses of cava to celebrate ! Those glasses of cava were delicious! I wish we could have ordered a bottle! Some of us tried the tasting-- and they gave us time to relax in between tastings and ordering food. None of the wines were very note worthy to me or the rest of my group, but I give this winery 4 stars because the food was just so delicious and reasonably priced as well! So bring your jacket, sunnies and have food and some sips of wine!
