We stopped in to grab a to-go order for dinner. Ordered: 3 Birria tacos with rice and beans combo, 3 Birria tacos, one fish taco and one plain cheese quesadilla. Birria tacos were delicious and even had some crunch to the outer part of the tortilla. Even as wonderfully greasy, cheesy and moist as they were, the tortillas held up very well to be dipped in the consume. Rice and beans had some flavor, which made them tasty add ons. Fish taco was delicious. Not too much batter like other places, but still crunchy. The crema and pico on top were both excellent. Pico had the perfect spice to it and was hotter than their red salsa. I personally liked the fish taco better than the birria, but that's just my opinion. The cheese quesadilla had the right amount of cheese and was cooked just right. They have little vending machine type things off to the side. You can buy stickers and various toys for the kids, so bring a handful of quarters to keep the little ones occupied. We used to go to another chain of "taco shops" that are franchises all over Vegas. After seeing their fair menu prices and the quality of their food, Durango Taco Shop is our new spot for some delicious, fast Mexican food. read more

I used to live about 400 yards from this place. I love queso birria tacos, but these are SO greasy. I get that they're fried tacos, but very little effort was put into the mouthfeel and taste. But there is no crunch at all. Just basically mush. It really feels like a jump on the bandwagon. I'm sure they have other great menu items but there are a bunch of birria tacos in town that are much better. The service is really fast. But the restaurant is very basic. Came in to Durango because Thailicious was busier than what my patience was willing to accept (first world problems but all relative nonetheless). Upon entry noticed that there was a free churro if you showed them your review on Facebook, Google and Yelp. When I asked them how that worked I was told all I had to do was show them my "5 Star" review. Oh no! Should've been my first clue. Ordered the Carne Asada taco combo. Filled my drink with Coca-Cola and it tasted like all the flavors in the soda fountain combined. Ugh! Waited 28 minutes for my order and I was growing hungrier by the minute (again, first world problems). Received my order and dug right in to the chips and beans. This is where the two stars is awarded instead of one. It's chips and beans. The four carne asada tacos were extremely dry and the meat was definitely not cooked to order. I'm sure the meat was cooked prior and stored in a hotel pan from earlier in the day. I was able to get down one and a half of the tacos. Never thought I would throw away tacos but today was the day. Salsa bar had only old ice water left with no salsa or escabeche. No joke, I went to Taco Bell up the street for 3 taco supremes... they weren't dry. Absolutely never coming here again! On a quick lunch break, thought to myself to order 1 singular burrito. Nothing fancy just beans and cheese. Ordered it, they raised their prices due to inflation, but are lying to their customers as the website consistently has the under inflated price. On top of that they were begging for tips at the counter. Multiple signs are posted saying tips appreciated. It's one thing to tip for good service but my god I wish I could have just left and gotten a refund. It took them 15 MINUTES FOR ONE BURRITO. The woman at the counter gave me a dirty look when the tip screen came up, so ofc I tipped the customary amount on the screen. What I didn't expect to happen was watch multiple people come in order and leave with plenty of more food than me, while I sit and wait for 1 BURRITO. I sat and waited and waited and waited until finally, I asked the woman where my order was. She looked at me confused as if she'd never seen me in life, mind you I was sitting at a table looking inside the shop for the entire time, and she gasped and said OH! She proceeded to go back into the kitchen to clearly start telling the cook to make my burrito as if they forgot. What a joke of an establishment. I thought I'd give them a try from my regular Roberto's, but after this ordeal I won't be ordering from here again. In terms of food: I only ordered the bean rice and cheese burrito. The website would have made me believe that my order would have been maybe 4.50-4.75 which is perfectly fine for fast casual Mexican food. Incorrect, after paying for the food, tax, and the unnecessary tip, my order was 6 dollars. Rather than complain about the price, it's more about the principle. If you can change the price in your stores to match the reflected uptick in inflation, why is is so hard to update the online prices. The actual burrito was nothing out of the ordinary. I won't lie and say it was bad, but it's no different than any of your fast casual Mexican shops in the town. Their hot sauce station was like any other and the taste was average. In conclusion, what may have been an average burrito in a location close to work and a potential new customer turned into a lost customer and negative experience due to poor staff and negligent customer service. read more

I've been here a few times (work right down the street). I have tried the carne asada, al pastor, birria, and fish tacos - and they have usually been pretty good. But this review is because Durango failed the customer service test. I ordered food through their app (because that's the preferred way to order according to them) and requested pickup approximately one hour later. When I arrived to pick up the food everything was ready and I was quick to grab my bag and head back to work. I ordered: 3 fish tacos, 2 crunch tacos (one chicken and one beef), 1 al pastor taco, and 1 chile verde taco, along with chips and salsa and guacamole. I DID NOT receive the al pastor taco or the chile verde taco. When I called the restaurant they said I needed to submit the "claim" via the app. I tried, with no success. When I called back today I was told that the manager "investigated" and the cook and cashier both said they put the tacos in the bag and that I was lying and I ate the tacos - I just didn't want to pay. That was the big no-no for me. You don't get to call me a liar, especially when I'm not in the wrong. The food here is meh, but the manager is a liar and has zero interest in holding the employees accountable. Will never eat here again. And I recommend that you look for another spot to try nearby. read more

The tacos are really filling and fill you up scrumptiously. The place is a bit small but has quite a lot of sitting space. The prices also for the tacos match up to the size of what you get for the food. They have a lot of options from burritos and tacos and plates and prices are reasonable to the food you're provided. The queso Birria tacos are very large themselves and have three in them. It's insane how large it is since you'll be stuffed by the end of it. I was on UberEats looking at places that I might wanna try or order from; I came across this little place, from UberEats I went on Yelp to check out reviews, not much so I was like eh I'mma try it out. I'm glad I did! This was Soo flavorful with their birria tacos and especially the birria broth that comes with it to dip in, so good you can drink it even lol. It comes with 3 tacos that are a good size meaning not too small and not too big but just right. However the beans and rice could use work, those weren't very flavorful at all. The shredded pork tamale I got that's wrapped in foil was pretty good as well but definitely use sauce to make it better, Jarritos drink was sooo good! I originally wanted a strawberry one but they called me to Inform me they didnt have any more and what other flavors they had which was very nice! They are very attentive to your order and are also very friendly as well! (: They hooked me up with limes, green sauce, silverware, napkins, and onion/cilantro mix, very well packaged and definitely worth a try! I go here all the time and no one ever has had a problem with giving us onions and cilantro for the tacos that just have meat in them. I literally got 5 tacos and when I asked for more then the 2 tiny bags of cilantro and onions the older lady with black hair and glasses got upset and told us no.
