The first time I heard about Dutch Bros was at a road trip stop at Oregon. With a large Milky Way, I've managed to drive all the way to the Bay Area without stopping. Been a fan since. I have no clue behind the reasoning why the menu differ between this location and the one in Oregon, but they don't carry the Milky Way! I settled for the Annihilator which wasn't a bad replacement. It wasn't on the sweet side so it was a winner. The baristas and cashier are up beat. While I waited for my drink, they already woke me up with small talk and greetings. They seemed caffeinated if I'm not mistaken, but I mean it in a good way. At 6AM in the morning, anything helps to get your day started. The drive thru is also convenient as I was passing thru. I am not a huge fan of sweet, sugar-overload coffee flavored beverages that Dutch is known for but having one in town maybe I will change my mind.... First off, they are open 24-7...even Starbucks closes for few hours. Not these guys. Maybe that's why the music is pumping a little too loud for some folks' taste but I didn't mind. After all Dixon is in serious need of another coffee shop in town. The staff is quick, young and energetic but always pretty busy so depending on the number of cars in front, some wait is to be expected. The menu is a bit Iacking as they don't list their 'regular' drinks (such as Latte), so make sure to ask if you want something simpler instead of one of their crazy concoctions. I'm hoping I can give them an upgraded review very soon, but so far I've had mixed experiences at this location. I've ordered the same drink every time I've visited and every time it's been different. Including one visit in which I realized too late after driving away, that it had no espresso. Just pure white steamed & sweetened milk. They make every attempt to resolve issues and the service is great, but sometimes you just want consistency. I like Dutch Bros. in general & I'm sure they'll work the kinks out soon. I just hope someone starts enforcing a little quality control. Also important: they don't serve coffee. I know I sound crazy, but I'm not kidding, they make espresso drinks, and they can make you an Americano, but you can not get regular drip coffee here. I highly recommend the annihilator. It's like a macadamia mocha (just taste if BEFORE you drive away ;) My kids love the hot chocolate, and the kids drinks are great and reasonably priced. read more

I was saddened to find out it was an Oregon coffee company... until I did some research and saw that they have a few locations in Davis and Sacramento. Well. Best ever! Opening day. This location is much bigger than most. Walk up window. Double drive through of course. Rocking sound system. Hint: turn at light and go thru hotel lot for easy entrance. Dutch has a slightly different take on coffee...The focus is on fun flavored caffeinated/energy beverages. They do not serve brewed coffee, which is too bad. Do not expected an Aeropress, pour over, Chemex or french press from one of your favorite single origins. Expect sweet outrageous coffee all backed with a loud musical dance beat. It is different and fun and I keep coming back despite my fondness for a fresh roasted Ethiopian or Kenyan pour over. This is my favorite location, why?: 1. The drive through. I know some people have said the drive-through is confusing, but this is by far most organized, and easiest Dutch Bros to get in and out of. Instead of having lanes that hang out into the street when it gets busy, the lines wrap around the building at an angle, with the option to park in a small lot in the center. 2. Dog treats, every time I go they offer my husky a treat, now my dog gets just as excited to go as I do. 3. Similar to In and Out they have portable terminals to take your order when the line is long. 4. Like the other locations, they will graciously replace your drink if you find the new drink you tried not to your liking; this is great because their menu is actually quite extensive. Cons: Their menu is small which makes it hard to read while you wait in line, and it only shows some of their drinks options. Instead visit their website online before visiting or park and look it up on your smart phone. (Or you could always get a recommendation from the friendly staff) read more

Went to Dutch in Davis because Vacaville barely has any of the collection cups. So I purchased the cup and had a carmelizer added since the drink comes with a new cup. Well low and behold after finishing up my drink, I went to wash the cup out. Low and behold I find the care instructions. I guess the new collection/souvenir cups are not rinsed out before adding your favorite beverage. If I knew this, I would've asked them to rinse it before anything else. Future Cup Buyers: Ask the barista to rinse the souvenir cups before adding your favorite drink or else you'll have the instruction soaked in it. read more

I first had Dutch Bros in Washington State, and it was absolutely delicious. It has a cute drive thru vibe to it, and all their drinks are amazing. I love getting a coffee every morning from this place, today I stop to get my regular coffee, they offer a stamp card, my card was full and they said they drink will be on them. This young lady took my order on the tablet and took my stamp card. And didn't give it back. When I went to the window they ask for it I said that she took it away. Everyone I know yammers on about how great Dutch Bros is, as if it's the best coffee shop in the world. It was almost cult-like in the way people loved it. So, I've been to Colombia, where the coffee is so fresh, you can't help but love it. Dutch Bros is a very close second. So I stopped in not expecting much, but I got there and the young lady who was out taking orders was in the rain but about as upbeat as can be. We stopped off here and got a 4 expresso shot iced drink, peach soda and a infused tea. They were all very good drinks. The expresso-laced crack drink could start a big rig engine. I got through 3/4 of it before getting dizzy. Lol. That will keep you up from light to dark! Overall, we dig this coffee joint more than Starbucks and Peet's. Go try it! So upset, I was visiting family in Sacramento and wanted to get Dutch Bros on the way home. I live in Pleasanton but I always go to the Fairfield one. I decided to stop here today to get my Coffee which is usually a White Macadamia Annihilator. So I ordered my drink like I normally would. When the lady handed me my drink, it looked nothing like I Normally get. The lady argued with me back and forth for a moment. When I stated that this doesn't look like the annihilator I usually get she goes "oh, that's not what was put in". So then I tell her what I want and she hands it to my partner who's driving and we drive off. When I get it, it looks like just milk, like they just threw milk in my cup and called it a day. We live in southern California so Dutch Brothers isn't​ a household name. We stopped by the first Street Dutch Brothers and were greeted by Becky with the good hair (as she calls herself ). I had never been, so I wasn't sure what I was looking for and Becky knew it all. J wanted a cold brew. Here's how it went down B: Ok, so we got cold brew in a can, cold brew over ice, cold brew no ice, cold brew with Irish cream, chocolate macadamia nut, a caramel cold brew, coconut mocha, or a white chocolate. Mic drop J&M: (mouths drop) J: I'll have the cold brew no ice with regular cream I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Becky hooked me up with a coffee freeze. It was phenomenal! I'm guessing the new recruits were working today because they had messed up me and my boyfriends order. He ordered a strawberry blue rebel blended and got handed back a strawberry fruit smoothie. Then I ordered a small strawberry smoothie and they forget the whipped cream until I said something. We had repeated our order to them twice and still had them mess up. Not their best day! Update!! Second day in a row and they mess up my order again. I asked for my drink hand blended. And just got a regular blended drink. They seem to not listen or really care about their customers anymore. I like to get Just a plain Iced green tea in the afternoon; mornings usually get a sugar free vanilla latte or a London Fog (hot earl grey tea, more like a latte (with steamed milk?) with sugar free vanilla and honey) There are lots of different smoothies, blended drinks, energy drinks, hot drinks, iced, Italian sodas, bagels, croissants, and muffin tops (orange cranberry is my favorite but lemon poppy seed is good too; there is also choc chip from what I remember) For me, it's not always about getting my drink; it's about seeing the friendly faces of the friendly employees. read more

I waited about two weeks after the Dutch Bros Coffee in Dixon opened to give them a try because I know it can get a bit hectic after any of their location's grand opening. Once again they do not disappoint. Dutch Bros is definitely my favorite coffee joint. Service is so much more friendlier, coffee is yummier, and prices are more reasonable than other java joints. Location is great, right off the freeway in Dixon along my commute to work so this is my go to spot now instead of stopping in Davis. The drive through line is a lot bigger than the one in Davis and Elk Grove, parking is plenty, and the parking lot layout is perfect so that it allows for many cars to either park or wait to get their orders and you won't get cut off by other rude customers who don't want to wait their turn. I'm here almost every day if I'm not running late and I always grab coffee for the other office staff I work with. No matter what I order their coffee has always tasted good and been consistent. The owner should really think about paying for a sign along the freeway though; a lot of people I talk to don't know this location exists, except for the one in Davis so I pass along the word to everyone I know. read more

This place is PHENOMENAL! So glad I tapped the Yelp community for a coffee shop while I was in the area. I had to get my car weighed at a nearby truck scale and noticed this place on Yelp. My husband and I drove up and I told the man taking our order I'd never been here before. He took our order and then said since it was our first time here our order was free. WHAT?! We couldn't believe it. We got an iced latte w sugar free vanilla syrup, a small drip, and an orange cranberry muffin top. All the items were good, especially the latte. The women working in the actual building were extremely friendly just like the man out front and so enthusiastic about their job and talking to us. This is by far my favorite dutch brothers location. I visit frequently, sometimes multiple times a day! The staff is simply awesome, always upbeat and friendly, over time I've come to learn almost everyone's name as they're all such sociable people. My experience today was game changing and I want anyone interested to know what an incredible staff they are-- I was feeling lucky for getting out of work today so I wanted to get the whole Kitchen staff at my job some dutch to be nice, Austin was the one who took my long order, including names on all the drinks for me! And Willow made all of the drinks super quickly, They were ready for me when I got to the window. When I was handed my first drink holder full of large drinks, they were too heavy and broke the cardboard holder, so 2 large iced coffees spilt all over my passenger floor. Harley was quick to pull out my floor mat as instructed by the manager Cassie, who was on her way out with Papertowels and Rags. Cassie and Harley cleaned my floor for me and rinsed off my floormatt, as Austin was on his way out with the 2 drinks they remade to replace the ones that spilt. It was my first time ever at Dutch Bros and this experience will definitely keep me coming back. I just happened to see it after I pumped gas. I was driving back home to the bay area after a week of school. So I definitely needed coffee on my 3hr drive back to the south bay. I pulled up in the drive through not knowing what to get and the employee who helped me out was nothing but amazing. I told her it was my first time and I didn't know what to order. She recommended the kicker. So I ordered the kicker iced with soy milk. Also the fact it was my first time they hooked it up! As I was trying to pay they said the drink was on them today. I was honestly having the roughest week and this was the best way to start my weekend. My drink was amazing! It definitely woke me up and I only drank 1/3 of it and I was wired lol. So thank you so much to ladies who helped me out that day. I appreciate the great customer service and the awesome coffee. This was honestly the worst experience I have had at any place of business. My husband and I stopped by yesterday (July 6th) around 3:15pm to grab a quick drink. We have only been to Dutch Bros maybe three times, with the last time being well over a year ago. We drive up to the girl who was outside ready to take our order and here is the conversation we had: DB Employee #1: What do you want? My husband: Can I see a menu please? DB Employee #1: Have you never been here before? My husband: Uh, well it has been a while we don't come here very often. DB Employee #1: Well our menu hasn't changed in over a year. My husband: Ok, but can I please see a menu? *** Let's stop right here. I still look at a menu even when I go to a fast food restaurant that I have been to several times before. Because we rarely go to Dutch Bros, we don't even know what is on the menu. Obviously they have coffee drinks/hot chocolate/etc., but why is it so difficult to show us a menu?? Let's continue... DB Employee #1: You can drive to the window and look at the menu there. We pull forward to the window and were "greeted" by a second employee... DB Employee #2: Did you order? My husband: Well no, we wanted to look at a menu. DB Employee #2: Ok well here it is. My husband: Do you still have the red bull drink? DB Employee #2: The rebel? Yes we do. What kind do you want? My husband: What do you mean? DB Employee #2: You can pick literally any flavor you can think of. [well that sure is helpful] My husband: OK, cherry I guess. DB Employee #2 (to her coworkers): I need a cherry rebel for NOW. [because, you know, they need to emphasize the fact that we waited until we reached the window to order]. The rest of the encounter went as expected. We paid for and received the drink and left. I really would have appreciated if they had explained what the rebel drink was when my husband asked what flavors there are. Whether it was a simple explanation like, "Oh well the base is an energy drink blended with ... and you can add a fruit flavoring. The most popular is cherry/watermelon/etc." Honestly, where in the hell was the customer service? If people are that miserable at their jobs that they can't even be courteous, especially to newer customers, why are they in the business of customer service? This was such a disappointing experience and we don't plan to ever go back to Dutch Bros. Politeness goes a long way, and the employees at this Dutch Bros have none, especially if it's your first time there or if you haven't been in a while. Apparently requesting a menu is frowned upon and we should be expected to know what is on the menu before arriving. We will happily spend our money elsewhere. read more

On my way back to SF from a day trip to Sac and needed a coffee for the road. Had heard great things about Dutch Bros and always wanted to check out what the hype was all about and so glad I did! Around 10:30 on a Sunday evening I was sure no coffee joint would be open, but decided to check the hours for Dutch Bros and to my surprise it was open 24 hours! I stopped at this location and picked up a hot latte (wanted to try something else but kept it simple because it was late and didn't want anything too crazy). The girl who took my order was so sweet and genuine and even gave me my drink of the house, for it being my first time. The barista who prepared my drink, he was super friendly and welcoming- asked if I wanted to make any changes to my drink, any flavors, toppings, etc. and I appreciated that. He made a killer latte for me and I genuinely enjoyed it too So happy I finally checked it out, will definitely be making a trip back to a Dutch Bros location whenever I come across it next!
