Hubby and I often visit the US and always come across Dutch Bros Coffee but this is just our 2nd time at Dutch Bros. We went through their drive-thru near PDX and I googled their "secret menu" and opted to try their campfire cold brew while the hubby got his go-to order of nitro cold brew. Portions are huge and definitely bigger compared to portion sizes in Canada. Enjoyed my campfire cold brew, it was a little sweet but i expected it since campfire cold brew had marshmallow and choc syrup. I recently changed jobs -- and my route takes me away from my normal stops to get coffee, tea and all the things that get me through the day with a smile! As I have said before - 1st of all you really can't go wrong with a Dutch Brother's. Look the creators of Dutch clearly not only serve good drinks to customers but they also have some sort of secret sauce that all employees must have because somewhere during their hiring process they end up getting some pretty fantastic team members. This location is a bit off the 205 east of the Airport. Easy access really (once you learn where it is) to and from the highway... conveniently it's on my way to work as well lol The service has overall been very friendly and helpful. Often only one window is open although this location is set up as a dual drive thru. However, most recently I have been noticing a team member taking orders mobile while in line. The location is clean. I THINK there is a walk up window if you so choose, but I go through the drive-through. Often it's very very busy which is reflective as well of their service and good coffee - OR maybe it is that I always go in the morning when people are getting coffee most frequently. It does have a convenient location and the drive- through is easy to access as long as you know where you're going and what you're doing. Pretty good sugar free options. I THINK it is coconut, peppermint, white chocolate, chocolate, strawberry and raspberry? But if you aren't limited with your sugar intake they have a LOT of flavors going on. I have lists and lists of drinks so I won't even talk about favorites. A hint for the bougie - If you're looking for a little extra fun make sure to get the soft top. I was resistant to it at the beginning but now I really enjoy it. A lot of people say it is so sweet --- well order it less sweet--- they will accommodate. Overall if you like coffee whether sweet or not this is the place for you. I do tend to like my drinks sweet even though I get sugar free so I may have a different perspective of the others. If you like hot tea they have a (I THINK HARNEY AND SONS) hot cinnamon tea which is amazing. If you like iced tea they have green tea and black tea if you're in the fruit tea flavors try a green tea with Grapefruit Orange and Lime (not sugar free though boooo). I go 5x a week. I love their iced drinks. I am addicted to them. They have been very generous with me on my darkest days. Sometimes it's annoying, but you know that when you go there. They just started order ahead, I am excited to give that a try. I appreciate the fair prices. Black Rock is just as good, but they are $1 more for the same drink. What is Dutch Brothers Coffee? I don't know because I'm from Southern California and programmed by the big green machine [STARBUCKS] to think that nothing else exists! I was told by many Portland natives that this is the place to go, so today I broke my vow to Starbucks, took off my blindfold and earmuffs and dived into the world of Dutch Brothers Coffee! I was welcomed by Cameron outside of the drive up establishment and given the most genuine warm greeting I've ever received! She proceeded to take my order unaware that this was my first experience with Dutch Brothers. She took my order and began to figure out that I may perhaps be a 1st time customer. I confirmed her suspicion and she immediately began to cover their entire menu and the best selection I could make for me desired coffee of choice. I was floored by how helpful and cheerful she was during the order transaction. I pulled up a couple minutes later to pick up my drink from the window and guess who pops back up?! Cameron! She said my order was on the house because I'm a 1st time customer! I was speechless. What business does that during this time and age especially a pandemic?! I inquired about the business and how they operate because they genuinely provide an excellent mom and pop small business feel, but surprised to hear that they operate at this level with over 400 locations. I praised her on her world class customer service, begged that she continue to embrace the company DNA and thanked her for making my otherwise bland morning a special one. "So close and yet so far" This is strictly for the drive through service. My friends in Oregon all said Dutch Bros is the boss coffee for Oregon. Pleasant service, great offerings, delicious coffee so you can imagine how excited I was to come across this Dutch Bros location after gassing up my car for the long trip north. Check out my pic- I was fourth in line and figured it wouldn't take more than a few minutes to get through. A perfect way to start that long haul north. 10 minutes passed, the line wasn't moving. A second line on the other side of the store wasn't moving either. Did they run out of coffee? Were the orders complicated? When it passed the 15 minute mark without either side moving I reluctantly decided to pass up this opportunity rather than risk more of a clog along the way and thru the I-5. I would have thought they would have been particularly careful about moving the customers through at this location because of it's close proximity to the airport. You know, many transient type clientele going to and from the airport. Will have to dream of what that coffee tastes like. The other reviews praise the taste and service so there are definitely positives here. But from what I experienced today ( and it may have been a fluke) if you don't have the luxury of time, bypass this location for some Java elsewhere. read more

I make my way around since Hubby worked in Vancouver and now PDX so i hit all those locations when visiting him. Their baristas are usually pretty friendly, and they have the hottest barista working the other night! There's no Dutch Bros in Hawaii so it's a must to get a drink here. A friend of mine in WA introduced me to the Annihilator drink. I'm not sure what's in it, but just get it because it's super good. Service here wasn't that quick. There's a window when you first get into the drive-thru, however, there was a sign to pull forward to the next window. At the same window you place your order and wait for your drink. The workers were nice and made small talk asking about our day and where we were headed to next. Disclaimer: This is a review of the service. The espresso was excellent. The drive in was a confusing situation with a sign in the first window that said something to the effect of "wait" but the real window was the second window, and it took waiting for 10 minutes for me to realize that no one was coming, and no one inside bothered to say anything to me. When I finally get into the right line, a young guy comes to take my order before I get to the actual window. I tell him, espresso please. He looks at me with confusion and says, americano? Latte? while fiddling around with his pad. I repeat myself. He then tells me they don't have espresso. I tell him, if you have americanos and lattes, then you have espresso. He looks puzzled and repeats that there are no espressos. Finally, in frustration, I drive up to the window and order from the person there to get my espresso. The whole ordering experience was mystifying, but when I told the woman at the window, she merely shrugged and said, he's new. Bad customer service. If it wasn't for the excellent espresso, I would never go back. But I will never go back to that particular location. read more
