A wonderful neighborhood coffee shop, exactly what we needed. The service is great, the drinks are excellent, and the baked goods are some of the best in Portland. Everything always fresh and delicious. They have a wonderful mix of sweet and savory baked goods. My only issue is the seating. Many times I've visited, people stay at tables with laptops for three to four hours, which makes it hard for others to find a spot to sit for even 30-40 minutes. On my last visit, the people who were there before me were still there when I left 45 minutes later. I really wish the shop would consider a one-hour limit or designate a few shorter-stay tables. I'd come much more often if I felt confident I could sit and enjoy my drink and treat, but the lack of turnover has kept me from stopping in. read more

Everything is so cutely decorated, and the building they share with Pfriem Brewery gives it a unique and cozy feel. They have a large upstairs area, which I can see myself coming here with my laptop. The pastry selection is fantastic. If you have time to sit down for breakfast, I definitely recommend it. That is what I did on my first visit. This has been a growing favorite of mine that I find myself visiting a few times each trip to Portland. It's cute with a classic 'old' vibe yet some modern twists ... vintage like if you will. Has both indoor and outdoor seating, WiFi and bathrooms for customers. They offer a wide selection of baked goods, including GF and Vegan friendly ones.. in fact the vegan flatbread is one of my favorite items! Typically, I'm making oat milk, cappuccino girl, but occasionally I'll get a latte and both of those made here are incredibly delicious. This quaint coffee shop on the East side of Portland has a vintage feel and serves a good cup of coffee. I got a small iced mocha which had a great balance between being sweet and bold. All of the baristas were very kind and greeted me upon walking to the front to order. The inside has some seating and there are more tables outside for the nicer fall days like when I went. They also have a small corner filled with merchandise they sell in shop. This is my first time at the Woodstock location but I have been to Keeper coffee before on Milwaukee and I loved it. Today I got the coffee cake which is ok, a bit dry and hard. Similar to what others have posted, be aware they did have a 20% min tip but I think I received an email that they will be incorporating these in their prices now to provide a fair wage. Not a deal breaker but will run you a little more expensive than other places. After doing some research before flying into PDX for a father/daughter trip this little coffee shop came highly recommended and I can see why. Its everything anyone could possibly want in a local corner coffee and pastry shop! Quaint and cozy and obviously very popular as we went in mid week on a Wednesday around 930/10 and it was full inside. Fortunately didnt have to deal with any long lines but even of there were it would be so worth it. Friendly baristas and everyone behind the counter also seemed happy and pleasant. My daughter settled on an iced oat milk latte, I had a mocha, and we split a marionberry galette and some zucchini bread. Both coffees were amazing (the iced latte was smooth and refreshing and the mocha was rich but not overly sweet (perfect) and loved loved loved the marionberry pastry!!! Loved the area and the vibe inside and wouldnt hesitate to come back again. Now the not so good. Pretty much everything else. I read the reviews before heading there and was aware of the high prices and the 20% service fee but wow, it really racks up. 3 pastries, a coffee and a hot tea ended up being $45. I was blown away. I ordered a rose cardamom mocha and it was pretty ordinary. 12oz with oat milk came out to almost $8. My wife's tea which was 1 tea bag and 8oz of water came out to $4.25. The place was absolutely packed and no menu given until you get to the front so it was hard to get to the counter prepared with what to order. Despite the tasty food, we won't be coming back. This place is waaaay outside of my tax bracket. read more

I loved the atmosphere and feel of the cottage coffee shop. They are women owned cafe too. The barista was so friendly and helpful. I love this place, I've probably gone here 20-25 times. Every time the service is great and my coffee and food is consistently good! I saw some comments about the automatic 20%. I've gone to other coffee places here in Portland with the same gratuity added. And normally I find it annoying, because often times my coffee is bad or their service lacks *cough cough flour bloom*. Keepers coffee on the other hand, deserves that 20%, the workers go above and beyond and I was tipping 20% even before they enforced that. They really deserve that. Without question, this place rocks ! It checked all my boxes, prime coffee beans (Couva), great barista application, attention to detail and finally, vibe for days. This pretty busy coffee shop is worth the wait and the line can be long at times, but at first sip, you know why.
