Very cozy local coffee shop with warm whimsical atmosphere. Good coffee and pastries and wonderful services.

This was an excellent find! Delicious coffee, amazing food and wonderful staff. We shared a ham and cheese sandwich and a strawberry rhubarb hand pie. Both were absolutely delicious. Wish I lived closer but will find reasons to be in that area again just so I can go there!

A wonderful neighborhood coffee shop, exactly what we needed. The service is great, the drinks are excellent, and the baked goods are some of the best in Portland. Everything always fresh and delicious. They have a wonderful mix of sweet and savory baked goods. My only issue is the seating. Many times I've visited, people stay at tables with laptops for three to four hours, which makes it hard for others to find a spot to sit for even 30-40 minutes. On my last visit, the people who were there before me were still there when I left 45 minutes later. I really wish the shop would consider a one-hour limit or designate a few shorter-stay tables. I'd come much more often if I felt confident I could sit and enjoy my drink and treat, but the lack of turnover has kept me from stopping in.

Charming local cafe with a very nice selection of fresh pastries. Coffees tasted more on the "mild" side for me. I needed something a bit punchier for the drive back to Seattle, but it was delicious nonetheless. Our quiche was the perfect portion size and so tasty! Not sure why we hadn't been to Keeper before but we'll be back! Service was excellent (the manager was so kind and helpful when I called in an error I made and tried to pay them online somehow), and the decor is cozy cute. Street parking wasn't too difficult, but I can see it being a challenge during morning hours.

This is one of those neighborhood coffee shops in Portland that I always find myself coming back to. It's warm and inviting the moment you walk in, with that comforting wave of coffee aroma that makes the space feel instantly cozy. It's always busy, but in a way that feels lively rather than overwhelming. They're known for their quiche, but I usually end up ordering something sweet. This time I tried the coffee cake for the first time, and it was surprisingly delicious--light, not overly sweet, and perfect with a latte. I also had the marionberry and cream pastry again, which is one of my favorites. It's bright, slightly tart, creamy, and has that satisfying bit of crunch. The coffee here has low acidity, a smooth profile, and a medium body, which pairs beautifully with their pastries. Starting my morning with something this sweet and comforting just makes me happy.

I love going to Keeper Coffee. They have two locations, but I usually visit the one in Milwaukie, although I really should give the other one a try. What makes this place stand out is the vibe. Everything is so cutely decorated, and the building they share with Pfriem Brewery gives it a unique and cozy feel. They have a large upstairs area, which I can see myself coming here with my laptop. The pastry selection is fantastic. If you have time to sit down for breakfast, I definitely recommend it. That is what I did on my first visit. On my second visit, I grabbed a pastry and a drink to go, wandered around, and stopped into some of the nearby vintage shops, which made for such a lovely afternoon.

I love Keeper Coffee! The one off of Holgate is nearer to me than the larger storefront in Milwaukie, and cozy. My go-to treat is their iced lemon cake! You get a hefty, delicious slice for the price (tip is already included). They also make an amazing pea flower latte that is blue! Fun! And mine came with a unicorn drawn into the foam! Love the servers and the service.

I ordered their iced latte with homemade syrup and liked it. 8/ 10. I will have to go back to try their pastries which looked really good.

I was debating what to do on a Sunday afternoon and decided it was a coffee shop vibe kinda day. I consulted ChatGPT and yelp and landed here. 10/10 recommend! I ordered an americano and df/gf and both were really good. There is parking available on the street. I can see where peak times could be a little harder to snag. Service was great too!

Keeper Coffee was the first to have the $8 latte in Portland that I know of, but to their credit the prices of everything else has gone up so they're about average now do their credit. they don't require Tips because the service is built in in order for them to maintain consistent staffing, which is understandable. And now they have another location out in Milwaukie, Oregon, which is quite good and more spacious. They have consistent quality with their drinks, though it's quite overcrowded in there (which is a testament to their popularity). I like the fact that they've established a no laptop rule during busy hours because people at coffee shops like to camp out and this is a small spot. I also like that they don't have a lot of attrition with the staff. Other coffee shops have staff that come and go and don't seem very pleasant but the staff at Keeper Coffee always seem at very minimal congenial and most often very friendly and welcoming. That goes a long way in Portland, where a lot of coffee shops have mediocre to pour customer service.

This has been a growing favorite of mine that I find myself visiting a few times each trip to Portland. It's cute with a classic 'old' vibe yet some modern twists ... vintage like if you will. Has both indoor and outdoor seating, WiFi and bathrooms for customers. They offer a wide selection of baked goods, including GF and Vegan friendly ones.. in fact the vegan flatbread is one of my favorite items! Typically, I'm making oat milk, cappuccino girl, but occasionally I'll get a latte and both of those made here are incredibly delicious. Staff is always so kind and supportive, heads up that the lines can be long here, but it's entirely worth it. I know I'll be back for more when I'm visiting again!

Friendly staff, great variety of pastries, breads, and a couple sandwiches options, We tried zucchini bread, chocolate croissant, bacon and egg sandwich, savory scone. All delectable. Set in a residential area. Not an abundance of seating but we got lucky to get a table for three right away. Drafty by door but it's February. Was bustling but not crowded. Ample staff with fun vibe. Can tell this is a local hot spot.

This quaint coffee shop on the East side of Portland has a vintage feel and serves a good cup of coffee. I got a small iced mocha which had a great balance between being sweet and bold. All of the baristas were very kind and greeted me upon walking to the front to order. The inside has some seating and there are more tables outside for the nicer fall days like when I went. They also have a small corner filled with merchandise they sell in shop. Overall, I would recommend this shop if you are looking for something new and something local, it can be a great spot to sit down and get some work done.

The latte art was on point, the cold brew was most definitely strong, cafe au lait was milky and foamy in the best way, and the americano drinks were fabulous. While their hours (#4) aren't particularly suited for after-work hours, they do an excellent job of keeping their space clean and the vibes low key throughout the morning and afternoon. Their shop is very curated and is definitely has a "recently here because of gentrification vibe." However, I know it's been in Portland for a while and locals swear by it. With shops like these I find it easy to focus and work. The minimalist and industrial decor is a great place for adhd brains like mine. I was warmly greeted by someone at the register. I was interested in so many choices on their matcha. Horchata iced coffe, orange latte, strawberry Ube matcha. I asked the barista if they do exchanges or remakes for drink if the customer dislikes what they ordered. She mentioned they have a NO REMAKES policy. I knew it was time to lock in instead of trying something Willynilly. She was super patient with me as I wondered what to get and discussed my hesitations. She let me sample a tiny amount of the strawberry uber syrup and lavender to make my decision and it helped. I ended up getting and iced lavender matcha and didn't regret it at all. It's been hard for me to find good matcha in Portland and they didn't disappoint. The syrup was blended in well. The flavor of the matcha wasn't too grassy, bitter or powdery. I'm sad it's a seasonal drink because I'll Miss it. I also got an almond croissant, which was good but not mind blowing. I think I'll try the banana bread next time.
