Dutchman's BBQ is doing a lot of things right, starting with the fact that our table went quiet once the food arrived. Always a good sign. I ordered the pork tacos and the flavor was outstanding. Smoky, rich, and clearly made by someone who respects pork. I loved the sweet bits of pineapple in them. They were a little greasy, but not in a deal breaker way. More like a grab an extra napkin and keep going situation. The service deserves a real shoutout. It felt intentional, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. Orders were handled smoothly for our group of seven, timing was solid, and no one made us feel rushed or forgotten. That kind of service matters, especially with a big table. The self-serve BBQ sauce bar is dangerous in the best way. Housemade pickles, onions, and sauces invite curiosity instead of collecting dust. I went back more times than I planned. I also had the rosemary blueberry gin cocktail and it was beautifully balanced. Not too sweet, not too herbal, just really well done. BBQ and cocktails do not always get along, but this one absolutely worked. The only challenge was the noise level inside. The music was loud enough to make conversation tricky. The outdoor area with the fire pits and heaters looked amazing, but it was completely full. A few more outdoor spots would make a big difference. All that said, I would absolutely go back. This business just opened. It has been under re-construction for more than a year. The items that we ordered were alright but nothing out standing or different than any other good BBQ restaurant. We did not like standing in line like you do at a fast food joint to order your food, drinks or alcohol. Very noisy, no shades on the window to keep the afternoon sun from blinding you and the worst part was the FLYS. We do not like fighting flys away from our food. read more

Came here with some friends and family. We all wanted to try this place out. We had the sampler platter. This consists of 1/4lb of their pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and their sausage. The brisket and sausage was amazing. The pulled pork and ribs were good. This came with corn bread, which I love. I also ordered their chili. It was also good. Now their dessert was not that great. We sampled the lemon merengue tart, pecan pie tart, banana pudding. None were worth the try. However, we would like to come back and hang out by the fire pits. read more

Third time here, I was very disappointed. Loaded potato was not cooked through, but a little hard at the core. I chose brisket for the potato--there were at least 3 globs of fat, especially for the amount of meat; I found that so gross!! And the fat from the brisket had kind of melted into the potato. Fun place with outdoor seating and "dance floor" off patio. Parking available but parking was limited as people were parking stupid and taking up spaces and blocking exit. they need to have spaces marked rather than just gravel pit. The brisket was way over cooked. sauce was too spicey (hot) and a couple people in our group couldn't eat theirs. I did eat mine but had bad indigestion. The food was amazing! I ordered the brisket tacos and they were absolutely delicious. My husband got the burger, which he really enjoyed too. The fries were tasty, and my kids finished all their chicken--always a good sign! The banana pudding was easily one of the best I've had in a long time. First impression. The views of the Superstitions are spectacular. The restaurant itself has nice decor with a cowboy theme and country music playing. We got there around 4:30 and it was beginning to get busy. We waited a few minutes to order then sat in the bar area so we had a good view! Our bar drinks came quickly and mine was tasty! Our food arrived shortly after the drinks. My husband had the brisket sandwich and I had the pulled pork sandwich, both were equally delicious . Our sides were the slaw, cheesy potatoes and the Mac and cheese. They were all quite flavorful. The atmosphere is awesome. A great patio with a few firepit s, heaters and what appeared to be a stage with a small dance floor. My husband and I really enjoyed Dutchmans and will definitely be going back. I gave this joint 5 stars because of the service and the sauces. The only thing I'd say is the Mac and cheese is bland and stay away from the pulled pork. The turkey, sausage and brisket is outstanding. The view of the Superstition Mountain is in constant view while you eat. The outdoor patio is where it's at, if weather permits, eat outside. We sat beyond the outside bar on a high top plank bar. Looking straight at the mountain. Get there, the journey is well worth it. read more

New BBQ joint in town, and I had to check it out. The food came out lightning fast, which was great except it showed up like it took the scenic route to see the amazing view of the Superstitions before coming to the table. Lukewarm, not hot. Minor bummer, but I'll give them some grace since they're new. We went with the two-meat plate: fatty brisket and Hatch chili cheddar sausage, plus Gouda mac and cheese on the side. The brisket had that perfect smoke ring and pulled apart like a dream, and the sausage had all the green chili flavor a girl could ask for. The green chili cornbread with honey drizzle was so good, but next time I will ask for the hot honey drizzle. Appetizers were the Texaz Twinkies and pork belly lollipops, both worth the calories. The Twinkies were a creamy, cheesy, smoky masterpiece stuffed into a jalapeño that hit all the right notes without setting your mouth on fire. The pork belly lollipops were sticky, saucy, and practically fell apart when you looked at them. Dessert was a pecan pie tart with house-made whipped cream, light and fluffy, though I wouldn't have complained if the cream had a bit more sweetness. Drinks were on point. The Basil Bourbon Berry was refreshing and dangerously easy to sip, and the Church Music beer came out ice-cold and crisp. Overall, the flavors were bold, the presentation was fun, and the menu feels fresh for the BBQ scene. I will also note the flies were a little too friendly for my liking, maybe some table fly fans inside would be beneficial. read more

Order at the counter or at bar. Husband and I split a pulled pork and a brisket sandwich and 3 sides - beans were good as was elote. The coleslaw was sort of sad. The sandwiches had sauce - didn't need any of the variety of sauces available separately (also dill pickles and picked onions). I liked the sauce on meat better than the original side sauce which felt neither zesty nor sweet enough ... but that's highly personal. Amazing outdoor area w half dozen fire pits. Only complaint per husband was no Thursday night football.
