Our family stopped by yesterday before heading to the library next door for some lunch. It's our first time and I'm writing this because my inner caveman has never been so satisfied. We have not found a decent place for BBQ since Homer's left. I hate when people praise the BBQ chains like Rudy's or Dickeys (esp. this place ) or you have small establishments who try; you can identify excellent BBQ by ribs and brisket. I need to preface that I'm not a big meat-eater and used to be vegetarian for seven years prior to marriage. My weakness is turkey, wings and RIBS! I have very high standards on these proteins. OMG, save the animals!! The ribs were absolute perfection! They held but also fell off the bone, smokey but moist and no sauce was needed. The locked in rub was perfect. They really did a great job prepping and cooking, and you can tell both those steps were meticulous. I got a half rack only which was $18 and that's all you need. No reason to add other stuff (I did steal a couple fries from the kids if I have to be honest). My son is a lot like me, not a big meat eater, and he ate an entire rib. This right here is testament to quality. Take it from a three-year-old! Honestly, a half rack and an IPA is all a girl needs to satisfy that lil caveman! Quite possibly the best BBQ that I've had since moving out here.... 20 years ago! The flavors, the portion sizes, the service and ambiance were all on point! FIRST ...PLEASE support small businesses!!! For the longest time, I kept telling the owners that I would stop by and come eat especially since I remember them serving us years ago at my job. Watching them grow from a food truck to their own brick-and-mortar spot has been amazing! Even though it's far, far, far out of my way, I decided to surprise them and chase down those Bama beans I used to be addicted to... and let me tell you... they did NOT disappoint. I ordered the ribs, potato salad, and of course, my favorite... the beans. First of all, the ribs were falling off the bone and boyyyy were they delicious. The beans? Still absolutely amazing. And the potato salad? So good. Everything was on point. This place is honestly worth the drive. There's plenty of parking, and it's located in such a cute part of town. I definitely recommend stopping by, whether it's with your Valentine, your friends, or even solo. It's a no-judgment zone with fantastic food! I ate so much that I put myself into a full-on sleep coma... so with that being said senior nap time. I moved to Arizona from California 4 years ago, and honestly I've been disappointed with the food scene. A friend recommended Queen Creek BBQ, and I have to say--these are the best wings I've had anywhere. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Today was my first time here as I met with three colleagues for lunch. One of them is from S Korea and it was his first time trying American style BBQ so I was excited for him to dig in. Queen Creek BBQ didn't disappoint in any way! Hooweee I had "broke da mouth" pork ribs with beans n cole slaw and it was all onolicious! The ribs were so tasty they didn't need any bbq sauce on them (Just like the menu says!) and the meat just fell off the bone! The beans were just as tasty. So smokey, salty n sweet that I gobbled them up pretty quickly. The coleslaw was refreshing and went well with the ribs n beans. Our waitress was very attentive and kept us happy. She even jumped with excitement when we asked if she could take a picture of us. I wish I got her name but you know who you are! I'll get it next time! Even the Captain of the BBQ smoker (l think he was the owner.) came out to ask how we liked it, which was nice. It's a small place but very cozy and has that small town bbq feel which I loved. We decided to try this place out for dinner tonight. We got there around 545 on a Friday and it was busy. We got almost the last seats at the bar since all the table were full and people were already waiting. The bartender was quick to greet us and take our order. The food took a little time to come out but that's to be expected in a busy place. We tried the brisket plate with mac and cheese and coleslaw as sides, and a Mac bowl with brisket. The brisket was tender and juicy, the coleslaw and Mac and cheese were really good too. I usually like a spicy bbq sauce but they only have one sauce (it was good though). The barbecue in Arizona has not thrilled me. There is one location in Apache Junction that has amazing brisket and so I thought I would give this location a try to see how they compare. The brisket had an amazing smoked flavor. Extremely tender. The barbecue sauce was more of the sweet version, and I prefer the vinegar version, however, that did not take away from the amazing flavor of the smoked brisket! I would definitely come here and get this again! I also had the baked beans which were phenomenal, with a little kick, and the macaroni and cheese, also very good. I stopped in and tried this new BBQ joint recently. I ordered a pound and a half of brisket, a half slab of ribs, an order of fries, an order of mac n' cheese and some of the beans. I got a Powerade to drink. Somehow this added up to $96!!! For $96 I was expecting larger portions for the sides. They were tiny. The mac n' cheese was really good. Unfortunately, the BBQ sauce here is really sweet and it's in the beans, so it ruined the beans for me. And I'm from the Midwest originally where they use molasses and brown sugar to make BBQ sauce. This sauce was sweeter than what I'm used to. The brisket was good. I would say #2 out of all the BBQ places in the East Valley. The ribs were the star of the show for me. Some of the best ribs I've ever had! Best I've had anywhere in AZ! The staff was awesome and the inside was decorated nicely. After listening to a review from this restaurant from social media, I took 2 others to try QC BBQ. The location is quaint, right in the old downtown QC. It's not a big restaurant at all, but it does have a bar with seating there. The employees were very nice but very busy....this place was packed. I didn't ever see a long line, but there was rarely, if ever, an open table. We waited about 20 minutes for a seat. No biggie for a Friday night. However, we were seated for about 50 minutes without any drinks. In fact no one even asked for our drink order for about 30 minutes after being seated. We were just sitting there. Once the waitress came to take our order, she informed us the fryer was broken (so none of the fried food was available) and that they were out of pizzas and potatoes. Everything we were going to order was not available. There was no sign anywhere to indicate to anyone coming to eat there that was the case. Had we known that, we would not have eaten there that night. Pretty frustrating. With that said, we finally ordered pulled pork, chicken, ribs, and brisket. Our sides were macaroni, coleslaw, and beans. The food did not take too long to be served. It did not disappoint. The quality and taste of the food was great. So, the location was cool, staff was friendly, and food was really good. The service was extremely disappointing, and this place is too small to accommodate on a busy night. Right before our drinks finally came, I had actually told my party we were leaving, but once drinks came, we decided we had already been there so long, we would just stay and eat. I'll try this place one more time on a weekday to see if I return. We were thrilled to be part of the grand opening of Queen Creek Barbecue Co! When we arrived, there was a line that stretched literally all the way to the door! As soon as we stepped inside, we could smell the incredible aroma that made all of our mouths water. The restaurant is so nice and had such a cozy and inviting vibe. While we waited for a table, we looked over the menu and were so tempted to try everything that was offered! We finally decided on the Bam Sampler plate, which includes brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and two sides. For our sides we chose the Mac & Cheese and the slaw. We also ordered a pork rib plate.
