I bought a Cadillac here several years ago, and brought in my present Cadillac for an oil change when I was back in California with only 4 percent of oil life left in the car. A reservation was made four days in advance and honored; my car was quickly received and serviced; and for perhaps only the third time in my life the "complimentary" multipoint inspection revealed not one additional problem to be addressed, and no additional service or product was recommended. The estimated cost in writing for a synthetic oil change is all I had to pay, after also receiving a complimentary hand washing of my Cadillac XTS. I dealt with several different Dutton Motor Company employees, so the superior service I received in the Service Department appears to be company wide. Kudos to them and it! read more

Terrible customer Service Department. 2024 GMC Sierra with 7k miles. Sorry I asked them to advocate for their customer and fix my truck. Apparently asking the Service Department to do their job gets your future appointments "Cancelled". I'd love to know the reason for cancelling in writing but they declined. Standard practice I assume. I am left with a truck that isn't safe to operate, engine and braking issues, and they cancel on me the day of. Again nothing in writing for the reason. If your curious why I got banned. No yelling or pushing, no scene made, I asked for things in writing and they declined to answer further. I tried to record and they immediately shut down. Reached out to the GM David Craine for support, and was made to feel insignificant. Come today my appiontment from last week for critical issues cancelled and I'm banned from further service. No heads up nothing. I asked for them to coordinate another dealership or any assistance and again declined. Dutton would you like to answer? Why no accountability with a truck that's currently stranded and unsafe to drive? Why offer no solutions? Why am I left to deal with corporate myself? GMC Corporate can you offer some insight? I bought a used truck on 6/15/25. Truck was cosmetically in good shape. Took it for a test drive and ended up buying the truck. The truck had suffered an accident prior but they promised me they would take care of everything. I took the truck to get it repaired but they only repaired the front bumper but the other safety feature on the car they said they were not liable. The truck was under the Car Bravo warranty. I also took the truck for a ticking noise in the engine but they said it was not covered under the warranty even though I took the truck in for that and a couple of problems more before te warranty expired. Very disappointed in Tim Carney that even though I have communication and Dutton motors have all communication about these problems they refused to fix them. Sad to see a company like Dutton treat his customers like this. Looking for legal advice at the moment for resolution. Very disappointed. read more

Took them 9 days (!) to even diagnose my vehicles problems. Then they hit me with a quote that was FOUR times what any other mechanic gave me. This company cares NOTHING for it's customers and is ready to fleece you at any opportunity. read more

Check engine light is still on and Found loose wires that should have been bundled or protected laying right on hot engine parts. Did some research for an SUV and kept coming across Dutton Cadillac. The dealership had great selections so I called to see if they were available for test drives. Talked with Curtis and was invited to come in. He inquired on a time we might be coming but no appt was set up for the following day (Sunday). I read reviews of other listed dealerships (autotrader.com) that would add on fees to the advertised price of the vehicles but Dutton was great with no surprises or pressure in the purchase! I would highly recommend Dutton motors and look forward to going back to purchase a truck in the future. 1. Test drive was no pressure felt and easy to talk with while having plenty of answers to our questions. 2. Scheduled a recall service appointment at this dealership several days ago. Brought the car in today, left it for the repair and I received a call a few hours later explaining that they did not have the part for repair. They asked us to come back to pick up the car and they would order the part and call us back in for the repair another day. When we picked up the car I asked to speak to the service manager. this was a huge inconvenience and I believe it is very preventable. The service manager was not immediately available and I asked him to call me. Later in the day, I spoke to the Service Manger, Jerry. I explained how frustrating and incovenient this situation was. I explained that all his staff was very pleasant and apologetic. Jerry was apologetic and explained he knows how inconvenient this is. I noted the event is a breakdown in process and that it reflected on his ability to coordinate things to prevent this. I explained that if this is the first time it happened then it was a learning experience. If it happened several times before then it is a reflection on the leadership and work process in the dealership. Jerry responded that "your're right, I am a terrible manager". He thanked me and we ended the call. Do you think that Jerry will work to fix the problem? Did he get my point? Do you think he made me feel like he valued my feedback? Managers open to feedback from their customers and working to fix things usually offer a sincere response. Jerry was bothered by my feedback and he dismissed my concerns. Judge for yourselves if that means anything about dealing with this dealership. read more

I purchased my car back in 2022, with Luis Lopez. He is the ONLY REASON i continue to come here. This review is for the service department. Service here is unfortunately garbage! First off you can't even get ahold of anyone because they are never available. When you do, they are not even helpful and keep transferring you around where NO ONE again picks up. I've had multiple issues with my car and schedule appointments to get these problems addressed is such a pain. I do not recommend their service department at all, unless you want a headache. We just purchased a late model pre owned vehicle here. We were so impressed with everything to do with the purchase for several reasons. First-our salesperson Elliott Barber!! See him! He was personable, patient and super helpful from the start. If you have a somewhat negative idea of a stereotypical car salesman, Elliott is the opposite and will dispel that stereotype. He went beyond the call of duty to make us happy and is an overall nice person to deal with. Secondly, they offered a very fair price for our trade in. Anyone with experience with trade ins should be pleased that this dealership did not hurt us in this respect. The dealership overall has beautiful cars (after we found what we had been looking for I kept getting distracted by other cars they had) and everyone there has been courteous and helpful. I have been two different Buick locations to do my service for my Buick Enclave . I don't know if it's a California thing but this is the second location that I get really bad service. I see that in this location they do have a side for appointments and none appointment I came in with no appointment. I told him what my situation was. I asked nicely if he could help me out because I went to the Tustin Buick location to get assistance with my vehicle. They didn't give me the diagnosed paper. I came here telling them that I don't know what the diagnose situation problem is And he said he didn't know what he can do nothing nothing to do about it and he seemed like he didn't wanna help me out I asked nicely so what do I do? The absolute worst customer service ever ! They had my New Cadillac here for 2 weeks with no rental & no issues being resolved! My left signal doesn't work & transmission slips . Radio screen doesn't work & for them to tell me no everything is fine & than Only to charge me a $268 dollar fee ! For a diagnosis fee when nothing got diagnosed!! We had a great experience with everyone we encountered! Stephan helped us purchase a vehicle and was super easy to work with! The whole process was very smooth and we never felt pressured!! We were very impressed at the dealership and how they went above and beyond...the day after we purchased the car, we woke up to low tire pressure on one of the tires and noticed a nail in the tire. We called the dealership to see what they recommend we should do. Travis informed us to go to their wheel shop and he even called and gave them a heads up we were coming and we were out of there in 10 minutes!! My husband and I have been dealing with truck issues since we purchased it from Dutton. A 2022 truck already having to go thru an oil consumption test because, based on the first test, it is indeed consuming too much oil. I have to return back again for another oil reading in another 2k miles but in the meantime, was told by service manager, Jerry, that I would be responsible for the oil change fee OF ALMOST $200 since it was indicating the oil was due. How does it even make sense for me to be responsible after Jerry verbally confirmed my vehicle does show it is consuming more oil than it should? If my vehicle was working properly, it wouldn't need as many oil changes as it has had in such short period of time. Logic. I went over to speak to Travis in a different department and explained the situation to him. Travis advised me not to worry and that the fees were going to be covered. Thank you Travis, for making sure I was not charged for something I should not be responsible for. Jerry submitted the order for oil change along with a recall order. The day after, my vehicle started making a rumbling noise every time we drive it and it so happens to be around or the specific area where the recall part was replaced. So I have to head back again tomorrow for another inspection. Been there 2 times this week already. At the time of vehicle pick up Jerry said to me which left me speechless, " I know you are not very happy with our service and because you may receive a survey and those survey make a positive or negative impact on us, I just ask that you don't fill one out. Side note: I am disappointed to see one star reviews for this wonderful dealership based on reasons they cannot control. There is a car shortage and unfortunately car dealerships have been affected significantly. I loved the no-pressure environment. I went to about 6 dealers before this one, and was so tired of the typical pressure one receives at dealerships. Not this dealership! Stephan was super nice and informative over the phone. When we arrived, we were able to test drive immediately and gave us an opportunity and space afterwards to talk privately with my family about the driving experience. Although it wasn't one of the luxury Cadillacs or GM cars (it was a pre-loved Kia), they made us feel our needs were just as important as if we were to buy one of their other amazing vehicles! We all know it's a dealerships option to add mark up. As a GM Supplier who is eligible for the GM Supplier discount I inquired if they would honor the GM supplier discount as they had a unit in transit I was interested in. Their online reply "unfortunetly no sir we are not". See attached photo. I was hoping not to wait 12-16 weeks for a custom order. Hopefully you remember this dealerships actions during the pandemic and take your business elsewhere. As a side note although vehicles are exempt from price gouging laws during a state of emergency their mark up is about $10k over MSRP (see photo) anything over a 10% increase is considered illegal. read more

All I say is, don't take every recommendation with a grain of salt!...My LasT oil change my tire had a leak and required repair. I was told my tire was unrepairable and was offered a 250$ quote on a new tire. Took my truck the same week to the guy who did my custom tires and he fixed it no questions ask! MONTHS LATER IM STILL ROLLING ON THAT UNREPAIRABLE TIRE. Also, I haven't had my truck for a full year and I'm already leaking oil. Previously bought a used 2017 gmc denal 2500 HD from Dutton GMC in Riverside. A month driving it check light came on. I notify the sales man and he said to bring it in. The light went off after 2 months and back on again. Took it to another dealership Mark Christopher Ontario because the truck with slamming into 1st and 2nd gear transmission / and engine shaking and idling high. It was there 4 times within 6 months. They could not figure it out. They told me to take it to the dealer I bought it from. It's been there for 2 months as of November 4th for the 5th time. None of the repairs is under warranty or my extended warranty. It's not consider a lemon law because of the year by little. Now added a fuel pump on back order that was never talked about and not cover on warranty. I'm looking over $1200 out of pocket, no updates from Jerry Flores or Angel. The dealer knew they were selling a product defect vehicle to me. Now on waiting on GMC customer support, or to seeking legal consultation!!!! Horrible experience!! read more

I bought a new Yukon from Dutton, I have mixed reviews, which is why I had given them only 3 stars. For the sales side, I would give them 5-stars! No BS, not pushy, and professional. I had an overall positive buying experience. Probably on my top 5 list of positive experiences. On the flip side, the service department only gets 1-star. The service department here is lacking, and sadly I would not return. The sales manager had a short fuse and was not professional by any means. When I had tried to get resolution from higher above, my challenge was still not rectified. I had to go to another GMC dealer for proper service, and even pay...even though my car is new and is under warranty. At least the other dealer got it right! Sadly, I would not be returning. I also wonder why they do not provide snacks in the customer service lounge. My former vehicle was a Lexus and I was used to complementary snacks in the waiting area. When you spend as much for a GMC as you would with a luxury brand, I believe customers expect this as standard. read more

Ill try to make this short. This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything, but I felt it needed to be said. Three basic oil changes on my 2018 GMC 2500HD. All three returned with pretty good oil leaks from the oil filter. This is the most basic service on your vehicle. Each time, I had to take time off work to return it to them for repair. Each time I had to scrub my driveway to clean the oil leaking from my oil filter. The service techs continuously blamed a faulty oil filter. Over three years?!? Well, today I returned it again to be fixed. The manager apologized and gave no reason for this continuing problem. Once the truck was returned to me, I checked the oil filter before I left. All good so far. However, I checked my oil level and they never refilled the lost oil. The dip stick didnt even register oil!!! Needless to say, Shame on me for bringing it back after the first issue. Dutton GMC Techs are the only mechanics to touch my truck. I bring it there for piece of mind that the service is being done right (At $200 an oil change!!). VERY DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER RETURN. If they do this on an oil change, I can only imagine how a serious mechanical issue is handled by Dutton GMC. Beware!! read more

Bought my truck here. It was a no hassle transaction, I loved it. The service department on the other hand, sucks. Had a CEL, they said it would take a week just to diagnose it, with no loaner. Two and a half weeks later they clear the CEL, I get my truck back, but it needs to go back later because they are waiting for parts unrelated to the CEL. In the mean time the CEL comes back. I go back when they get the parts and have them check the CEL. They said they can't figure out what the CEL is but they cleared it and if it comes back to call them. It came back so I called for an appointment. Earliest they can take me is a whole month out. I leave a bad review and the GM instantly contacted me and convinced me to take my truck back to them. I took it back and they performed the substantial repair, requiring the removal of the cab off the frame to replace the engine harness. After two weeks I got my truck back with coolant dripping off the engine, both fender flares not clipped in, loose, and a fog light was disconnected. Back to the dealer, get a ride, waste time, etc. Today I picked up my truck and guess what, THE FOG LIGHT IS STILL DISCONNECTED. The technician marked "done" on the section of the paperwork stating "please inspect". HE LIED. What else on the inside of the engine bay, that I can't readily see, has he forgot to clip in? Torque correctly? Route correctly? Align correctly? etc? read more
