What happy serendipity! We were in Lexington for the Railbird Music Festival, wanted to start Sunday with brunch and found our way to DV8 Kitchen. We chose it for the convenient location and the resemblance to a NKY band by the same name. Don't let the counter-ordering process or cafeteria tray-paper plate service dissuade you. The food quality and quantity are on point and the prices are moderate. My husband rates the Southern Eggs Benedict among the best he's ever had. My Breakfast Plate scrambled eggs were soft and creamy and the large biscuit with honey butter was worth every carb and calorie. The coffee is excellent and we even splurged on their sweet-and-salty kitchen sink cookie. As if that isn't enough, DV8 Kitchen is a second chance employer for people in recovery and everyone we encountered was pleasant and hard-working. We wish them all success and we'll certainly be back.

Went on a Saturday for lunch time and the place was pretty crowded. Order at the counter. Friendly Staff helped with the menu. My husband really enjoyed the monte Cristo croissant sandwich. The southern eggs Benedict was good, but I didn't personally enjoy the fried green tomato.

Found it through Yelp and came right over. We both ordered the breakfast plate. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was just as I wanted, crispy! But the biscuit with gravy was the hit of the morning! Great texture to the biscuit and the gravy-delicious! The order taker was quite pleasant and helped us order. The food came out quickly and was hot! I'd definitely come back. Industrial looking but comfortable. Nice vibe here. Great place for breakfast in Lexington!

I'd give this place more stars if I could. First of all I chose to go here because they support hiring people with addiction issues that are in recovery. I'm a drug and alcohol counselor and this concept is amazing and should be in every city in every state. Then there is the food. Omg. So I tried the special of steak and street corn tacos, two in a serving and they were amazing! I also wanted to try the clam chowder but didn't want a whole bread bowl, they were very accommodating and let me just purchase a cup of chowder which was very good with chunks of goodness. Service was outstanding as well!

I found this eatery on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Based on the reviews, I expected a crowd, but there weren't very many people there on a Sunday morning. The parking lot is huge, and there is plenty of seating inside. The menu is on the smaller side, but there are certainly enough offerings to meet any craving. I ordered the French toast sticks and an eggs benedict, with a sweet tea. The French toast was the perfect example of crunchy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside. The accompanying syrup was great as it wasn't too sweet. The eggs benedict was ok. I would try something else were I to visit again. The biscuit was fresh and soft but not flavorful at all. I needed salt and pepper to accent the flavors. The sweet tea was semi-sweet. The staff seemed friendly enough, and the price point seemed appropriate.

Was sent there by a local to have their must have cinnamon rolls. Although they are a must have the breakfast hash recommended by the server is an absolute must! Gravy, meat, potatoes, green beans underneath, etc... so good!!

We wanted a good breakfast sandwich and figured we would take advantage of car and not be limited to places within walking distance of the dorms. This place was so good! It has a nice, busy, slightly artsy vibe. You order at the front counter, they give you a number for your table tent and then they bring the food out. It was surprisingly fast and service was friendly. We ordered breakfast plates, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, a honey siracha chicken sandwich, a chocolate croissant, tots and coffee. It was around $50 for four of us for a great, fairly fast breakfast. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was nice, plump and crispy and the sauce was very good with pickles on a flaky biscuit. The tots were well cooked and seasoned. The chocolate croissant was different because it was chocolate cream on top vs inside. It was nice and light and creamy. Even the coffee was good.

I came here with my husband and 2.5 year old son for lunch, and it was fantastic. The menu had a lot of options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My husband got tacos, I got a pulled pork sandwich, and we got their PB & J for our little guy. The PB sandwich was basically made on French toast, so he ate quite a bit of it, but the bites I got were the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The pulled pork was amazing without being too heavy, and the tacos were great as well. The service was so friendly and quick. The owner was walking around bussing tables, and seemed to know a lot of the folks who came in. I appreciate the concept behind this restaurant, and am so happy that not only is it run by such friendly people, but the food is wonderful as well! Will definitely return. read more

I stopped here twice at lunch - the first time only to sample their delicious cinnamon rolls - and yes, they were! I tried the caramel and the chocolate and they were both very good. I like the croissant flakiness. The next visit included a chicken salad sandwich on their house made bread which was also a winner. I would definitely recommend checking them out. As a bonus, DV8 works to train and employ people who have had problems in the past that make a new career difficult. I'm pleased to support a business that is making a real difference in peoples lives. read more

I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception. I've had DV8 a time or two and it's been good, but I branched out and tried some new things today and I saw just how talented the staff is with their food! The DV8 Grilled Cheese was just as delicious as I remember - but do yourself a favor and order the Chicken Marmalade sandwich on Brioche; it will be permanently added to my takeout rotation! I ordered the French toast sticks, and my the time my order was delivered (DoorDash) they were still crunchy and were not soggy at all, as I thought they might be. Lastly, I ordered the Soup of the Day (DD doesn't list what the soup is, but I decided to take a chance). When the soup arrived, I wasn't thrilled to try it - it looked very thin and watery and the color resembled muddy water.....but looks are deceiving! It's so good! I have no idea how that packed that much flavor into a soup that is so light. Can't wait to try the other soups! read more

Such a cute place with charm. Make sure you read about their mission, it's awesome. Food is delicious and there's a free bread station with jams/butter/honey FO FREE. You order and pay at the cashier and then they serve you the food. The chicken and pimento was divine. Seating can be fairly limited. read more

location is small but when it warms up they have a patio. A great experience, eggs Benedict was on secret menu and was a burst of flavors. My son had the best burger in town and he said it was true to it's name. Cinnamon rolls are very good and can have different toppings. The loaf of sour dough bread is just great, nice crust and soft in side. Definitely coming back. read more

This is such a great addition to Lexington! Prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is really good. Their breads definitely stand out with great biscuits and brioche buns. I love the station with sourdough bread and various butters, jelly, marmalade, syrup etc. Getting to watch them work on the breadline while standing in line is really fun too (and especially appreciated since I have two young kids). The last time we were here, the line was almost out the door, and I'm thrilled to see them doing so well. read more

Established in 2017.

DV8 Kitchen opened our first location on South Broadway in August 2017. Our East End location opened in August 2021.

They had a variety cup available so I ordered one of those. My toddler and I enjoyed all of the flavors. They were the perfect texture, slightly chewy. The Pistachio Tart was also tasty. We also enjoyed a cookie. The Iced Berry Tea was refreshing and light. On the way out I grabbed a Cappuccino and enjoyed their coffee. Next time I'm in Lexington I'll have this on my list for a return visit.

I've been here twice so far and both times the food was crazy delicious and service was friendly and professional. The huevos rancheros sandwich, biscuits and sausage gravy, and especially the all day burger were all excellent. I spoke with one of the managers who also took my order and told him I appreciate the quality of the food and service, and I wanted to tell him I support their efforts there. DV8 works to help people with a past of substance abuse by providing them with work and support so they can get their lives on track and hopefully have positive and productive futures. The sandwiches were served on a brioche bun and a southern biscuit, both baked fresh at DV8. The dishes were well prepared, with the burger cooked right to order with the scrambled eggs plentiful and not overcooked. The huevos sandwich was great for a late breakfast, and the sausage gravy was hot and savory without being overly salted. Prices are fair, with sandwiches and salads ranging from mostly $6-$7. My rating combines service, quality of food ,and their efforts to help others right their ships. read more

Great Food, but even better service! This business really stepped up and helped out a local hospital in a pinch. We ordered food from another establishment for a retirement party and they cancelled our order last minute and I had no food for 70ish people. I called DV8 in desperation and they delivered enough sandwiches for all of my people by 1130 am (I called at 10am). They not only delivered the food but helped me get it upstairs and set up.
