Keith came to my home on Sunday 11/3 to repair my vehicle, a tune up, with plans to return the following day to do more work on it. The truck was running like new. When I call, he acts as if there's a bad connection on the other end then hangs up. And now on 11/20, I'm stranded, possibly needing some repair on my transmission. read more

This guy is a complete scam artist, he took $580 from a 19 year old kid who had just got his first car. Came over at 11pm at night claiming after looking at the car he knew what was wrong with. Replaced the battery with a used battery which was supposed to be new. Then said he bought parts that he made up was wrong and the car started for one day. When I called him that the car stopped in the middle of traffic, he said it wasn't his fault and stop taking my calls. He never come when he's supposed to if you can even get him on the phone. Always has some type of family issues per him that keep him from coming at a reasonable hour. Never wants to give you a receipt if don't press him.. The guy is bad news and a scam had an old beat up white truck that leaks all over your driveway that he doesn't clean up. My neighbor almost called the police on him because he went on the side of my house and pissed. Completely unprofessional. New customers beware. read more

I was up the creek without a paddle a shock quoted me $1750 plus I had to tow my car up there. I took a chance and call Dyer Family in Auto, who is a fully mobile mechanic shop. I was expecting a guy to show up with tools in the back of his truck but the guy came to the parking lot where I was broke down in a fully mobile shop I'm talking he had a tire changer, balancer thing, air compressor. He did not charge me to come out to look at my car. That was totally free. so I figured it could not hurt. He came out. Look at my car did the same work and my total was $689 for the same work they were about to charge me $1700plus he told me I need some tires when I can afford it. Keith started out being a great mechanic. He fixed my suv along with my children vehicles including my sister's van. He was recommended by my neighbor whom when he needed his vehicle fixed but he had a hard time reaching Keith. Overall he is a good mechanic. Most of the time he is very hard to get in touch with. If you get in touch with he will say he is coming and he does not show up nor calls to tell you he is not coming. He was going to put either a new or rebuild transmission in my sister's minivan. He towed her van to his shop and have had for over a year. Several calls and texts were made including letting him know my daughter passed away and he did not respond. He finally responded and all my sister initially asked for some of her items out the vehicle. He said he would bring them but never did. After more calls and texts she called the police. They called Keith and he said he would bring my sister her van but never did. Now the police is preparing to escalate the matter. I feel bad for recommending Keith to my sister. Beware of this mechanic especially if he takes your vehicle for repair. If he comes to you he will do a good job if you can get in touch with him. I will let you know if my sister's van. read more

While I was in a bad spot Keith came to help was willing to work with me on any of my 3 vehicles also while he was slammed busy was still willing to go the extra mile and meet with me to scan my vehicle can't say enough about dyer family auto except very excellent response time and best pricing on labor and parts around. Oh and he won't sell you things you don't need immediately but will advise you of everything and lay it all out for you. FANTASTIC SERVICE! Dyer Family Auto is mobile! Keith Dyer brought his mobile garage to my cousin's home and quickly diagnosed the problem with her car... and then fixed it on the spot! He explained precisely what he had done, and also pointed out issues that should be addressed in the near future (particularly tires... and then he rotated the tires to make sure driving was as safe as possible until she could afford new ones!) He was very personable, and the price for labor and parts was incredibly reasonable, especially given the fact that he traveled to her! He is not only a certified mechanic, with years of experience and extensive automotive knowledge, he is just a great guy to deal with!!! UPDATE: Used his services again! Four brand new, good quality tires at a great price, fully warranted with a great protection plan! He again came to where the car was, and had the tires balanced and installed very quickly! my $750 was good enought for keith on 4/19 until he met me in person and saw i was a black woman i guess , because he then stood me up for out apt on 4/20 or 4/21 ....i've called numerous times and was promised all the way up until 4/27 that he would fix my car so i can get home to nc. he was referred by his family member after i was taken advantage of for $200 for repairs not made which is why i still need help. im a paying cash customer who has been stood up on apts made for a week and then was told i have other customers ill get to you when i get to you even tho apts have been made!!!! ...why can everybody else get service but me?? ive even offered to pay extra yet its wednesday and im still stuck 600miles away from home ....i might be a black woman but my dollars are green just like everybody elses .....im stranded in michigan after my husband died in a house fire. im a paying customer that just wants her car fixed so i can go home !!!! ....i have 2 other clients that need hundreds of dollars worth of car work done which i advised him of , but they are also black females so i'm not sure their business will be welcomed either. shame! especially for a " family" auto edit do not use this man ....2hrs after i left this review a tow truck pulled up to my home and sat behind my cars for 10 mins until i came outside and infromed them i called 911 ( a police report was made and keith was advised to have no farther contact with me nor come to my home ) ....what type of thug pulls up to a angry clients home in a tow truck and threatens to steal ur cars because hes mad !!!!! do not trust this man with ur address hes unprofessional & uses thug methods of intimidation when u speak the truth !!!!! not only will i not supprot this business but neither will the black community... as a widdowed woman having big angry grown man pull up yo ur home at 5am and threaten me is unreal ....p.p.o will be taken out at 8am because i dont feel safe now knowing keith is upset and this vindivtive and childish read more
