When our heating system broke down over the holidays, they still were able to have a guy come out on Dec 26 (despite being closed) to identify the issue and order us a replacement part. He told us what needed to be done to prevent it from happening again -- essentially the crazy winds knocked the cover off a unit off roof loose and water got in. They managed to secure us a part quickly and replaced in before we had friends come over for New Years Eve. So grateful for their help during the holidays. Cannot recommend Reyes enough!

I'll admit, I was skeptical at first but after speaking with him on the phone and learning more about his experience and heart behind the offer, I decided to have him come take a look, hoping maybe it was something simple. Udiel and his young assistant (who had the best smile -- I'm sorry I don't remember his name!) arrived promptly and got right to work. After assessing everything, he explained that a leak in the heater was keeping the pilot light from staying lit, even after relighting. Since the unit was installed in 2010, replacement made the most sense. I accepted his offer -- gratefully. The installation took a few hours, and there were a few hiccups removing the old unit, but they handled everything calmly and professionally. I now have a brand-new water heater with a warranty -- and hot showers again! Udiel has nearly 30 years of plumbing experience, but what stood out to me even more than his skill is his character. He showed compassion for my situation as a single mom laid off in October. He believes in karma and giving back -- locally and to Guatemala, where he's originally from -- and more than most people, he lives that belief through action. He helped me when I had no money and no hot water and that's something I won't ever forget. Kindness matters. Acts like his restore my faith in humanity and remind me that we really need each other. Doing good feels good -- on both sides of the exchange -- and I fully intend to pay this forward. I hope we all continue to look for small (or big) ways to do the same. He wasn't rushing, took his time to do everything correctly. It stayed within the price, quoted over the phone (I did give them a heads up, I thought it needed a freon charge). DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! This has been the biggest…read morenightmare I have ever dealt with. 1-they sold me a system that won't connect to an internet app (like Nest). The correction for this is for me to have to spend $500 more for an upgrade, and it still will only work with the Mitubishi brand APP, not Nest or any other integrated app 2- the installer hit my mailbox with their van, knocked the mailbox off the post. Then just picked it up, balanced it on the post and left without even telling me! 3- the loan company they use took the ENTIRE balance of the loan out of my bank account and would not correct it. Their office won't call anyone or offer any other help other than saying I should just call the robot number for the bank 4- after all this the system doesn't even cool my house. It takes 3+ hours and doesn't even get the house within 5 degrees of the temperature to cool it. It won't cool my house below 80 degrees. NO ONE SHOULD EVER USED THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I called Dave on a Friday around 2pm to discuss ducting replacement in my crawlspace. I had flex…read moreducting installed there by another Novato HVAC contractor during a furnace/central AC installation. I wasn't happy with the other contractor given they knew I have a shared crawlspace and keeping rodents out of it is a losing battle. Regardless, the contractor recommended flex duct for better insulation and noise control. The contractor said I didn't really need to worry about rodents because they probably couldn't jump and reach the ducting. So, that contractor removed my perfectly good metal ducts (rodent-proof) and installed flex ducts. My mistake, it was a few thousand dollar lesson learned. Rodents ended up chewing several holes through and into the flex ducts (repeatedly), camping out inside my ducts. Yuck. That's why I called Raven... So, Dave was at my place about an hour after I called him that Friday. He had a quote to me for insulated metal ducts about an hour later. The price was very fair for the job and I knew Dave came recommended by another contractor whom I trust. Given that, I agreed to the price and work. Dave's work crew was at my place the following Monday to install the ducting. Dave's four man work crew: Jacques, Isaac, Josh and Lucas is awesome. They arrived early, performed their work well and professionally. They were genuinely nice folks and communicative during my ducting installation. It was a straight swap of one gas tank water heater for another. That seems outrageous but their quote was in the ballpark with other well like plumbing outfits in the area. Seems all gouge for this type of straightforward work. EDIT: I see Bellows replied to my review. All I have to say is I've had many water heaters replaced over the decades and 2.5 hours to replace an existing gas water heater with an msrp of $923 should not cost $3600.
