We been getting food here forever for very long time so couple weeks ago we got dinner Mongolian chicken,chicken fry rice and chicken chow mein but we got it everything was ok opened chicken chow mein it was one piece of chicken n lil cabbage so my husband asked me what i ordered told him he said look I think this is mistakenly ordered so I called the restaurant they did tell me I did order chicken chow mein told my husband see I'm correct so from the restaurant the guy ask me what's wrong I did explain him then he asked me what can he do he can replace it I go I'm already home eating dinner can't make it back I'm far from the restaurant asked him I always come to restaurant to get food can I get @ that time when I order my food next time he told me sure so on Friday 11th 2025 i called to order some food n i explained him what happened last week on the phone he understood me correctly he nicely took my order he said my food be ready in 15mins when I got there that guy started to drill me like im under investigation??? The rest of food gave him cash to pay for other foods he money from me handed to a lady coworker told her something in their language that i didn't understand but seemed like he was pissed off lady came to the cash register gave me change like almost throwing @ me I took the change she started saying words to me I wasn't comfortable I just kept walking away I do understand them too this was my first time to complain I don't want free food but I thought they would like to know how employees take care of their customers!!! Wish I had taken pictures but I didn't had problems before never knew they be this pissed off too plus they don't give you receipts till you ask them I'm their long time customer sometimes I don't want receipts too it's a trust with my phone number they should know how long we being with them & see this was my first complaint.... I love this place for dim sum! Sometimes they don't have all the option available but every-time I go I am satisfied. Some things I recommend for first time dim sum goers are the lotus wrapped sticky rice as it has some pork and chinese sausage. The Shanghainese pork dumplings are delicious. As well as the pan-fried dumplings! On sundays they can tend to get really busy but they offer dim sum everyday! read more

Went here for my daughter's birthday. She loves dumplings and Chinese food so we had heard about this place and wanted to check it out. First I would just like to ask why is this the only restaurant in Modesto that does dumplings? it was awesome! Great time very friendly and quick. I was so excited to get all the food and try it out that we were not able to take pictures. Definitely going to be added as a family spot to go. The inside is old school and the have the spinners on top which is convenient when you have a large group. One last thing for the amount of food and for five people and with the way the price of food is now you definitely want to come here. We had four big sides and tried about five different clusters of buns and dumplings and drinks only for 100 bucks! You can't beat that with a stick!!! Don't do it. This place is a ripoff.!!! They changed their noodles to spaghetti noodles in their chow mien, very little chicken, and they changed the portion size on the chicken chow mein too. I called to ask a question about their chicken chow mein noodles. Be- we noticed the difference right away. The lady that answered the phone acted dumb like she didn't know what I was talking about, and blamed it on the kitchen and hung up on me. I guess she thought she was putting me on hold. I called back and spoke to a man and he said yes we changed our chow mein noodles to dry noodles. If they're " NOT " going to be consistent, we would rather order from Panda Express. We have only done takeout and delivery from this restaurant and have had a great experience. They are the one place right now we could find a peaking duck! Their service is quick and the food is delicious with plenty of variety of dishes. Couple of our favorite dishes is the Mongolian lamb or beef if you like spicy. The food here is delicious! My first time dining here was around 2010. Food has always been good... BUT..... they have the worst customer service. They are rude. I went last night 6-26-2024. At 730pm. We called before getting there to ask what time they close. The lady confirmed 830 although google stated 8, so we went. Our food arrived a little before 8. Without exaggerating the waiter came every 2 minutes to ask if we needed a box. As we are enjoying our delicious meal. He was doing that to a couple next to us that got there after us. Came to this place for dim sum last Saturday and after wait for almost 20 mins (after the waiter came and gave a menu without saying anything and left). He just greeting and serving the people came after and sit behind us. We end up had to leaved be cause after 20 mins no one came to order nor bring any water. My siblings and I met here today for my father's birthday. My dad and I from Calaveras County and my siblings and their families from Los gatos. It was well worth the 1.5 hour drive for all of us. Our party of 9 was welcomed warmly and seated immediately. We had a large selection of dim sum and some items from the regular menu. All are delicious. I grew up in San Leandro and my parents loved taking my brother and I to a place in Oakland on Fruitdale Ave if memory serves. That's where I fell in love with Chinese food. That being said, DyNASTY Garden is not my cup of tea. With the exception of the honey, walnut shrimp, (served without rice I might add........really?) the other 3 dishes we ordered were bland and a far cry of what I'd expect from a 'decent' Chinese restaurant. And the chow mien was a joke. A pile of noodles and hardly any vegetables. Heck, they didn't even serve tea, which I thought was a standard at Chinese restaurants, like salsa and chips are at Mexican establishments. And even the water being served had a horrible taste. Nope. Not going back here even though it's my nephew's favorite place........for some reason I fail to comprehend. BEST DIM SUM IN MODESTO! Very authentic, on the same par as the dim sum in SF. Such a nostalgic feeling when I come here! It's a small family run business and I am happy to spend my money here. The food is ... I'll say it again, AUTHENTIC , so it's very busy on the weekends for brunch which makes me happy that Dynasty is enjoyed by many. I usually opt for take out. Note that on weekends during brunch, takeout can take up to 40 mins but I have ZERO issues with that, just plan accordingly, it's 100% worth the wait every time! They usually have mostly everything on their dim sum menu. All my favorites are always available! I used to go with my mom brother and grandma to the Tea House in Chinatown, SF for dim sum brunch every weekend when I was a little girl. Coming to Dynasty brings back those wonderful memories. We ordered some dim sum, chow mein and chow fun. The food tasted good but took forever to come out. When we were almost done eating, my granddaughter said she wanted to eat some steamed rice. I asked one of the workers to bring me a small bowl and she came out with a container that had maybe four bowls worth. When I got the bill, they charged me $8.80 for the rice - ridiculous!! When I complained about it, the worker told me I should have asked for a cup of rice, not a bowl (grrr!). In addition, they added an extra charge for using a credit card. The food was good but lacking flavor. What I mean is that I ordered the Ginger Chicken. You couldn't taste any ginger in it at all!!! It just tasted like Szechuan chicken with mushrooms, snow peas and onions. I have order this many times before at other places and they always put chunks of ginger in it. I recently visited Dynasty Garden with my mom and sister on 2/17/24 for a family lunch. We were somewhat surprised that we were the only people in the restaurant and it was lunch time. We place our order sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice , and mixed vegetables. The food arrived at the table in about 10 minutes. The chicken and rice were cold, and the chicken appeared and tastes like boxed frozen nuggets. We called over the waitress to express our concerns and she said next time ask to taste your food before ordering... she was very rude. I would not recommend this place. You must try the sizzling rice soup! This is a Chinese restaurant where I've never yet had a disappointing menu item. The Mongolian beef is especially nice, with bits of noodle in it. Fried Americanized foods are beautifully fried. The tinfoil chicken is flavorful without being salty. Service is normal Chinese restaurant service, and this isn't a posh setting. I have eaten here many times pre-Covid and loved it. Great food, best Dim Sum around and good service. Last week I was in Modesto and ordered take-out, which included Ginger Beef. Two of my items were perfect: crab wontons and the honey walnut shrimp. The ginger beef was sorely lacking though because the food wasn't put in a traditional Chinese take-out container, but instead a foam one and they didn't wrap it in plastic wrap as most restaurants will do when there's a sauce. I put the take-out order in it's paper bag in a plastic shopping bag in my trunk. I'm so glad I did! When I got home everything was level, but all of the sauce on the ginger beef had leaked out and the dish was dry. Please Dynasty if using the foam containers that leak, then wrap the container in plastic wrap so that it limits leaking or better yet get chinese style take out containers for dishes with a sauce that can run out. read more

I mean, I ordered CREAM CHEESE wonton but barely any cream cheese in there. This is the worst cream cheese wonton I've ever eaten. I expected more from a place that has higher prices for Chinese food. I've eaten in the restaurant before and the food was fine, nothing special but I won't be coming back here because of this bad experience.
