Husband and I came here for the first time and it definitely will not be our last! Very friendly staff and even better tasting food! Jessica was our server and she was spot on! We came here with not a big appetite so we only came for drinks and small plates but we can't wait to try the rest of the menu! They have bar seating with draught and some bottle beer. They are building on their liquor selection but what they have right now is very nice! They also have patio seating with umbrellas. Open concept to the interior of the restaurant. My husband got wings and a beer and I got the crabcake sandwich and a mixed drink. All were scrumptious! I pretty much inhaled the sandwich and wanted MORE! Wings were tasty and nice sized! Fries were crispy and well seasoned. The catfish sandwich had two big pieces of catfish that was lightly breaded and seasoned. Prices are typical for a seafood restaurant. Would like to go back to try other items there. read more

My first time here! Just traveled from Oahu Hawaii, while visiting family they took me here and it's so ONO (delicious in Hawaiian). I'm so full and I have leftovers, cook definitely working hard back there to ensure a tasty meal! The Staff were fast, attentive, and very friendly!! We had waitress Marquita she was friendly and knowledgeable of what to order. The vibes make me feel like, I'm with family eating good and we can make it a party if we wanted to! I came in the day time for lunch, but it looks like the night time could get fun! It's a full bar as well so we were able to catch a cocktail along with lunch. The food was good but onion rings were cold. I ordered a crab cake and onion rings (no drink) and my bill was $21.39. The meal I got looked like it wouldn't cost no more than ten dollars yet I paid twice that much for what I got on January 11, 2024. Service was OK (Nice waitress) and no ambiance. read more

I got lucky today. I say that because I found The Dyson Seafood & Chicken restaurant quite by accident. I had missed my turn so I pulled into a parking area to turn around. That's when I saw the sign..Dyson Seafood & Chicken! Seeing as how I love both those things, I had to check It out, and man am I glad I did. The place smelled like grandma's kitchen when I walked in. Collard greens simmering on the stove. The smell of hush puppies and onion rings frying. And to top it all off, the owner/chef was a great guy. Helpful and easy to talk to. I got a seafood platter with flounder, whiting, home-made coleslaw, collards and some of the best hush puppies I've ever put in my mouth! And, it was enough for me, and my wife. A burger and fries are always my test for first purchase at restaurants. I was not disappointed. It was not the best burger I have ever had but it is probably in the top five eat out burgers. If I could rate one star, I would. I asked for hot lemon pepper, extra crispy. So disappointing! The wings were NOT extra crispy. They were HUGE and the fries were super greasy. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it certainly doesn't reflect on the food that we were served. Carlos and his Mama took good (SCRATCH THAT) excellent care of my wife and I. I can assure you we will be back again. I had the pleasure of having one of the finest if not THE finest cheesesteak sandwiches I have ever had and I will tell you I have had mannnnny cheesesteaks across this great land. I also had a Mac n cheese side which was very tasty as well. My better half had a delicious Crabcake sandwich with a delectable coleslaw side. The unfortunate thing for me is I am on vacation and will be in town for only 3 more days and I promise I will enjoy some more of Carlos's tasty treats before we leave. My only regret is he doesn't have a restaurant in Pennsylvania I could visit. If I am in this neck of the woods again, I will visit his new restaurant he will soon be opening in Carrollton. I am sooty that I am not a very crafty wordsmith, just treat yourself to some delicious food from a Maryland transplant that is an excellent foodsmith. You won't be sorry!!!! This little place has amazing food. We got the seafood platter with hush puppies, fish, shrimp, and crab cake, which is the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the Mac & cheese and I ordered cole slaw. These were both delicious as well. If we ever return to this area, we will definitely be returning here to eat! Do not eat here , payed for food and they didn't write it down so they didn't give me the food or my money , and the food my friend ordered the fish was nothing but fried fish skin, hush puppies are store bought clearly, slaw is a no go, Mac and cheese is oily , shrimp and fish cooked in same oil, payed 30 dollars and received barely a half pound of food, so not eat here spend your money somewhere with better food and service read more

I have been to Dyson's several times and it doesn't disappoint! I always order way too much-because everything I've had is delicious! But the CRAB CAKES are PHENOMENAL! My very favorite! I can NOT recommend this restaurant. I was visiting nearby friends & stopped by via my client saying the food was good. I think she said that cuz she may have been very hungry & her judgment was off. I ordered 8pc wings& 4pc fish with Mac & cheese, coleslaw & greens. Everything was horrible! Nothing was good. The wings was battered dipped in bbq sauce (gross) the fish was extremely greasy, soggy & not crispy. Both was supposed to be "cooked to order" however they both seemed to be old & warmed up b/c of the toughness & rubbery texture. I'm a foodie & cooking is a passion & in my family but this was garbage and not representative of any good soul food or seafood restaurant. The sides was even worse, the slaw was old to the point where it was soupy & turning purple from the red cabbage in it, the mac n cheese was dry & looked like they stirred around old Mac & recooked or heated it up, the greens had no flavor however it was very hot/spicy. Needless to say I hate to not give positive feedback to an up & coming biz but they really need to do better & take pride in their food & appreciate their customers by not serving garbage. PLEASE DO BETTER OR STOP STEALING PEOPLE MONEY. I spent $30 and ended up giving to my dog & he wouldn't even eat the chicken cuz it was soo tough & huge. read more
