Dyson is so expensive! My daughter agonized over our purchase for years. Every time we went to COSTCO she looked at the various models. About three years ago we finally found the one she wanted on QVC on sale. She wanted the stand this model has and the tools. I purchased it and I was borrowing it when I needed to vacuum. I'm really impressed by the amount of debris it sucks up from her carpet. Naturally I can borrow it when I would like but I can't vacuum now that I have cancer and I've aged. My daughter brings it to my small studio and uses it to help me clean. It's amazing what dust we do not realize is in our living space. Recently we needed a new battery. It was $100 and should last 3-4 years. Now we need to recycle the old one. I recommend Dyson vacuums. PS Sorry, my daughter's labor doesn't come with the Dyson! read more

There are two Dyson stores in Manhattan. I've been to this location few times as I love Dyson products. A few yrs ago I had an issue w my vacuum. It turned out that the battery I bought on Amazon was causing an issue with my vacuum, and the Customer Service rep warned me against buying on Amazon. Not all sellers are authorized resellers. Fast forward to today. I called to see if they have a product for my Dyson humidifier, and the Customer Service rep said they don't have it and she suggested I go to Amazon. Confusing much? I told her they might be authorized resellers and asked her if theres another location. She first said she'd transfer my call which is a simple task and then proceeded to tell me the phone number. When I asked if she could transfer me, she said no. This is not a big task and I found it quite rude and unimpressive esp since she sounded irritated. Not like Dyson from what I've experienced in the past *** It turns out that the other Dyson location has the product I need for my humidifier. Had I listened to the rep from 5th Ave me, I might've bought a non-dyson product when she simply couldve checked with the other store so that I could purchase a true Dyson product. read more

I was greeted upon entry. Sylvia helped me and did not mke me feel stupid or weak because my dyson was stuck and I could not open it. Neither could she, but she took it to the back for the manager to muscle it open. Unfortunately, my dyson's warrenty was over and it is old 2022, but I was offered a 20% discount as a past customer. Sadly, these things are too expensive and do not hold their charge after a while, plus get stuck a lot. I shall be getting a Shark. The guard did open the door for me on the way out. read more

Came in here to see if I could get replacement filters for my Dyson fan I have. I was greeted by the nice security guard and Saw some of the staff standing around so someone asked if I had any questions I said yes I was looking for replacement filters for my fans. The person then asked me if I knew the model number I said no but if I saw it I would know what it looks like. The person then pointed to the fans that were on display and asked if mine had a screen like the ones on display did. I at first did not know what the person meant by screens. Walked me over and showed me after two times asking me and I felt that this person was like annoyed at me for not seeing or knowing what this screen was. She then asked someone else who worked there and then turned around and said you have to buy it online. The store itself is nice with dyson displays around. But the staff could be nicer. Dyson's customer service is the worst. I purchased an Air Wrap product. It arrived when I was away on a safari. Upon my return, I tried my new Air Wrap. It was defective, the attachments would not stay in the Air Wrap. Walmart said it was past their warranty period, but it was still under Dyson's warranty. Dyson sent me a return sticker and promised it would be fixed within 21business days. They received it on 11/9. I called them 3X. The first 2X I was told it was being repaired and I should expect it shortly. After the the last call, lasting an hour and nineteen minutes, I was told that they had no record of anything in my name. ( I have proof of delivery, they received it. The first 2 calls acknowledged receipt ) The last person that I spoke to kept asking me " what other name do you use ? " I only have one name !!! It is now 1/11/26. To date, I have never received my Air Wrap or a letter acknowledging the issue. Seriously, I have never encountered such poor service. I will never buy another Dyson product. read more

I think this is a great store for someone who needed a new dyson product or a replacement, or even to try some products. That is, if the staff would help the customers. We came in to look around and the two staff at the front were chatting about meeting up after work the whole entire time. We were thinking about getting something but we value customer service highly. I'm not sure if they did not come up to us because we looked like tourists and they thought we weren't going to buy anything? Regardless of how we look, the employees should always greet their customers and show them products. Maybe we just caught them at a bad time.. read more

She is not tech savvy at all and he was so patient with her walking her through how to use everything. GReat place to stop in and check the latest offering from Dyson. If you're not a Dyson fan, don't go!!! You are going to pay a little more for Dyson products, but it's well worth it. I own two stick vacuums, one upright vacuum, three air purifiers heater/coolers, the hair dryer and curling kit. We walked through the store looking for something new and as expected we didn't find anything new or different than what we already have. The staff was nice and tried to get us to upgrade on items we didn't need, but that's sales! We will continue to stop in when walking around NYC, you never know what you may find! read more

Love love love my new Dyson airwrap system. I won't lie it took me 6 years to finally jump the broom and make the purchase but it was worth all of the $598.80 that I paid for it. I just wasn't sure if it was going to work on my hair but it absolutely does a magnificent job. The staff in the flagship store is wonderful and very helpful they even show you with a swatch of a hair strip how to use the product. The store is very busy so be patient it will be worth the wait. I was a bit nervous to purchase since two of the brushes were going to have to be mailed to me (call me a real nyer .....we trust no one lol). I had a virtual chat with a rep and the two flat brushes were mailed to me in a few days. This airwrap has cut down my hair styling time from 1 1/2hrs to 20 minutes and lessened the amount of products (3 blow dryer brush, flat iron & curling iron) to one with 2 attachments. The airwrap itself is my new best friend I have bouncy curls that last until I wash my hair again as opposed to having to wake up every morning and use a curling iron to get them back in my hair. I'm happy that I have found a way to do my hair and complete the process in a hair healthier way. No more split end from the excessive heat. It takes a bit of practice but after the first try you pretty much get how it works and how to achieve your desired style. I visited the Dyson store on April 12 around 6 PM with my boyfriend. When we arrived, we were the only customers there. We were greeted politely and asked if we needed help, to which we initially said no. A few minutes later, I changed my mind and asked for assistance, but unfortunately, the staff member who helped us seemed rushed and uninterested from the start. When it came time to discuss engraving options for my purchase, she didn't take the time to explain or show the available colors or designs unless I asked directly. Even then, she didn't seem patient or willing to repeat herself. They put you on hold and make you sit and wait. I was told I would have to take the stupid thing all the way to Nj or out East. If you live in NYC that's over $100 cab ride each way plus the tolls. Stopped here on 6/1/19 while out and about in the city. This is a cool little demo store that you can check out most of Dyson's products and see how they work, as well as test them out for yourself if you wish to. Usually, I see there items on QVC or on a shelf in a store, so this interactive experience was pretty neat. Only downfall, (hence dropping a star) was that one of the demos was broken and not marked that it was out of use. So here we are dumbfounded while checking this thing out, trying to figure out how it worked for like 5 minutes until someone came over to tell us otherwise. 4 days of chatting with Dyson customer svc to be told that they cannot provide repair service via shipping to an authorized dealer (since there is no location near me). Basically if I don't drive hours away to an authorized repair center, then my option would be to buy a new product. I was told if I buy a new unit I would get a 30% discount (being I'm a current customer). Then I was told that the price on the website is already discounted so that is the price I would pay. What about the 30% discount you just told me I could have?!! Nope - no customer loyalty is what it comes down to. I came in on Friday for a demo of the Airwrap (I already have the hairdryer, which I love). Emi was my stylist and she was AMAZING. She didn't rush the process at all - she took time to explain everything in a way I could understand and remember. She also let me try the various attachments myself with her guidance, which I found really useful. I have already recommended the demo appointment to multiple friends who are also considering getting an Airwrap. Added benefit: my hair looked amazing all weekend, and for only $50+tax. My only request for the Dyson execs: Let us tip the stylists! This experience was just like going to a salon (but better, honestly), and I really wanted to give Emi a tip, but she wouldn't accept it. I hope they change that policy for the future. I think it should be optional for those of us who like to show our appreciation in that way. read more

I returned a defective Dyson UPS. I have the tracking number and an email from Dyson confirming the receipt of the vacuum. They never returned the money paid. I have been on hold with them waiting for a supervisor for 90 minutes. The entry level person could not handle the inquiry. I will report this to my credit card company. Unethical practices and virtually no support. Never buy from Dyson. Follow Up to Dyson Message - They posted a reply but did not remedy the situation. I have had by far the worst dyson experience ever.... my dyson v8 had a major melt down literally it started sparking out of the switch and started smoking it burned my finger.. it was nothing major I guess but I contacted the warrant department was assured it was still under the warranty and not to have any worries they said 24-48 hours I would have a resolution and I was not a customer I was a part of the dyson family .... well I waited 4 days and had to chase them down spent hours on the phone they offered to upgrade my equipment for a newer version and blah blah blah told me to go find a box stuff this pos in it and send it to them and only after they received it they would take 18 business days to confirm and send me my replacement so by my guesses it would be a month before I would get my vacuume... not going to work I went out and purchased a shark vacuume I hope the shark customer service is better if I have any issues because dyson is really really dropping the ball.... read more

Only in NYC will you find such a store. This place is just like the name suggests. It is a spot to see the latest and greatest of Dyson products and even try them out. They really go out of their way to break down just how their products work. You will see literal cutouts of the products and even a GIANT scale of one of the turbines they use to push air. Employees are present to give demonstrations. There is even a mock styling station so you can use the hair dryers. Definitely on my list of cool places to visit. read more

I knew I wanted to purchase an Airwrap, and in lieu of buying on Amazon (like I do for every single other thing in the world that I purchase), I found this demo store online and figured I would give store shopping a go. This store is like 6 short blocks (streets?) away from my work and I kinda didn't want to wait till Saturday for delivery through Amazon.... mistake #1 I called yesterday morning to make an appointment for a demo on the Airwrap (as instructed on the website). On the phone, I was told that they would not be making appointments for any demos until after January 1 - but that I can come in at any time before now and January 1, and that I would be able to get a demo if a stylist was free and they weren't busy. At about 2ish I began my upstream walk to this location, which was horrendous and awful with all the idiot tourists.... I ALMOST just turned around and and abandoned my mission.... mistake #2 However, I was really wanting to at least see one in person before buying and I had a few questions about my dyson vacuum attachment (that isn't working all of the sudden after just purchasing - **annoying) and I saw you can get the case embossed for free if you purchase here. I finally get here, get inside and there are only two other pairs of people in the entire store - score! They are in the back looking at something else. I find the Airwrap (not even a single customer looking at it or in the area) and the "stylist" is there. I say I am interested in the Airwrap. I get a very weird vibe from the beginning. She shows me how the buttons work (duh) and then has this weird chunk of hair on a demo stand and curls it. I asked if I can try it out on my hair because I am interested in purchasing... she proceeds to step back, and then basically says "yeah go ahead...." ??? Like with the dirty floor model that is sitting there covered in cooties and that keeps re-curling the fake dirty demo hair piece. And there is NO MIRROR ANYWHERE.... It's now awkward and now I just want to leave - I felt a little "Pretty Womanish" and like I don't belong in a Dyson store lol. I told her that I don't have a mirror on me so there probably isn't a point - she says "yeah"... ? Then I told her that I called that morning and was told that if I come go to the store and it isn't busy, that I would be able to get a demo on my hair done. She says "no" and that I was told incorrectly because she is the only stylist and she is not doing any demos at all, no matter how slow it is in the store. She then asks "do you know who told you this..?" - which is dumb and annoying to even ask. I said a man did. She corrects me and says "gentleman"... More uncomfortable silence... I say I am just going to buy online like I should have from the beginning. She says "yeah"... and then I awkwardly leave... approximately 2 minutes later I ordered form Amazon (which has a promo for a free $50 gift card right now) and it will be delivered Sunday.
