This is a well deserved (and hard earned) 5 star review. Dyson's seems to give no *&%$ about trying to provide customer support. Call their toll free number - they force you to text or or hang up on you. Typing to resolve a technical problem is the worst. They sent a new part that didn't work - so they sent me to this service center. The service place isn't close to my house, has crazy short hours (open 4 days a week basically for 5 hours a day) and a phone that does not get answered. BUT MAN WAS THE GUY WORKING THERE GOOD! There was a line of very kind people and only one guy. He was fast . . . knocked out four of the five repairs in front of me within minutes. Diagnosed and fixed my problem in less than 3 minutes. Told me what was wrong (so I don't do it again - wash your filter and don't use it until it is bone dry) and sent me on my way. Had to wait 7 months for this place to open back up during COVID only to be told it would cost a MINIMUM of $250 to fix our $500 cool/hot fan that died in March. The guy was very nice but no way I'll buy another Dyson fan. We own two vacuums, a handheld vac, a hair dryer and the now-dead hot/cool fan. The repair was way too expensive considering the cost of the motor was an estimate. He did say MINIMUM of $250 if he could even get a new motor. No thanks! read more

I brought my Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuum in because the roller would stop turning and it had a burning smell. There were 2 people ahead of me and I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. The serviceman replaced the roller and one of the filters and it is now working fine. Both men working there were very pleasant. They are short staffed and are currently open 9-1 Tuesday through Friday. read more

A few years back customers service was great. Easy process. However, not my experience in 2022. The operating hours change frequently. I visited the service center on more than three occasions based on white piece of paper displayed on door only to find days and hour of operation changed again. I finally get inside, rep review my vacuum and indicates the part is not at their location but in stock at their Maryland location. The rep takes my contact information and indicated part will be received in 24/48 hours at my home. Nope. Two weeks later nothing. I call the service line and no one picks up. Eventually voice mailbox is full. A email address is provided via their voicemail. I send email with images and background no reply. This is unacceptable. read more

I dropped my dyson blowdryer on Jan 22. I was told when i dropped it off they will call me later that week with an update and price. I didnt hear back from them that week so i decided to gice them a call and after many attempts someone finally picks up and saids my dryer is in the que and they will call me by the end of the week with and update. I was recommended to come here after asking about warranty support on my Animal V7 at the Tysons Show Room. This place was easy to find in Google GPS and Waze. It was centralized to Northern Virginia. When I walked in the employees were in the back but the sound from the door entry alert let them know I was there. They welcomed me and asked me to wait in the waiting room while they finished up some stuff in the back. I was shortly greeted and asked about the troubles with my vacuum (suction related). The employee seemed to know right away what was the root cause. He asked me to fill out information on my product so they could look up the warranty. By the time I finished the paperwork he had my animal v7 back out to me working great! I suffered with it not working properly for months, as normally warranty programs are tedious and draining. I had a horrible experience here. I dropped off my vacuum for repair and was told I would hear back soon about the cost of the repairs and timeline but that everything should be complete within 3 weeks. Now, 3 weeks later, I have heard nothing and cannot contact the center because they don't pick up their phone and don't have an option for a voicemail. I had to call the regular Dyson number and wait on hold for hours and they couldn't even reach the Fairfax center, so there is still no resolution. This is unacceptable. read more

I took my Airwrap Dyson here on Nov 20th, where I was told they would send over a new machine and an email regarding this (exchange number, tracking info, etc.), since they didn't have any in stock (couldn't figure out what was wrong with it). It's been over two weeks and I haven't received any email and I've tried calling and calling for the past 5 days. I figured they needed time to sort everything out and it might take a while to ship, but not even an email was sent or an update on this issue. I tried contacting them, they do not answer their phone at all. I even contacted Dyson directly and they could not even find the exchange number for this, meaning they haven't even put it in the system. Disappointed. read more

Kelsey at this Dyson repair shop is amazing. Not only did she repair my vacuum quickly... she was handling a full store of 10+ customers calmly, politely and efficiently. I bought the Dyson Animal 2 vacuum about a year ago. I started having issues such as turning off and on several times, despite our efforts to clean it. It didn't work. I sent it in for repair, they fixed it temporarily and now I am having the same exact issue even though I cleaned it as they said. After spending half a grand on a Vacuum, it shouldn't need to be serviced twice in the one year. read more

The technician on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 was great. I had taken the canister vacuum in a month or so earlier for not picking up well. The grump there said it had suction and sent me on my way. The vacuum got where it clearly was spitting out more debris than it was sucking up. This technician this week replaced some part, cleared the head of an obstruction I hadn't seen and the vacuum works well now. Thank you, Dyson Service Center. I read on the website that I didn't need an appointment for service. I drove 30 minutes to the store to find it empty and locked. It was Saturday, July 31st at noon (both the website and the sign on the door indicated it should be open). No one answered the phone and there was no way to leave a message. There were post it notes on the door asking them to call when they opened. Four other customers came while I was waiting. One told me this was his third time coming only to find the store closed during operating hours. I loved my vacuums, I just wish I could get them fixed.., read more

After work, I decided to stop by Dyson center to get the duster bin replacement. There was just one lady ahead of me, but took just few minutes. I told the gentlemen I was here to get the replacement part for my vacuum and also asked how often I should service my vacuum. He advised, if I use the vacuum three times week, I need to wash the filter once a month. Today, did I not only get free dust bin replacement but he cleaned the filter on the house. Talk about service. The time I checked in and waiting about five minutes for the gentleman to replace the dust bin and wash out the filter, just excellent service. This place is amazing! We went and they were able to take a look at our cordless vacuum super quickly. They figured out the problem was the engine on the Motorhead immediately and was able to replace it. -Updated below- Based on the reveiws here, I thought the turnaround on getting our Dyson serviced would be the same day, or maybe a single day. So, when I brought it by on Tue Jan 7th, I was a bit surprised to hear them say it'd be ready by Friday, but ok, that's only 4 days later... I thought. All the vacuum needs is a cleaning, there's nothing wrong, works fine. Friday came and went. No call that is was going to be late. I called again, on Tuesday the 15th. Again they tell me it will be ready by friday. Another friday came and went. Dyson still hasn't called or texted an update. Tuesday, Jan 22nd, and I still do not have my vacuum returned, nor has Dyson's called to let me know when it will be done! I finally reached someone, who told me they were waiting (each Friday) for a order from Dyson of filters. Tired of waiting, I just picked it up partially cleaned. I can't blame the service center for the Dyson distribution problems. I have no doubt that the work here is great (I saw them replace a faulty battery on the spot, with no charge). But, they need to do a better job communicating with their customers when problems arise. They have no message machine. The number just rings and rings. They do not send texts. They say they email, but I never got one. Update: I shouldn't be surprised. Dyson's regional office was quick to correct the situation by calling me the next day after I picked up the vacuum, providing free-of-charge, a new system, which arrived the following day. This is a great company, and that's why I have used their products for the past two decades. I moved the rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. I'd move it to 5, but the service center needs to update its communication system. Well done Dyson. read more

Incredible experience. Pier was very knowledgeable and helpful. I thought this process would take... days... but it took 20 minutes to repair my cordless vacuum. I have mixed feelings regarding this store. The one time I was able to get in, the service rep was professional and friendly and offered a solution which unfortunately didn't solve my issue. I have since tried to come back 3 times only to find the store closed. The hours posted on the door are very different from the hours posted on Google and I've never been able to get anyone on the phone to confirm which store hours are correct. I'm currently outside the door reading the hours on the posted sign which state I'm here well before close, but alas, no luck today. I hope fifth times the charm but I'm not optimistic. read more

Holy moly. I brought my 7 year old Dyson vacuum in because it was ridiculously loud, still worked, but the noise drove me crazy. Popped in and they had a look at it. But the trigger head went out and stopped spinning and before buying a new one I called this Dyson store and what a discovery. Dyson call center provided hours of operation as M-F 9am-3pm. I went on Monday to find a printed paper with hours of operation as T-F 9am-3pm. I came back Tuesday at 9am and no one was at the store after waiting until 9:30am. I called Dyson's main call center number and they were not able to understand why no one was there and they also did not have any notifications of the changed hours of operation which no longer included Monday. There were several customers waiting outside and one gentleman mentioned that he was at the sales store recently and the sales folks stated this service center is extremely understaffed and wait times are very very long. I ended up asking Dyson to send me a replacement battery vs going back for a 3rd time. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience of trying to get assistance at the Dyson Service Center in Fairfax, Virginia over the weekend. I made 24 attempts to call that service center on Saturday and no one answered. I couldn't even leave a voicemail message. I don't know if there weren't any employees in the office or they just simply chose not to answer the phone. Twenty four attempts at calling makes me think it's the latter though. I then used the online chat on the Dyson website and was told by the representative that the Fairfax Service Center was open on Saturday from 9:00AM-5:30PM. I drove almost an hour to the Fairfax Service Center arriving at around 5PM and found that it had closed at 4PM. It's ridiculous that I could not rely on staff at the Fairfax Service Center or the online chat representative for proper assistance. I'll definitely be reporting this incident to corporate. For the amount of money that Dyson charges for their products, you'd think they'd offer better service to their customers. I guess I'll be going back to Bissell products. read more

After weeks of back and forth with Dyson's online customer service and being sent replacement parts only to have them fail to work, they finally instructed me to bring the vacuum into the service center. Once I did so, they took it into the back and had the motor replaced and it was working again within like 5 minutes! I only wish that I'd been told to do this sooner! Great service! I took in my Dyson Animal canister vacuum because the turbine vacuum head had stopped working. The appliance was still under warranty service. The location is in kind of a strip mall - business/office park. It was pretty easy to get to. I walked inside, waited about 60 seconds for someone to come from the back to see what I needed, after which time my vacuum was taken to the back for inspection/repair. I needed to go to another nearby business to drop off something else so I left. Twenty minutes later I returned and they had determined I needed a new turbine head, which they had swapped out for my old one. The friendly customer service agent handed me my Dyson Animal back - no charge - and I was on my way. Definitely recommend taking your Dyson there and if you're thinking about buying a Dyson - the warranty is great and so is the warranty service. read more

The gentleman that assisted me was very polite and knowledgeable about his work. I was in and out within 10 minutes, and he fixed my Dyson on the spot. I really appreciate how fast the service was! He said he noticed I lived a distance away from the service ticket I fill out, and he fixed my machine on the spot so I wouldn't have to drive an hour to pick it up the next day.
