This company also goes by the name E-Drains. (Same address physical address and when you call them, E-Drains is the company that responds to service calls.) When I called them, I thought I was calling George Baird Drain Service, a totally different company which is excellent and well-priced. Unfortunately, I was scammed. We had them come out to unclog our shower drain. They used an air device to pop the drain, but the drain appeared to be opened and working fine at that time. It only lasted 8 days, however, and then when I called to ask them to come out again, they told me they don't warranty their services unless they hydrojet. Hmmm. I did a little research, and realized this was not the same company as George Baird Drain Service, which always guarantees their excellent work. So, my bad for calling the wrong company. But also, this company does very poor work. I do not recommend them for unclogging drains. They also appear to be trying to trick potential customers by using the "Baird" name, which is fairly well known in east county San Diego as being associated with reputable drain cleaners. I have used E-Drains twice this year. The first time, both my husband and I were out of town. My mother in law, who was watching our kids informed use that all the drains were backing up. E-Drains was able to give me a quote for hydro jetting, over our chat and meet me right when I got back in town. I was given a 1 year warranty, which was honored last night when I had a problem with my shower drains. E drains was hired to repair a portion of sewer pipe due to a clog. They gave a year warranty. The property owner and me(tenant)were satisfied. Once I took over the business it started getting clogged again. They came out and power jet it. I thought it was good. It clogged again and they came out and showed me the NEW clog 2 foot where they replaced the pipe.he said it would cost a extra 5k to repair that clog. Wait! We paid 6k then i need to pay another 5k? I had a plumber I used before see it. He ran a camera and a cutting device to remove a plastic lid, credit cards, coins, bolts. Looked like from many years of build up. I called today and booked an An appointment for them to go clean a drain at one of my apartment buildings. They gave me a time from 2 to 5. No one showed up, I called back and they said they were running late and now it would cost double or triple to have them clean the drain because it's after hours. Even though I had an appointment from 2 to 5. When I said that they had never done that before and I've been doing business with them for 20 years they Just played dumb. Do not go to this company, they are banking off 20 years of great work by the original company. Thankfully I remembered that George Bairds was a 619 phone number. *Also known as E-DRAINS. Caution! I called this company thinking that they were George Baird Drain Services. There are NOT the same companies. We had seepage coming out of the outside clean-out. I called the company and they quoted $125 to snake the pipe (which we have had done before in the past due to roots in the cast-iron pipe). It was $75 from another company. We needed this done ASAP as it was day 3 of needing a plumber to come out. When the plumber (Edy) got here, he put a camera in the pipe and then proceeds to tell me that he can't put a heavy duty snake in there due to the clay pipe. As I didn't know any better, I took his word for it. He then quoted $5,200 to come out and dig up and replace the cast-iron pipe. I couldn't make that decision as I rent so I passed that information onto my landlord. Edy then tells me it's $150 for what he just did (camera and maybe a snake??). At this point there is a lot going on and I didn't have a B.S. radar on. Edy also left the sewage in the clean-out area which previous plumbers have always flushed out. Another plumber from a different company came out and snaked the pipe and took care of the issue for us. And he hit resistance which makes me suspect that Edy didn't even snake the pipe at all since it was only hours later. The pipe that needed to be snaked was cast-iron and the "clay" pipe Edy mentioned is the city's pipe which is under the sidewalk which was not the issue in the first place. The way Edy presented it was that he couldn't use a heavy-duty snake because the whole pipe was clay when all he really needed to do was snake the cast-iron portion. He was young, friendly and personable and I just took his word for it. I ended up talking to George Baird Drains later that day and they let me know that Baird Drain Services has taken their name to portray themselves as George Baird and get their clients by people assuming they are the same. The receipt that Baird Drain gave me said E-Drains so I'm not sure what that is about either. Hindsight is 20-20 so I won't be making this mistake again. Be Aware of this Company! They have the worst Customer Service- Front desk lady by the name of Linda is extremely rude. I have Homeowners Warranty of America and they are the ones that sent this company for my plumbing issues, after 3 trips, and 3 No shows- (unprofessional and inconsiderate of others' time) they only fixed half the issue and expect to be paid in Full. I still had to get another plumber to fix my issue. Dealing with this Company has been a nightmare. They were posing as this company and when they arrived they introduced themselves as Baird Plumbing only to find out when they asked for payment It was not Baird Plumbing at all it was E-Drains. They were called to just snake a clogged drain, which the drain outlet was on the same wall as cleanout drain, about six inches below clogged drain. They did not even make any kind of effort to try and unclog the drain. They just started to tell me that they needed to pull up my hardwood floors and jack hammer my foundation. When they told me that the work for that day was $125.00 I was shocked because in the past it only cost $40.00. That is when I found out that they were E-Drains who specializing in ripping apart your house for a simple fix. I had the Baird plumbing that I thought I was calling and they came out the next day, snaked my drain for $40.00 and I have not had a problem since 10/3/2024. I strongly encourage other to NOT use this company. I will also file a complaint to the BBB and CA state Contractors Board. read more

Edy's company was extremely responsive and the only one who was willing to give me a fixed estimate and also able to make it out the same day. Worst experience ever. I am member of a home warranty company that e drains works for. They got some technical issues on their web portal and technicians canceled our appointment without any prior notice. The staff who answers calls is really really rude ... she didn't explain at all and just said "don't call us" and hang off. A technician came to our house and charged us $75 and did not report the case back so we ended up calling Multiple times for couple days to the warranty company because the warranty company does not receive any report from the E-DRAINS technician. Highly unprofessional, unpleasant and rude. I don't understand why the warranty company works with e drains. We had a technician, Ahmad, sent to our home to snake our drain in our washer machine. Two days later, an unidentified man walked into my yard without introducing himself, stated he was with Baird Plumbing and looking for his employee, Ahmad. I let him know Ahmad was here two days prior and he left without providing his name. While Ahmad was here, he unplugged a freezer without my knowledge and did not plug it back in. Four days later, I saw the outdoor freezer with over $500 of groceries in it was off and food was ruined. When I realized this, I called to see who I could speak to about the issue and possibly getting some kind of refund or partial refund for the inconvenience of over $500 worth of food going bad. When I called initially, Becky was very helpful and understanding and said someone would call me after the holiday weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a phone call from someone just a few minutes later. Linda was initially polite, however grew increasingly rude and hostile. Told me I was probably wrong, her technician never unplugged it, she can't guarantee the man in my yard was from Baird (despite him stating he was), then said it was possibly a different Baird. Essentially, she did everything she could to discredit everything I said and had zero customer service. She got exceedingly hostile and rude and as someone who worked in customer service for over fifteen years, I told her I was frustrated by her tone. I asked to speak to someone else and she said "you can speak to me or you can speak to no one". This company is poorly managed, clearly unorganized, and has no respect for their customers. My husband gave this company an updated shining 5 start review. Unfortunately, it is not worth those 5 stars. Besides the price being completely outrageous, the plumber cut 2 holes in my garage, one in my laundry room and a huge hole in my cabinet. After my husband stated in his review that he was disappointed in the holes left, the plumber called my husband and said the company wanted him to fix the holes. He scheduled for Friday 12/16 at 8am, and he didn't show up until 1030am after my husband had to call him. First of all, his attempt to repair the holes is laughable at best. He put the drywall back in place, fine. However, he sprayed wall texture over it and left it. He only partially repaired 2 holes and dropped one drywall piece behind the wall. The cabinet hole is not fixable at all, and I will have to replace the entire cabinet. He said he didn't have the supplies to fix the other hole where he dropped the drywall, but he said he would come back Saturday or Monday. Well, here we are on Thursday 12/22 with one hole still open and zero communication. At this point, we don't even want him to come back because of the crappy job he did on the two other holes. I have resigned to fixing them myself. I'm not a contractor, but have patched drywall holes on my own throughout my life and if I had known that he was going to half ass the job, I would have just repaired them on my own instead of having to fix someone else's crappy work. He also made a gigantic mess in my garage, laundry room and kitchen and didn't clean up after himself. I have never had someone come and repair something in my house, make a mess, and not clean up after themselves. Completely unprofessional. 1 out of 10 do not recommend.
