But.. the chicken itself was probably THE driest I've had. I tried to revitalize the dish with an entire bowl of chicken broth and heavy heavyyyy dousing of the garlic sauce. No good. Duck noodle soup was tasty but unmemorable. My husband was hungry within an hour. Thank goodness there was a food stand next to the Thai "Costco". The lady who served us was really nice. Talk about a hole in the wall. Our group wanted to grab a bite before our day in LA, so we decided on some thai food. The location is a bit tricky to find and there is plenty of parking. The menu is straight forward and there is plenty of seating. Might seem a little sketch inside, and don't worry about that, the food speaks for itself. We got to order a plate of beef PAD SEE EW, chicken PAD THAI, and THAI FRIED RICE. They have a orange sweet/sour sauce that really goes well with our food. My goodness, the pad see ew tasted really well! I'm not sure what it was, and I think the noodles was flavored good. The pad thai was a little iffy for me because not sure why to my taste buds something was missing. For the thai fried rice, it complimented both noodle dishes because I enjoy having noodles and rice all together. Price points were fair being the fact that it is near LA Historic Park. Big and clean place. Food is good here. I have been eating here since 2010. They have never disappointed me. I love Rad Na noodle with pork ( wok fried rice noodle with gravy/sauce-stock+tapioca starch- and marinated pork). This dish is my favorite dish here. The gravy is so tasty, not too salty and not too sweet. Some places are way too sweet or too salty from the soy sauce. If you like more sweet, you can add sugar (while it is still hot). The noodle itself doesn't stick to each other much like other places. Also It is not too oily. Pork is soft and yummy! Tip for this dish **Try to add the vinegar with preserved chili from the condiment to get a little bit of sour taste** My other dishes I would recommend is Prik King over rice (add a fried egg on top! ). Prik King is fried Red Curry paste (dry curry...NO coconut milk) with meat and string beans. It seems like they make their own curry paste. Nice sweetness . I love the smell of their curry paste! If I am in a hurry I'll order for pick up. I would recommend Ground chicken Pad GraPow (stir-fried garlic chili basil) Also, add fried egg on top. Hidden gem of a Thai restaurant. I was very impressed by this establishment. It was clean and big. You know the owner prides himself on cleanliness when the light covers show no sign of dirt or dust. The bathrooms are maintained. Tables are clean. Located in the same plaza/lot as LAX-C wholesale they have ample parking. They accept credit card. Food was phenomenal for the price. It tastes authentic Thai with the char that permeates throughout your dishes. Duck noodle soup was packed with flavor. It hits you with a sweetness initially then comes in with a kick of spice. They definitely do not skimp you on the duck. We also ordered the fried rice and the crispy pork with broccoli. The pork was crispy and generous in servings as we'll with the pork soaking in the sauce that enhances its savory components. Service is A+. Granted we came in on a Saturday afternoon and there were only a couple tables of people, one lady was doing it all. She was taking orders, serving, and bussing the tables. She was very nice and sweet. For one person, she always came by to refill our waters and check up on us. Thank you for your great service. It just made me extra happy to enjoy my meal. This unassuming restaurant in an unassuming plaza at an unassuming part of town is FANTASTIC!!! What a hidden gem?!?! Very simple place but the delicious food more than makes up for the blah decor. The waitress is also very friendly and helpful with navigating through the menu. Their food is seasoned really well and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Crispy Pork with either green beans or Chinese broccoli. They also have extra seasoning/spices available on the tables so you don't have to ask for them. However the dishes I've tried were already well seasoned so there's no need to add anything else, except for extra spice if your mouth can handle that. There's some Thai decorations on the wall but otherwise it's very simplistic. There's lots of booths and tables. Their menu has a limited selection of Thai dishes including noodle soups, pan fried noodle dishes, entrees, meat dishes, rice dishes, curries, and desserts. There are three different types of curries here. This includes red curry, green curry, and yellow curry. For curries you can choose between chicken, pork, tofu, vegetable, beef, shrimp and seafood. For noodle soups, you have a choice between egg noodles, thin rice noodles, rice vermicelli noodles, glass noodles, and flat rice noodles. What I've tried here so far: *Khao Man Gai (also known as Hainan Chicken) - Beautifully presented! The chicken was tender, the sauce was good, and the rice was soft. The sauce is a mixture of fresh ginger, soybean, thai chili, vinegar, and soy sauce. *Duck noodle soup with choice of flat rice noodles - The aroma of the duck broth smells so good. There's generous portions of duck and flat rice noodles. The duck broth was incredibly rich in flavor and it ran down smooth. It was amazingly delicious. Duck was tender and flat rice noodles had perfect texture. *Yellow Chicken Curry - Coconut curry flavor was fantastic along with tender white meat portions and tasty potatoes all of which absorbed the flavor really well. *Papaya Salad - The papaya is fresh and crunchy with the flavors being sweet, sour, and spicy! The menu consists of only 10 items. There are popular Thai dishes like duck noodle soup, pad see ewe, pad Thai, and pork leg. So, you're probably going to find something to try but will you like it? E-Sea Fresh is new which probably explains why the place is deserted. There was only one other person here for lunch besides us or was that the busboy. Then again, it's not easy to find behind the iron gates that surround the complex. Yelp states that they're open until 9pm but they actually close at 5pm so you're probably looking at having lunch here. The service was friendly and prompt. The food could have been way better though. I ordered the Hinan (as spelled on their menu) chicken and it wasn't exactly Hainan nor was it necessarily Thai steam chicken over rice. The dish consisted of a simple slice of maybe five pieces of all white meat served over regular steamed rice (not the ginger rice you'd expect if it were a Thai dish). The chicken had no hint of garlic or ginger whatsoever. It was as plain as it comes and it was served with the Thai garlic/chili/soy sauce for the chicken and not the familiar ginger soy or sweet dipping sauces you'd expect of a true Hainan dish. Meh. The Thai ice coffee was good though! The duck soup is a must here! They are generous with the duck, the fat rice noodles are fresh, the broth is light and not salty at all. There's a couple of options for the noodles, but I recommend the fat rice ones. The toppings of green onions and bean sprouts give the soup a great balance and texture. There's 4 different spices at the table to spruce it up if you like- I did so with the crushed red chili flakes and others did so with as well and added jalepenos. This is the perfect place for spicy food lovers. I ordered a Thai Iced Coffee and it was okay so not sure I would get that again. The service was good and quick, the place was large and clean and there's parking in the lot that's one direction so kind of a pain to get out. It's a no-frills Thai place that my dad and I go to whenever we shop at LAX-C on a Saturday morning. I like that it's open early (9am) so I don't have to drive all the way to Siam Sunset if I want Thai noodles for breakfast. They're specialty is their duck noodle soup which is braised with Chinese spices. If you don't know what to get, then get that. The only thing is that last time we were there, the noodles were boiled too soft. I've also gotten their Kraprow Muu Krob, which is crispy pork belly stir fried with chilies and Thai Basil. This was excellent; green beans were nice and crunchy, pork belly was crispy, and it had a nice heat going on. It's a good way to start your day with a kick. I wouldn't get the Thai Boat noodles. The pad thai actually has a good balance of flavor (not just really sweet) and I love that they give you a lime so you can squeeze it over the noodles. A lot of places don't offer the lime and the flavor ends up just being one dimensional. The lime creates a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour. The noodles are also chewy and springy (not soggy which happens when overcooked). The duck noodle soup is soooo tasty! The broth is so flavorful and a bit spicy. You can choose the type of noodle you want and I usually get rice stick noodle (a.k.a. pho noodles). The duck itself can be a bit dry but I still like getting this dish because the broth is on point. Prices and portions are decent. A plus is that this restaurant has a FREE parking lot! I usually don't have any trouble finding a space at lunch. If you know DTLA, you know how great and hassle free that is. I'm down to come back again and try some of their other dishes! read more

On those days when soup is a craving, I like having their hot & sour (tom yum) soup. Mouth is watering just thinking of that spicy flavor! Service is always friendly and attentive. Seating indoors is aplenty and we've never had trouble getting a table. As for parking they have a small private lot shared w/ the rest of the businesses nearby. What a gem in Chinatown! I came here for a friends graduation and it wasn't it a disappointment. Number one recommendation is the PAD THAI! It was seriously the best I ever had. You can actually taste the tamarind and it was a huge plate also! I had the tomyum here also and it was hot and perfectly sour! Their curry here is pretty good also. It's rich and creamy. Loved this hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant! It seems to be in a small Thai strip mall surrounded by a Thai grocery store, with tons of signs asking you to go travel in Thailand. I love this place because I can get tasty Thai food without having to drive all the way to Hollywood for Thai Town. They have basic dishes like curry and noodles, but no papaya salad though. It's in the same plaza as LAX-C market and Chimney Coffeehouse. I've gotten the Rad Na and Duck Noodles and enjoyed them both. Last time I was there, the hours were only until 5pm, so it's good for lunch. Looks like I'll still have to trek to Thai Town for late night cravings. Oh, and FYI, the name is totally deceiving. I thought it would like a banquet Chinese restaurant since they have the "seafood" in their name. They actually have the room and space to do so. However, most of it is used for storage. Authentic & oh soooo good! We had Kao Man Ghai (traditional boiled chicken, broth and chicken rice) and I was transported straight to my favorite soi corner eatery. The lovely server lady was gracious and asked how spicy I wanted our food and brought the extra spices on the side. The Pat Thai was spot on as well. Not overly done or smothered with egg. This spot is located in the LAX-C parking lot off to the side. I love their duck noodles there and it's something that I always have to get. Their prices are reasonable and they are keeping clean during covid. No on is allowed to dine in but there are tables outside that you can sit on. Service is also great and the time it takes to get your food is pretty quick. We usually go on the weekends too. The only downside is that they close early. read more

E-Sea Fresh Seafood is not a seafood store. Rather it's a restaurant with 12 items on the menu. They're located in the same plaza as Lax-C. I wandered in after seeing their signs for duck noodle and underneath in Thai, it says they are known for all their noodle dishes. In Thailand, there are a lot of restaurants that only have a few items on the menu but they're usually one of those made-to-order places where you can pretty order anything other thing you fancy and they will make it as long as they have the ingredients on hand. I thought this would be the case for E-Sea but no, you just have to pick from one of the choices. I ordered the tom yum noodle to go. It looks really promising with all the right ingredients. The problem is the soup was horrible. It was crazy sour to the point that it wasn't even edible. Without the sourness, the soup wouldn't had tasted like anything. The store is a mess inside. One side of the restaurant has tons of stuff piled up and they block it off with this paper screen partition that doesn't cover anything. They're opened till 5pm. I don't see the point of opening after 2:30 or 3pm if you're not going to open for dinner. I went in at around 3pm and all the employees were sitting around eating in the front. read more

TIP: EAT THE DUCK NOODLES! OK, the reviews on the page are a little confusing. This is a Thai noodle restaurant that makes the BEST duck noodles I have had in the US. According to my wife, who is from Bangkok, their duck noodles rival anything back home for her. Like many restaurants in Thailand, the dishes are simple and few. The taste is incredibly authentic. The noodles are very tasty and fresh. Tip #2: I love fried oysters (Hoy tod). It a special they have at time. Again, very authentic. Still not as good as the duck noodles, but really hard to find even in LA. If you happen to be in the area, make sure to try the duck noodles. You won't regret it. read more

So I was just here a while ago during lunch hour. I got the seafood rice and my friend got some noodles. We decided to dine in. Once we were leaving we told the waitress goodbye and thank you and she told her coworker "thank god" that we left. I thought it was pretty rude and disrespectful of her. Whenever I'm craving thai food, I always go to this place cause it's only an 8 minute drive away ~ The pad see ew here is definitely one of the better pad see ews I've had! ^_^ And the red curry is pretty good as well -- it's not as thick as other thai places but it's still pretty good! I also tried the duck noodle soup for the first time ever here :o it was an interesting taste and it wasn't bad at all! Tons of flavor in that soup!! Parking has never been a problem here and the service is pretty quick! If you're ever in East LA or downtown LA and are craving thai food, I would highly recommend this place! :) read more
