We need a rental for a day trip when we were staying in National Harbour. This location which is 5 min walk from our hotel. We arranged to pick up our rental at 8 am and able to do an overnight off hour drop off. This is perfect as it saved us time and unnecessary overnight parking charges. Location is a little tricky to find. Best to ask hotel staff for directions if it is your first time. This will save you a lot of agony. The small counter is located in the 2nd floor across from the parking garage. There is only 1 person working so basically she has to everything including cleaning the vehicle after rental. Don't be surprised if there is no one picking up the phones or even anyone be in the office during business hours. Eventually I did talk to the staff and able to confirm my reservation. The rental process was smooth and fast. After some paper work we on our way in 15 minutes. Dropping off was straight forward, as we just parked the car at the designated parking at the parking garage on the 5th floor and put the key in the overnight key drop in the rental office. The rental though was not in good condition. The interior was dirty. The exterior was all scratches and dents. I was a little worry that they might make me pay for some of the previous existing damages. Luckily I was charged the amount as agreed in my rental agreement. With the limited car rental companies in the immediate area, Hertz is probably the best and the only option.

When it was my turn, it was apparent through my interaction with the rental assistant that the staff needs customer service skills training badly! When I went to the car, there was an attempt to skip over the inspection of the vehicle...umm, no! I had to make sure all dings and scratches were noted! When we opened the car door, it was overwhelmingly obvious that there were no efforts to clean the interior (or exterior including Windows) of the vehicle. In addition, there was only a quarter tank of gas in the car! What??? It gets better...as we drove down SOUTH through the land of attentive highway patrolmen, I opened the armrest to discover obvious residue of marijuana! I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism ever! There is more, but I just don't have the energy...

Quick trip out of town for family problem. I called to reserve a full size or SUV on Thursday. I…read moreneeded it for Friday. When I went on Friday the only car available was a mid-size. I had no choice. After picking it up I immediately headed out of town. Strangely that same weekend my credit card number was used in the local area for pizza and drinks. It seems that they were call in orders that only needed the number, not the card. I reported it to my credit card fraud number and they are investigating. I was out of town for over a week. When I confronted the rental office they said that they only keep the last four numbers on file. I told them that someone had access to all of the numbers for the rental. I'm leaving it up to the police to check it out but this finishes my dealing with Enterprise. I'll never trust them with my credit card again.

As an executive member, I was disappointed in the selection and time it took to get a vehicle. When I finally got the vehicle, the car was covered in water spots which made it difficult to see when driving into the sun. I think I used almost all of the washer fluid in 4 days. Upon return, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. This was the total opposite of the arrival experience. So 3 stars with 1 for arriving and choosing a vehicle and 5 for the return.

From the start, the process was smooth. The shuttle from the airport to the rental car depot was quick and easy, and the real game changer was using the "skip-the-counter" option. I signed up through the email link--took a couple tries to go through, but once it did, it was seamless. I went straight to car pickup without wasting time in line. I won't be going back to the counter again. The moment I walked into the lot, I was greeted by Isiah, who was cheerful, professional, and exactly the kind of person you want to see after a long flight. I even told him how refreshing it was to be welcomed by someone genuinely smiling. He quickly scanned my barcode, then WALKED ME TO my vehicle options. He took the time to explain the pros and cons without rushing, and together we landed on a Hyundai Tucson--which turned out to be the perfect choice. Practically brand new with under 400 miles, clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. Checkout was fast and efficient, and I was on the road in minutes. When I felt a faint smell of cigarette in the car they assigned to me, they quickly changed it for another one. I realize this place has some bad reviews from a few years ago. They don't reflect the quality of the service now. I will continue to look for this location when I search for car rentals. It is a bit out of the way for me, but the service is worth it.

This was my first time using them because it was close to the shop where my car was being serviced. Although they had few cars available, I still gave them my business. While driving I noticed the vehicle sounded and felt a little funny. Shortly after, the tide blew. They have the nerve to try and charge me for the raggedy tie that blew. I should have known something was odd because when we did the walk around, the guy told us the spare tire is in the trunk. They also said we used of 800 miles.
