As I had no other way to verify this, I took them at their word and accepted their explanation. For full transparency, however, it is worth noting that this communication came less than 24 hours after I had posted my initial review. The repair technician arrived at my home the same day, and spent approximately 90 minutes going back over the previous repair work and going much more in-depth in this second go-round. After completing the work, he explained what he did, what he found, and then ran a cycle through my dishwasher. The next day, I ran another cycle, and the leaking issue had been fixed. As I am someone who does believe in giving people and businesses second chances and opportunities, and because I have seen them perform excellent and professional work before (see my original review), I am likely to give them my business at least once more to see that this experience is an outlier and not their typical course of business.

About a week later I received a call from the tenants saying the door to the oven wasn't closing properly and the oven wouldn't maintain temperature. I called Appliance Geek back and left a voicemail explaining the issue; never heard back. Called back many times over the next week and left many more voicemails, still did not hear back. I visited the unit to see if I could fix it. The oven door hinges were bent - I assume done when pulling the range out from the wall. I've now had to replace the range and am out a significant amount of money. Poor experience and doesn't seem like they'll stand behind their work. Will avoid in the future.

I told him the sound it's making seems to be the pump....so he said he'd order both parts (!?) BUT couldn't give me a date of when it would be here. That was two weeks ago. I just checked the claim status and that the service was reported as COMPLETED by the technician and the problem RESOLVED, and that there is no part on order...?! So not only is my $890 dishwasher dead before it's first birthday, but the $200 warranty I bought just resulted in the tech closing the claim to get paid without fixing the issue or even ordering the parts. The end result? I get to start over, with a new service rep, and I guess just cross my fingers that this one will be better? HORRIBLE service, all around.

The technician spent about 5 minutes looking at it and while he didn't seem to do any diagnostics he said knew what was wrong with it and that he'd order the parts and follow up soon (control board or perhaps a temperature sensor, he wasn't very clear on the details). Several months went by without any followup, and our oven still doesn't work correctly. I finally got ahold of someone at Appliance Tech, and they say that no parts were ordered and that we should contact our warranty service directly to schedule a new appointment. I'll make sure it's with a different company this time. Avoid Appliance Tech at all costs.
