Tonight we ordered take out from Eagle BBQ. We had two brisket sandwich plates, one with beans and one with cole slaw. My daughter had the bbq jack fruit sandwich with cole slaw. It was all supurb. Really top notch. We had never had jack fruit before but now we are sold on it. We put some of the slaw on our sandwiches and the combination was really good. The brisket is very good, and I've had some amazing brisket! The ribs and pulled pork is good as well. I dont love the way the fries are seasoned, but you dont go there for the fries, so.. we were also very happy with the prices for the value. The customer service at this place could not be worse. Every employee had an attitude and rushed my family when there was no line. While paying, I asked about another side and the cashier went ballistic on me saying "ask him, why would you ask me, I only asked you if you wanted a drink" and very rudely called him over. They shot us nasty looks for just ordering. The food is mediocre and super expensive for what it is. If you're only going for a cheap beer, go ahead. Other than that, the dark looks you'll get and contempt for taking too long is something you should take a hard pass on. read more

Best BBQ brisket outside of Austin!!! It's a must stop for lunch after pounding the slopes all morning. Don't forget to try the mac and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans as your sides. I came here not expecting much and I actually was really surprised on how good the food was. The brisket literally fell apart as I ate it. And the other meats were very tasty. One recommendation: may be a little bit more smoke on the meat. But, over all four stars. read more

What a find in a ski area. Normally ski "villages" are not known for their food because most restaurants don't need repeat business to survive. I didn't have high hopes for this place so we tried a take out order of ribs one night and was pleasantly surprised. The ribs are smoked right outside the restaurant and fill the central village area with a wonderful aroma. The bark on the ribs was great, good smoke flavor, nice texture and plenty tender. They completed the ribs with a healthy portion of their homemade sauce which was also great. Not too sweet or spicy. If I had to make a complaint on the sauce it would be too much celery flavor. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke we ordered another rack and a brisket the the next night. Once again, it was great. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Daryl and the team at Eagle BBQ are amazing! They did the rehearsal dinner for my wedding in August and absolutely knocked it out of the park. Their meats are delicious, the corn bread is the best I've ever had, the atmosphere is welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this place and its staff. Tucked away slope slide of Copper Mountain is the best BBQ in Summit County. They have arcade games for the kids, an outdoor patio looking over Center Village, and the service was top notch. It's like $17 for 1 meat ( I forgot the exact price of 2 & 3 meats). $17 may seem like a lot but it's really great fall of the bone bbq. Didn't have high hopes for this place after trying several other restaurants on the mountain, but it's surprisingly good. We had a 2 meat platter, chili and a sandwich. The brisket and pulled pork were good. Mac n cheese tasted instant, but good for kids. I didn't have the chili, but my family said it was the best. Good atmosphere too! read more

I visited Eagle BBQ for the first time this evening. This was some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten. I ordered a platter with the brisket and it was delicious. The brisket was thick and was so tender I could cut the meat with a fork. The restaurant was very clean and is conveniently located next to the "Burning Stones" plaza. If you visit Copper Mountain, stop for lunch or dinner at Eagle BBQ. You won't be disappointed. read more

BBQ is above average and the sides are tasty and while the price point is on par with what you'd expect (resort, location, etc) I can't say I'd outright recommend this place either. I'm originally from the south and perhaps I'm particular about BBQ (most people from the South are...) but I felt their ribs were too dry and their pulled pork reminded me too much of pork carnitas with BBQ sauce. Some may love it but it wasn't necessarily my preferred style of BBQ. I'm sure I'll be back at some point to give it another whirl and hopefully up my review. Hopefully they'll up their portion size by then too as I walked away still hungry after an active morning on the slopes. read more

Good Food and drinks at the base of Center village with great views of the mountain and skiers. I do not know the owner of this place or anyone that works here. I read the reviews on yelp and the other popular review site before and after I came here with my wife. It strikes me that the owner worked(s) his/her tail off to make this place what it is. I respect and appreciate what he/she has here. I have been smoking meats on stick burning custome built smokers for 27 years and do competitions when I can. My dad builds the smokers and he and I will be in the 2nd annual Sergio Garcia memorial cook off here in Texas this weekend 3/23-3/24. There are so many styles of BBQ out there and so many variables that determine the outcome of the meat that I am not about to get into but I will say I was here in Copper all week and this place stayed on my mind and had me craving BBQ... and Beer. I love his/her Beer specials sign on the tailgate of the truck at the entrance to Center Village. Someone has ambition! The food was all very fresh. The Brisket was good and flavorful, ribs are classic fall apart back yard bbq. The fries are original and very good and the coleslaw had a hint of black pepper flavor that kept calling my name all week and this was the most FRESH coleslaw I have ever had. My wife had the chopped beef sandwich oh and we loved the crisp delicious sliced pickles. He ( I assume He) Maybe the owner is a she? but he/she has the best location and a great system. It has a small bar area and a family area and a patio. I think they told me that mine and my wifes beer was just $1.00 with the meal. Drink specials and that wood smoke rolling across the village. Nothing is perfect but this is a great place. Now for those that want to read on and I know no one likes to read long entries: concerning some of the other reviews. I have to put in my two cents. I cannot resist. I too have made smoked pork butt on many occasions and pulled it and put it in containers to have so many people (that really do not know BBQ) eat it and say Wow this is good brisket. It looks almost exactly like brisket (when they are pulled into shreds) and yes it is clear to see the two different colors of meat on that sandwich (pulled pork and chopped brisket) and my last topic and I will hush. If you get sick after eating at a restaurant, call back and ask if anyone else has reported being sick to them. If 15 to 30 people all say they got sick then the restaurant will not run from that. The restaurant is prepared for bad luck and are insured for this. For someone to say they got food poisoning at a restaurant simply because that was the last place they ate is asinine. And not cool. This is someone's livelihood and family. BTW food poisoning will last longer than a day or two. You most likely caught a bug or virus on a hand rail 3 days before you ate at some innocent and unassuming restaurant. (Unassuming meaning: Not pretentious or arrogant but rather modest. Earning a living for his/her family. Again I do not know anyone that works here nor the owner but I stand by the fact that this food was as fresh as I have had. It holds up to the freshness of a place called Soupz On in Breckenridge. Another place I cannot help but Extol its greatness. Congrats to you Eagle BBQ! read more

After a long day on the slopes we decide to stop in Eagle barbecue to have a bite to eat was very impressed with the way the place looks super friendly staff really enjoyed the charging station the oxygen bar but we did run into a bit of a weirdo at the bar but other than that everything went smoothly also just a tip I think they should give two pieces of bread on the two meat combo because I mean I did pay almost $25 for a meal but other than that it was really good read more

I grew up in Texas, so the BBQ bar is high. My son and I discovered Eagle BBQ after a morning of skiing, and the restaurant delivers on all fronts. Literally steps off the slopes. Amazing brisket and pulled pork -- tender, falling off the bone, and perfect flavor from the smoker just outside the restaurant. (Sausage links are fine but could use a bit more heat for my taste.) Tangy, just-right sauce. Combine that with super-flavorful mac and cheese and potato salad and it was enough to get me and my son back in the car for the 40 minute drive from Beaver Creek for a second trip in three days. Best kept secret for families is the downstairs seating area with plenty of space to spread out or warm up by the fire. On a sunny day, the outdoor patio is the absolutely perfect spot to watch skiers and enjoy an afternoon drink. One of the friendly gents behind the counter asked my son if we came back for a second day of skiing. We actually came back for a second round of Eagle BBQ, and figured we would stick around for a few ski runs too. read more

We were so excited to try a new place at Copper Mountain and we were not disappointed when we enjoyed dinner at Eagle BBQ.
