This place is really close to The Hammer museum by UCLA. I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday at around 2:30pm and there were two people manning the store. Both the guy and the girl were incredibly friendly, professional, patient and helped us 3 get exactly what we wanted. I went with a large (4 scoops) poke bowl and my two friends each had a medium. The key element for every single poke shop is the freshness of the ingredients, and this place was no exception. Both the protein and the veggies were as fresh as they could be, chopped/minced/cut to perfection and with a great presentation. The actual store was clean, quiet, and a perfect place to eat a calm lunch. Then we had some of their mochi (there were only two flavors left) which were pretty good. 10/10. Ordered delivery via Uber Eats. I think it's overall good. The price is standard for the city. The mix in and side options are different than other spots, at least if ordering online. For example, you get two sides which include options of imitation crab, avocado (extra $), edamame, seaweed salad, squid salad or tamago. You get up to 5 mix ins which include cucumber, red onion, cilantro, pineapple or corn. For many other places, the options of "sides" are included in the mix ins. But I guess their mix ins are literally items that are mixed into the fish. I think the fish tasted really fresh but the mix in portion (as you can probably see in the photo) was really watery. So it was kind of a lot when eating the meal. I do think the amount of fish given is good (not necessarily generous or abundant but better than other spots). read more

Reasons why this spot is amazing: * extremely fresh poke (for the main fishes like salmon and tuna. The octopus can be a little old) * tamago & spicy imitation crab & seaweed salad (& pineapple) are available as toppings. * good variety of sauces (yuzu ponzu, yuzu wasabi, eel sauce, spicy mayo...etc) * the small bowl + two salmon handrolls was surprisingly enough to fill me. This is my favorite poke place in Westwood!!! I have tried other poke places, but Poke Me provides a much better portion size. I also feel that they have a lot of toppings and options that all taste good. I typically order a medium bowl. It is decently sized and usually makes me feel full after. My go-to is half white rice, half salad, and whatever I feel like adding on top that day. My favorite protein options are salmon, albacore, and scallop. I like how they have a lot of options that they don't charge extra for. Also, many other poke places limit the amount of sauces or mix-ins you can put in, but Poke Me doesn't. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times, but the interior makes it feel more like a takeout place. I usually just order as takeout because the restaurant is little bit far from where I live. The servers are great at their job, and I can order and leave with my food in 5 min if the restaurant is not busy. Poke Me is a casual poke spot right off of Westwood Blvd. It has a cute interior with tons of natural lighting with it having glass walls. It was a standard ordering experience with nice workers. Parking was easy to find right in front of the store on a weekday right before rush hour. I ordered the largest size, which was quite pricey, but I felt it wasn't a lot of food. I asked for half rice/half salad and felt the amount they give was not proportional to the rest of the food. The protein and other toppings were standard. However, my biggest problem with this bowl is that there was MULTIPLE bones in the fish. For someone not expecting bones in poke combined with a bunch more small and hard crunchies, this can be deeply problematic and more care needs to be taken in the food preparation. The process is similar to ordering a build-your-own poke bowl, except that the workers then pile your creation onto a piece of seaweed and wrap it all up. You really can't go wrong here. Order the things that you would normally enjoy on a poke bowl or sushi roll. I had ahi tuna, seaweed salad, and a ponzu sauce, among other fillings. The burrito is delicious and filling, not to mention convenient to eat! We took ours a block away to the Hammer Museum and ate in their courtyard. Pro Tip: Happy Hour is 2-5PM on Mon-Wed. It only applies to the medium (3 scoops fish) and large bowls (4 scoops) but it saves you a couple of dollars. I like this place! It's less frills and options than other poke shops but decent quality. I like that they let you pick crab meat, tamago or seaweed salad as sides whereas other places charge you extra. I usually get the medium which is $16.99 and comes with 3 scoops of fish. The fish is relatively fresh and you can pick from salmon, tuna, tofu, albacore, spicy tuna. It's a smaller shop so there's only seating for 2-3 parties. There's parking right outside and there seems to be a parking plaza behind the shop if you can get there. read more

My friend is from Hawaii, and he approves! It's not 100% authentic Poke, but that's okay because it was still tasty. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the workers were short and irritated the whole time. The atmosphere wasn't the best, and the workers had a bad staring problem. The store itself isn't very large, so I'd suggest getting your order to go. They have am Amazing happy hour deal! I got a large box and it was definitely worth the cost (came out to about $17 with tax and tip). It may seem like a lot but Sweetfin charges something comparable and it's half the size with none of the flavor. They have a nice selection of proteins, sauces, toppings, extras, etc. They didn't have the boujier options like wasabi peas or masago, but it really doesn't matter as they have the essentials. It's not the fanciest place, but wow.. the flavor. Also LOVE that they had raw jalapenos, I feel like I never see that as an options. The staff are incredibly nice, very down to earth, and were working really efficiently when I was there (they were in the middle of a lunch rush with a group that had 4 or 5 orders just for them with 3 of us also waiting to order). 10/10 recommend read more

I am bummed that I agree with some of the other reviewers-the rice was a big clump and the avocado was brown and more like guacamole than avocado you would expect on a pole bowl. The portion size was generous and that may hav been part of the problem as everything was very smashed in-not light, loose and fresh like a poke bowl should be. the flavors were good.....but the textures and gumminess unappetizing so I didn't eat much.
