In LA for Anime Expo 2026, my friend and I were staying at the Hyatt House LA - University Medical Center and after a full day of flying, we were looking for dinner, not wanting to travel too far from our hotel. My friend wanted me to try something new and since I had never had poke before, All About Poke fit the bill! We walked in around 6:45pm on a Wednesday. We were the only customers inside, but the two young women working behind the counter were bustling making Uber Eats/Door Dash orders, which was fine with me as it gave my friend and I time to look at all the options on the menu. The staff were friendly and quick, so when we were ready to order, it didn't take long before we were cashed out and eating. Inside there were several tables and chairs and since there was no one else inside, we had no problem grabbing a table. It was pretty clean inside and music played over speakers to make sure there was no dead air. For dinner, I ordered a medium poke bowl: brown rice base, three (good-sized) scoops of tofu, House Sauce, topped with avocado (small upcharge), cucumber, cilantro, and the "Whole Shebang" (fried garlic, sesame seed, fried onion, and furikake), with a small sample of wasabi on the side of the bowl and a cup of wasabi mayo for my free, extra sauce, as well as a cherry vanilla Olipop to wash it all down. I am really impressed, the poke bowl was delicious and surprisingly filling! The tofu tasted great, I was glad I added avocado which added a little creaminess to the bowl, and their House Sauce was great! Every ingredient in this bowl came together nicely! But if you need to clear your sinuses, get the wasabi - Wooo, my eyes were watering and my nose was running from that! The wasabi mayo is much milder, thank goodness, and was a nice, small addition. The medium-size was surprisingly filling and I think the price reflected that well. I did want a sweet treat to round out my meal, so I grabbed a vanilla macaron, which had vanilla ice cream in the middle, as well. The ice cream inside was creamy and the macaron had great texture with plenty of vanilla, a nicely sized treat! For my first time having a poke bowl, I think All About Poke did a great job! Friendly and quick customer service, fresh ingredients, and good-size portions, what more could I ask for? I wouldn't mind at all coming back for lunch or dinner. read more

If you don't want hospital cafeteria food and need a poke fix, this place is pretty good! about $15 for a small bowel with 2 proteins and the various toppings. There are some premium toppings but otherwise it's a pretty generous portion. Service is fast and it's usually empty. There is both inside and outside seating. Ordered for lunch and this was such a great portion. Price is reasonable for the amount of fish you get. All the ingredients were really fresh and tasty. However I did feel like it was a little on the dry side in regards to the sauce. I definitely could've used more as some of the bowl was completely dry. Been looking for a local poke spot here in the border line of Lincoln heights/boyle heights area and found this gem! The customer service was great and the serving size was even better haha. All About Poke is literally all they sell. They make fresh made to order bowls with all the toppings. And they do it well! (I did notice a little sign stating that they are now serving instant ramen) The service was streamlined and very fast. Paired with the friendly staff. It made ordering simple and easy. Today we ordered poke bowls from All About Poke. They were sizable portions for being small (2 proteins) and medium (3 proteins). There were lots of options for the base (rice, salad, soba noodles or a combination), and tons of fresh and flavorful toppings. I ordered a medium bowl with ahi, spicy tuna and salmon on top of half and half white rice and salad. I put so many toppings to mention here but they were all delicious. The order was delivered so I have no photos of the physical restaurant. It was delivered early too! It tried out the house sauce on top and it was a perfect blend of soy sauce and either ponzu or vinegar with a little sweetness. Our office was satisfied with our orders and we loved to support local businesses too! The price is on par with other poke or sushi restaurants that offer poke bowls. Customized two bowls and they were both delicious. I added the house sauce and spicy mayo but be warned this is very spicy but it has a good flavor. The portion and quality of food guarantee a return customer. I ordered this through DoorDash so I wasn't sure if it would travel well but it did! There are very few poke places that know how to make a good one and this is one of them! Usually they are so dry and have a small portion. I can't wait to try this place in person. I noticed that the cost is higher if you order online as opposed to in-store. I found that to be kind of odd. The website states there's no fee but the price is like $2 more. Order in-store instead. Parking: there's metered 15 min parking on Alcazar St. Wasn't difficult finding a spot at all. My favorite proteins: spicy tuna, tuna, albacore, and salmon. Soba noodles weren't mushy, which is nice. I usually get a small if I'm not hungry. A medium if I'm hungry but not starving and a large if I'm ravenously hungry.
