I enjoyed my lunch today at Eagle's Landing. I ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich with a side salad. The beef was tender and peppers & mushrooms well-seasoned and on a soft warm roll. The side salad was was larger than what I'd expect from a garden salad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is not a bad view from anywhere in the dining room, cozy and relaxing with the creek flowing along the footpath outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lorena the manager is lovely, engaging, bilingual, and accommodating - especially when I mistakenly arrived for lunch 30 minutes before service. I saw some staff interactions and obvious that her team is loyal and respects her. She had some great recommendations on what to do in area, along with nearby travel destinations.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Eagles Landing is by far the best food, service and atmosphere in June Lake (and maybe even Mammoth).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sage was our server and she was very welcoming and provided great service. We had 9 people and we all enjoyed great food and amazing drinks by Mark, the bartender. We will definitely be going here every time we visit June Lake.

Will be back!!

Indoor Dining: Full Rack BBQ 4.86786 stars! Corn 2.2352 stars!

This was such a cool place to dine in during COVID in October. Guests were seated two to three booths apart. It was so quiet and peaceful. Only three tables were occupied, and a few people were outside on the deck. The Blue Cheese Salad was a great starter with lettuce, bacon, and blue cheese crumbles. Yum! I love blue cheese!! The three of us shared a Full Rack BBQ which included potato and corn. I asked for one more corn on a cob, but he gave us three extra. It's too bad the corn was bland and not very exciting even when I slathered a thick piece of butter. The potato was alright once I covered it with sour cream and butter. The BBQ was the star of the night! The sauce was finger-lickin' good, and the meat was perfectly cooked - juicy and fall of the bone kind of tender. We also enjoyed sharing the Chocolate Lava Cake. The warm melted gooey chocolate in the center was delicious with vanilla ice cream. This was an awesome way to end our day!

Was skeptical due to their 3 stars. But the food was actually pretty good. We got the pastas and they were very savory.

The fried chicken was big, well-fried, and not dry at all. I really liked it, though I felt the gravy could've been a bit hotter. Still, I'd give this dish a solid 4.5/5. Country Fried Steak - Served with gravy and potatoes, similar to the Gravy Train but with steak instead of chicken. The steak was nicely thick and very filling. There's limited parking available. I went on a Wednesday so it wasn't too crowded, but I still waited about 20 minutes.

Our party of six had been waiting to be seated when another party of six arrived after us. Eventually, someone from their group asked about the wait, and the male host said, "We have a table," and waved them in. When we asked about when we would be seated since we arrived before the previous group, he claimed he had already called our name. All six of us had been seated, listening and heard parties being called--our group was never called. Kayla did apologize for the mix up, since she was aware we were waiting before the other group. Since we have been going to The Stove for years, we decided to give it another try, so later in the week, we pre-ordered three pies several days in advance and later added a fourth (Kayla added the fourth). When we arrived, only one pie (the one Kayla put in) was available, and we were told we could come back in two days--even though we were leaving the next day. The male staff member insisted we had changed our order, but the handwritten order sheet in the clipboard did show what we had originally requested. The other host was apologetic but told us the mix up was because Kayla (who wasn't there at the time) made a mistake and didn't complete the order. We explained that the male host took our order. We appreciated that she discounted the one pie we did receive. Instead of eating there, we went to The Warming Hut down the street, where the service was friendly, the food arrived quickly, and our food was good. We understand mistakes happen, but it was the dismissive and rude customer service of the male host --not the mistakes themselves--that made this experience so disappointing.

I had specifically asked to substitute the rice, but it was still served -- and there was a hair in it, which is absolutely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. The kids' burger was overcooked to the point of being dry like a cracker, and the fries looked and tasted like they were cooked in old, repeatedly used oil. This is unsafe and unacceptable, especially for children's food. The steak was ordered medium well, but was served well done -- completely overcooked. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful. Additionally, the staff showed no proper response -- we were not offered a replacement, a discount, or even a proper apology. This reflects a complete disregard for service standards and customer care. In its current state, this does not meet even basic restaurant standards.

First, the staff and owner were incredibly warm and welcoming. Since we had our dog with us, we ate outside in a lovely little shaded courtyard. Then... I took my first bite of the burrito with the SALSA and immediately died and went to heaven. My husband and I both froze mid-bite and looked at each other in complete disbelief. This salsa, I swear, is magical. The burrito itself was fantastic, but this salsa? I can't even find the words. After I finished eating, I went back inside and asked for the owner. She came out from the kitchen, and I explained that I simply had to have more of this salsa. Unfortunately, she doesn't sell it in bulk yet. She kindly gave me a few to-go containers and said, "Yes, I'm working on getting it set up to sell to go." I asked what was in it, and although there was a bit of a language barrier, I gathered that it contains several unique peppers--some roasted, some fresh--and then, at the end, she added, "And... I also make it with love." I believe her. Kudos to this place. I literally just told my husband that we need to drive all the way back down here just for another burrito and this salsa!

Great lunch option after doing Zephyr white water rafting!…read more I ate here with my husband for lunch on a Friday around 12:30 PM. Parking was easy to find, but may be challenging if you're not staying at the connected Yosemite Bug Inn and if it's busy. We ordered at the counter and were given a metal number card. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We enjoyed coconut water and kombucha for our drinks. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive at our table outside. This is what we ordered: * Chocolate cream pie - it was chocolatey with a thin shortbread crust. Just the right amount of sweet for us. * Chipotle chicken quesadilla - I tasted a small piece and thought it was flavorful. They put a generous amount of cheese. * Bombay sandwich - Warm vegetarian sandwich with potatoes and other veg with what tasted like a pesto or vinegar based sauce. The bread was crisp and the sandwich was split in half. I enjoyed it. After tax and tip, we paid a total of $49.93. No pics this time since we were hungry :) We both enjoyed our meal overall and felt like the portions were big and satisfying. I would come back here again on another Yosemite trip!

My husband had the American breakfast one morning and the huevos rancheros the next (no photo of that one). I tried both the Farmer's Breakfast and the American breakfast. They definitely know how to cook their eggs! For dinner, my husband ordered the steak, which could've used a bit more seasoning, while I had the vegan noodle bowl. Both meals came in generous portions. We also shared two beers and an apple pie for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The service was fine, nothing over the top, but consistent. We noticed it was often the same staff working multiple days. The ambiance was really nice, with a mix of travelers and foreigners since the resort also functions as a hostel. Despite that, the vibe was always calm and welcoming, we never saw a rowdy crowd. Having this café just steps away from our room was such a convenience.
