    tator tots
    Dung N.

We planned to do a group photo of our group around noon, but some of us took a long time to get down the mountain. Food is always the answer when you're waiting around, so they grabbed some lunch while while waiting for the rest of us to arrive. This market place has a variety of options and since it was getting late, I just ate some carne asada quesadilla and tator tots that my friends bought and couldn't finish. The tator tots were crispy and quesadilla was pretty tasty- it tasted much better with the salsas though. Not a bad place to grab something to eat if you're hungry and need a break from the snow.

Throughout our dinner offered to answer any questions we had at the menu or suggest recommendations. I ordered the chicken pesto fettuccine. It was so good. Not too salty or oily at all. Plenty of pasta and came with garlic bread on the side. Also ordered cheesy bread for the table. It came with marinara and ranch on the side. REALLY cheesy and good. Overall great restaurant and great service!

I also tried the $10 Limoncello, which strong & sweet, which got my friend drunk off one haha. Masterpiece pizza was super yummy and filling. Medium size comes with 8 slices that could feed 2-3ppl (4-5 if you get another dish too). Dough is thick and fluffy, and you can't go wrong with a meat combo w/ mushroom & bell peppers! Caesar salad was the other star of the night, very light & refreshing to go with the heavy pizza. Everything else was just alright. Buffalo wings were small and light on sauce. Fettuccine Alfredo was super basic, as if it was a frozen microwaveable dish. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the pizza, salad, and drinks if there's a sporting event to watch that night! I'd pass on everything else there.

We had the SALUMI red sauce pizza and the RIGATONI with arrabbiata sauce. For dessert we shared the salted carmel gelato with some type of donut.Everything was amazing! Fantastic service and fun vibe. Noisy but not bad at all.Our server said they are better than the former restaurant,so true! FYI the outside seating isn't open yet (early May) the glass little patios outside are only for bigger parties and believe it's $350 minimum?

Tucked into the Village right next to Gomez's Mexican Restaurant (which is no slouch itself), this place pulls off that rare trick: it actually feels like a legit Italian escape...just with better snow outside. Let's start where all good decisions begin: pizza as an appetizer. Yes, you heard that right. Their authentic pizza oven isn't just for show--it's the real deal. Thin crust, blistered just enough, and gone in about 90 seconds at our table. No regrets. The tricolore salad is a solid opener--fresh, simple, and a nice way to pretend you're pacing yourself. You're not. Because then comes the main event: Voltaggi-O's. Imagine your childhood love affair with Chef Boyardee's Spaghetti-O's...then imagine it went to culinary school, studied abroad in Naples, and came back with confidence, depth, and a killer wine list. That's this dish. It's nostalgic, elevated, and borderline dangerous in how easy it is to keep eating. And honestly? The staff might be the real MVPs. Servers and bartenders here are five-star across the board--attentive without hovering, smiling like they actually enjoy being there, and full of spot-on recommendations (which, let's be honest, we happily followed). Bottom line: If you're in Mammoth and craving Italian that goes beyond the usual ski-town fare, Vulcania is the move. Come hungry, order the pizza "appetizer" (don't overthink it), and don't you dare skip the Voltaggi-O's. You'll leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit.

Food- burger that is hefty and flavorful; which compliments the Hair of the Bear. I want to like the waffle fries, but needed a little bit more crunch. Pricing - resort town prices. Is phone that requires you to pay with tip when ordering. When did a tip stop being for service? How do you give someone a tip for service before they provide the service? Unfortunately, I've seen this at other places too, just over how ridiculous tipping has become and will avoid these places in the future. Sorry for the rant. Anyway, I was giving 3 stars initially and then the food came out. Both my buddy and I got the hot chicken sandwich, which I had here over a year ago and was good. This time it was over cooked and dry. So dry it was hard to swallow even with slaw in it. The waffle fries were stale, and both the sandwiches and fries were room temperature even though it came out within minutes of ordering. I appreciate fast food delivery, but this seemed like a it was just reheated. The server was friendly and came back and checked in us, so that was good, but we'll be going back to our regular brewery in the future.

However, they do offer happy hour menu and slices. I recommend and typically order take out when I stay in a cabin walking distance to the Village. They have a super convenient online system you can order from for pick up. I recommend this for dinner as it can get busy and the line can get long. The Pizza was surprisingly pretty good! I read that they rest the dough for 48 hours. The tomato sauce is on the more acidic side, which I really like. For the area, I do think the pizza is pretty value for bigger groups. They have two sizes basically Large (16") and XL (20"). We usually order the supreme pizza or their version of a margherita. For a 20" Supreme, it was about $50 after tax and tip. We shared between 5 ppl and each person got about 2 very large slices and was pretty full. I ate 1.5 slices . $10 per person for dinner for the Mammoth area after a day of skiing is a steal ! TIP: Ask for paper plates and the red pepper and Parmesan cheese! It gets pretty busy so they may forget to ask you! You can also ask for a plastic bag for the plates and condiments, which is convenient for take out (especially if you walked!).

We waited over 35 minutes for a slice of pepperoni pizza and herb knots. At least four people who ordered after us received their food first. When we asked about our order, instead of providing basic customer service, we were met with attitude. To make it worse, he was cussing the entire time, which is completely unprofessional--especially for someone in a management role. PART 2: Received message from "Danny" "Daniel" see photo below.or text: "First you said 20 minutes then 30 which is not true I will admit I did not put the slice right away but that is because I assumed you wanted everything together which I did in fact mention to you and was not told anything and after 10 minutes came up to me to ask if you can get a free slice? And yes I did time it so that's why I'm saying I'm sorry but your attitude for 10 minutes worth of wait doesn't justify your anger" We asked to be compensated because customers who waited far less than we did were treated better. We were never asked whether we wanted our food together or separate, so please don't make that up. Even after finally receiving our food, we still had to go back up to get the drinks we ordered. Throughout the interaction, we were met with disrespect and never once received an apology for the excessive wait--only attitude. Saying "sorry we weren't up to your standards" misses the point. Basic respect and customer service are not high standards; they are the bare minimum.
