Date of Visit: June 28, 2026 Purpose of Visit: Late lunch…read more Upon arrival for a late day lunch, the party was promptly greeted and seated by staff in a professional and welcoming manner. The initial service experience was satisfactory. **Issue Regarding Beverage** During the course of the meal, a mixed beverage was ordered for my wife. Upon service, the drink was found to be prepared in a manner that rendered it excessively sweet and not palatable. The issue was brought to the attention of the waitstaff, with a request that the item be removed from the final invoice due to the product not meeting reasonable standards for consumption. **Resolution and Conclusion** Management declined the request to remove the item from the bill, notwithstanding our objection regarding the quality of the preparation. Consequently, the full cost of the beverage remained on the final check. While the initial greeting and seating process were efficient, the refusal to address the concern regarding the beverage resulted in a disappointing conclusion to the visit. Though this establishment has other reviews also reflecting their policy not to remove such unsatisfactory items from the check, be aware of this lowered customer service standard before dining there. We will not be returning.

I can't tell you how many times that medium is what I usually get when requesting medium-rare at restaurants. There's a big difference between the two in terms of internal temperature, center color, and texture. This place knows how to properly cook a medium-rare burger, and for me, that's a sign of quality and sets it apart. The sidewinder fries are fab as are the homemade potato chips and either comes with burgers. The dressing on the coleslaw needs some seasoning, but the slaw itself is fresh and crunchy. The Maryland crab soup is pretty slammin', too. I favor the back dining room, not the bar (in front). These 2 areas have different vibes. The back room feels like the way a burger joint should be. The bar is, well, more bar-ish. One of the servers, Brody, provides exceptional service--a shout out to him. This establishment's name is playful and clearly informs the customer as to what their specialty is: hamburgers. I bought one of their T-shirts, perhaps that says it all.

I've never had a bad burger here and always order the smash patties - I just enjoy them more. Two burgers and two beers were less than $50 with a tip - can't beat that in a tourist town. We'll be back soon!

Because we were going out to dinner in a couple hours we just shared an appetizer and ordered flights. We ordered the large pretzel with pub cheese and it was really great. Pretzel seemed like it was made with fresh dough and it the buttery, saltiness just made it exactly what we wanted. I felt bad for the cooks and bartenders as the place was super busy, but it was a really fun vibe, and great service for how packed they were. The beers were great: I had the: -Incessant Luminescence (American Stout) -Portergeist -Sunglow - Hefeweizen -Jamba Blueberry Pumpkin Swirl sour Wifey had the: -Gettys Brau - Pilsner -Hop Hat - IPA -Dead Man Walking - Hazy IPA -My nickname in high school - Citrus IPA Ok, to be fair, the Jamba Blueberry Pumpkin Swirl sour was weird...it was more like a smoothie than a beer so the texture was odd, but the flavor was fun. I hate IPAs so I can't speak to them, but Wifey loved them. Overall- fun place, great vibe, very good beers and a great pretzel appetizer. I'd come back the next time we are out in Gettysburg.

Went for St Patty's Day ... it was just okay…read more The potato soup was good but they must be putting the potatoes in a blender. As it was more of a puree. I ordered the fish & chips. The sad part is you would get 2 nice pieces of fish and waffle fries. Now it's two fish sticks and a small amount of regular fries. Obviously the price is the same which sadly is a bad deal. Sorry but I won't be back. 1 beer , 1 cider , fish & chips, 2 cups of patio and the loaded fries were $60. And had to pick up a sandwich on the way home. No value ... don't understand what happened ... it's cod ... it's cheap. Change the price a buck or two if needed but cutting the portion by by 4/6s is sad

I was really looking forward to go forward to this visit. Be g new in the area I am on the hunt…read morefor fun places with tasty food and after looking at their online profile I decided to give them a shot. First the place is really nice when you walk in. It's clean and dark and warm. I wasn't expecting a Cheers welcome but we weren't even created when we walked in. The hostess was at her stations all the way inside the bottom floor. The hostess was polite when we approached and sat us upstairs per our request. That's where the spell of the place evaporated. We sat about 10-15 minutes before our server made it to us. (The place was not busy outside of the bar down stairs. When she asked us what we wanted to drink my friend ordered I said "I need a second what do you recommend between...." she interrupted and said "I'll be back." It took 20 minutes to come back with his drink (Guinness in a warm beer glass) I asked for water, she didn't acknowledge me and walked away. I tried to get her attention for the next 20 minutes so we could order. She would walk past us. I tried to flag her down again nothing. After about 40 minutes she came back to take our order. We were still hoping to turn the trip around as we were excited about the menu. We ordered the shelpards pie potato skins, a bowl of cream of crab soup, a steak and the bangers stew. By the time our food made it to us we had been sitting almost an hour and a half. The soup was amazing. It was hot it was tasty the crab was forward, I really enjoyed it. The skins were mid. Some were over cooked some were just right. All of them were cold. It seemed like they were pre cooked and frozen to be reheated later. The steak was over cooked and all but flavorless. The potatoes were just wet mashed potatoes. And the beans were equally as bland. Non of it was hot. The bangers stew was... Almost edible. The potatoes. Good, onions and carrots and meat. All tasty on their own. The sauce though was ungodly sweet. So sweet that it made the rest inedible. All in all we were there for almost 2 hours. We were $91 into our tab. By the time the food came, we asked for our ticket and some boxes. We tried a few bites and left. I probably won't ever go back.
