Early to rise, is a reason to go early to bed... There are so many wonderful breakfast/brunch places in and around San Francisco, and Early To Rise is definitely at the top of the list! Diners tip: make reservations. Yes you can walk in, but this place is always busy! The vibe is fabulous. It has the feel of an upscale diner, but at the same time it is the perfect neighborhood breakfast spot. There are so many wonderful things to say about this place, so the fact that they pretty much make everything in house from their bread, to their smoked meats, sauces, and so much more, is just the icing on the cake. The food is fabulous. The service was fabulous The people dining around us were fabulous. The entire experience was fabulous. You absolutely combine in here on your own, but if you are going with friends, family, or that special someone, I would definitely encourage you to order different plates so that you can share. You are going to want to try it all. The French toast should be in its own food group. The serving is generous, and it'll keep you wondering if you will ever get to the end of it. Brioche bread with toasted, coconut, macadamia nuts, POG cream, syrup... your mouth should be watering. It tastes like you are waking up in paradise. Eggs Benny-I added garlic, spinach and it definitely was the right call! I love layers of flavor. The eggs were perfectly poached, and on their house made muffin * chefs kiss * Our meal was enjoyed with a cup of freshly brewed, green tea, and hot chocolate. Both delicious and a perfect compliment with the meal. I absolutely will be going back! There's so many delicious sounding items on the menu, and judging from neighboring plates, those dishes looked just delicious! This is your neighborhood breakfast go to spot that should be experienced over and over.

Came with a couple friends here last month and there wasn't a huge wait (around 20 min). We split the spinach eggs benedict and their pancakes. + Eggs benedict was good, nothing too special. Comes with grits, which were okay. Would've probably preferred potatoes. + Pancakes were big so definitely recommend sharing. Pancakes weren't overly sweet, nice and fluffy. - Got their strawberry matcha too, which they had recently added to the menu. Was on the sweeter/milkier side and strawberry tasted fresh but could be stronger/with more matcha. Color was also a bit dull. The chef I believe was going around talking to tables and even asked me for feedback on the matcha, which was very nice. Appreciate the personal touch. Overall nice spot with a simple menu. Nothing on the menu excited me too much to come back but was decent.

Super cute brunch spot in SF! I visited with a friend for a weekend breakfast brunch. I'd probably give it a 3.5 overall but rounding up! What we got: - Tangerine Pudding ($11) (4/5): Definitely get this!! I loved it was sweet but not too sweet. The tangerine was very tart and all of the flavors meshed beautifully together. - Bagels & Lox Platter for two ($26) (2/5): This felt like a good choice to share between the two of us. Everything comes deconstructed so that you're able to customize your bagel to your preference. Unfortunately, it just fell a bit flat. The bagel was quite tough and the tomatoes also tasted a bit underripe. The lox itself was quite good, but I definitely didn't think this was worth the price point. Service was very quick; our food came out not too long after ordering.

My friend and I made a reservation a few weeks ago, and the only time they had left for the date we wanted was a late afternoon lunch. Service was friendly, and our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. I ordered their lox bagel and cappucino, which both hit the spot. The lox bagel was on the smaller side than what I had expected, but it still was satisfying, with a good balance of flavors and fresh salmon and ingredients that complemented each other well. The cappucino paired perfectly with this bagel, as it was well-made and had a good blend of espresso and milk.

I enjoyed my blueberry pancake and my friend said her bagel and lox were ok. The bagel was a bit stale but with it being noon, we are assuming that's to be expected. Servers and host were all friendly and accommodating. My friend asked not to pick a fancy brunch and this one fits the bill. Friendly atmosphere, food is decent and parking is a bit challenging. But it's a good choice to eat at when I'm back in the neighborhood.

I tried to come here 2 different times and couldn't get a spot (as in came just before noon, and was told no seating at all, not even a queue). So basically on the weekend you need to make a reservation to get seated if you come for regular brunch hours. Third time I got a resy and came with a friend to see what the hype was about, got seated immediately. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented, so I can see why it's popular. I got the samusa pancake which uses a unique combination of spices in a veggie pancake. I feel like it was slightly odd tasting but not in a bad way per say, just didn't know if I liked all the flavors together. My friend got the french toast which was amazing texture and flavor -- would recommend that if you have more of a sweet tooth. Lowkey there are just as good brunch spots that don't have the same jam-up. Glad this spot exists in NoPa neighborhood but probably won't make the hassle to be here that often.

came on a friday afternoon, had to wait a bit to get seated. menu isn't super big, pretty straightforward brunch setup. portions were reasonable, but flavors were just okay overall, nothing really stood out or felt special. decent spot for brunch if you're in the area, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

For the price and long wait, it was a pretty average to below average brunch. I waited around 30min for a table for two on a Saturday around noon which is honestly not too bad for a popular SF brunch spot, but was a little disappointed with the food. Bagels and lox - the bagels are hard to chew and quite small. The rest of the platter was fine but the bagels were a big letdown Eggs Benedict - nothing special flavourwise. The eggs weren't runny when cut into, but still soft. Donuts - pretty small for the price and again, nothing special but not bad. Not too sweet which is a good thing. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance was great. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit for the food.

I stopped by between my doctor's appointments because I was starving! Seeing this place nearby, I couldn't resist popping in for a quick bite. The menu was impressively diverse and tempting. Not wanting a heavy meal before my annual check-up, I chose a loaded Lox bagel--absolutely delicious! Since I was dining solo, I grabbed a seat at the counter. The staff was fantastic--friendly and attentive. I loved the welcoming atmosphere; it had a warm, family-friendly vibe without being noisy. I highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch--it's a delightful experience you won't want to miss.

This little gem is what I can honestly say the best breakfast spot in San Francisco considering value quality location vibe etc etc! Samusa potato pancake - good portion great flavors, plenty of food for 2 people Deluxe ricotta blueberry donut - I can't begin to explain how amazing this pastry experience was

Really cute breakfast place! I liked the decor and overall retro vibe. We went as a family without a reservation and we were lucky to get a table on a Saturday morning. The menu has a nice array of savory and sweet breakfast dishes. My kids loved the donuts and the hot chocolate! I ordered the shrimp and grits - I wasn't too fond of the amount of peppers on the plate but the bits of bacon definitely made up for it nonetheless! The service was very attentive and overall, the restaurant was very family friendly.

My friend and I were visiting the area and I found this place through an Instagram Reel-- the food and ambiance did not disappoint! The bread was so fluffy and all the ingredients, even the butter is so fresh and homemade. Any sort of flavored French toast is typically too overpoweringly sweet, however, the POG French toast here is so balanced! The coconut cream is to die for!! As for the service, the staff was nice, but we were definitely waiting a while until we could order drinks and food. We went on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't busy.

Cute breakfast place with tons of sunlight through the big windows Delicious breakfast, especially the breakfast meat options - really liked the thick cut bacon and sausage patty Crispy and seasoned hash browns! Early on a weekday was no wait - tables can be a bit tight, out of pancakes today though Want to go back to try their daily donuts!

The crispy chicken was recommended by the server and it truly did not disappoint. The chicken was crisp and juicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly. For drinks we got the Thai iced tea, butterfly lychee fizz, and the coconut milk latte. I got the Thai ice tea less sweet and it was perfect for me ( I usually don't like it super sweet). In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.
