I always drive by this place and saw all of the positive reviews so I stopped by one morning to get a breakfast burrito with sausage and potatoes and an Old Fashioned donut. Since I returned from Chicago last month where I was able to eat at my beloved Do-Rite Donuts, I've still been trying to hunt for the perfect Old Fashioned in the DFW area. The breakfast burrito gets a quick shout out because it was pretty unique as far as breakfast burritos go. I was expecting your typical breakfast sausage with pre-made hashbrowns inside, but the sausage that came with the burrito was more like the Eckrich kind cut up into bite size pieces and the potatoes were smashed and still super hot. I think it was so unique also because it wasn't greasy at all. But the Old Fashioned was better than your average mom and pop donut shop, but still not quite what I'm searching for. I'd love to go back and try their cream brulee donut.

Every time fly into DFW and when I'm on my way to see family, I make it a point to stop by Earnest to get my favorite donuts: Earl Grey and Honey Citrus. The donuts themselves are light and fluffy and the toppings are out of this world!!

The go to place for delicious novelty doughnuts. The maple bacon donut itself is worth it no matter what your arteries tell you. All of the donuts are always soft and fluffy. The sandwiches and kolaches are also a popular item that get sold out fairly quickly so come early. Also if you go here frequently, there's a punch card that lets you have $10 when you fill it out completely

What a good little treat for us Las Vegans. We are visiting The Colony for our son's medical treatment. Everything has been very stressful since we arrived from Las Vegas, NV. We wanted something sweet to calm our nerves, and found ED on Yelp! The donut shop is clean & quaint. The female staff (White lady w/ short hair) was incredibly friendly! She suggested old fashion cinnamon roll donut, as well as blueberry cake donut. I'll save the blueberry one for tomorrow. The cinnamon roll donut was delicious, with the right amount of firmness in terms of chewiness and a ton of cinnamon sprinkles enmeshed inside. So happy to have stopped in, and we'll visit again, the next time we are staying in the DFW area!

So many great options for doughnuts in north Dallas! This one is top 3 on just service let alone the pure freshness. Best crème brûlée doughnut so far with them even making one fresh since the case was sold out. Old-fashioned chocolate was solid and apple fritter was perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. On and the extra glazed doughnut didn't hurt!

Pretty delicious donuts and close to me so it's perfect! The cronut holes are delicious and I love the texture of them. I enjoyed the blueberry cake donut I tried as well. I recently got the maple bacon and it was also tasty but a bit more sweet than the others. I have also ordered the kolaches and they are good I just wish they had more cheese in the ones that should have cheese. I've ordered some and thought they gave me ones without cheese because I couldn't find any in the kolaches. I love how they usually add a few extra donut holes to the box. The cinnamon roll wasn't bad but it is on the smaller side. Still good flavor and tastes great warmed up for about 10 seconds.

Wow! we arrived 9:45AM, had a great selection of donuts. both of the employees were very sweet as their donuts. What truly impresses me are the donuts freshness, I am 100% convinced that they are made with love and care. I have no problem paying a little bit extra for something that's made delicately. The ambience is just like a normal coffee shop with the addition of donuts. They offer sandwiches with any type of meat, cheese and egg. They also have burritos stuffed with potatoes, eggs, and meat. You can also get donuts customized with letters, but you have to order those 72 hours in advanced. This is 100% my new favorite donut shop in the area. 100% recommend all that are allowed to have sweet treats.

If you get nothing else, you need to order the croissant donut holes and the Rhode Island coffee! The croissant donut holes are perfect portions - complete with delightful flaky texture, and right amount of sweetness! I was really pleased with their specialty coffee. I appreciate that they have implemented covid protocols: masks required, must use hand sanitizer or complementary gloves upon entry, stand 6 ft apart from other patrons. Even the merchandise is packaged individually.

Oh my goodness!! We loved this donut place. I can't wait to come back to try more of their specialities. Make sure you try their perfectly creamy creme brulee and their sweet and savory bacon crumble donuts. The kids had a blast with their chalkboard wall and didn't want to leave. My 3 yr old had her own review of the donuts: "these are the best ever ... I want to come back again and again -lots of times". I agree kids! We will be back! If you have a birthday or special event make sure you come here. Their designs are not just the typical cookie cutter happy birthday you've seen at other places. The donuts are good, but not stellar. It's kind of like they tried to "over gourmet" them. Key lime was odd and not quite there. The blueberry crumble was good. The red velvet was good, but the frosting had too much shortening. Also, the sausage roll was okay, but not the best. The coconut cream donut was way too sweet ... It didn't need the added powdered sugar. My big issue is with the prices. $12.22 for four donuts and one sausage roll is quite steep. The value is just not there. And I was so looking forward to this place! read more

I ordered birthday donuts for my grand nephew's third birthday. After we discussed the order (primary colors) and I paid, I noticed the Spider-Man donut in the display. I asked for that one for the O in his name because I he loves superheroes. I was pleasantly surprised to pick up the donuts today, all in superhero theme! He loved them! Seriously though, great donut shop with a wide variety of donuts; all kinds of toppings (icing flavors and designs), styles (donuts, cake donuts, donut holes, cronuts, cronut holes, etc) and they even have custom made options available!! They do everything, letter donuts, character donuts, whatever your hearts desire! So good! First - I love the gluten free "donuts". It's really more of a mini cake glazed with regular glaze or a specialty glaze. I always get the salty caramel. Even though it's not a traditional donut, it is a treat for someone with a gluten intolerance to get a treat with the rest of the family. The other donuts get rave reviews as well! The old fashioned buttermilk apparently tastes authentic with great texture and the cinnamon rolls, maples and donut holes are hits! read more

Very good donuts, legit yummy! The owner was sweet and helpful. Lots of choices, the red velvet glazed, crullers and glazed donut holes melted in your mouth! Only two beefs for me which are the following: 1.) I would have like more choices of Kolaches 2.) no real half and half for the coffee. They only had the small single serving tubs which are a pain and do not taste as good. Overall, I would definitely go back for more. read more

Speechless. I love donuts as much as the next girl, but this place is a must-see, must-try, must-love. This business is apparently not new, but coulda fooled me; it's so clean and has that brand spankin' new look to it. It opens at 6 AM and closes shop at 2:30 PM. Pretty late for a donut place! The shop is just modern and fun to look at. Contemporary furniture and fixtures.. they got it all. The donuts are labeled with writing on the glass, which I love. I just wanted one of everythinggg without the calories. kthanks. Alas, I was not in a fairy tale, so I settled for the famous earl grey tea and s'more donuts. Both were phenomenal. I think I saw stars. The cronut holes were good after the first couple... then I became increasingly aware of the ensuing high blood sugar flooding my system. They threw in a couple of glazed donut holes for me. Their glaze even tastes a little different from the norm. I loved it all. I did try the jalapeno kolache (like I do at every donut shop), but it wasn't a winner. It was way salty, and the jalapenos were stuffed in next to the sausage. (The best kolaches are those with jalapeno-infused with sausages) I digress.. The girl behind the counter was super sweet and answered questions without any 'tude. P.S. The donuts here are great, though you're paying a premium for 'specialty' donuts. I've tried the Earl Gray and Salted Caramel and both were fantastic! I especially loved the strong tea flavor on the Earl Gray. The most important thing you need to know about Earnest Donuts is the fact that they have freaking CRONUT HOLES!! So. Good. This place is delicious. The croissant donut holes are addicting, and their specialty donuts are pretty good. I'm partial to the creme brûlée, maple bacon, and croissant donuts. I have yet to try anything that hasn't been great. Price wise, the donuts run a little expensive, so it's more of a "treat yourself" kind of place. Staff has always been friendly and helpful with recommendations, and even offered a sample of some of their donut hole varieties. They have drinks and merchandise available for sale if that's your thing. It's located in a plaza with Rotolo's, Rockfish, and a couple other stores along 121. We just moved to The Colony and had been looking for a great donut and Kolache for a lazy Sunday morning. Master donut and even The Rice Bar fell short of that need to write home. Then we found Earnest and had an out of body experience. Meaning, my 400 lb inner self came out and gobbled down the goodness like it was 1999. Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly like they were stolen and hired from Chik Fila? They even made a fresh maple glaze donut just for me. My life was changed when I tasted that, I may never eat a dessert again because it would be a let down. read more

If you want a very good donut with great selections and if you're in the area then by all means come here. Or if you're like me and will drive a good distance to satisfy your sweet craving I would suggest that as well. Although I kid around about how many donuts I eat on my social media page I really don't eat all that much but I am particular about where and who's donuts I eat. It was a toss up between these guys and Hurts in Frisco. I am very glad I chose Earnest. I picked 3 to celebrate National Donut Day. Omg they have the cronut topped with maple and bacon. You know I just had to have that one. They have plenty of choices to suit your every craving. read more

The deadline for letter donuts is two days before the date needed. The staff is wonderful on the phone and in person. I told them one order was for a girl the other was for my husband and I. They did a great job decorating. Most importantly the donuts were delicious! My sister-in-law was very happy as were my entire family. Yummy!! read more

JUST WOW! This little joint is dong great things. Their flavor profiles are on point, the price point is reasonable ($1-4), good assortment of beverages. We've probably had close to 12 different types of donuts here and not a single one has let us down. We went at 10:30 AM on a Sunday and there were maybe 3 other families in the place. They hadn't sold out of anything just yet (both times we've been). It did pick up around 11AM but still nothing terrible. Go here if you are in the area (in my opinion it is better than Hurts!) read more

Great customer service wth great tasting donuts!!!! I used them for my daughters party favors for her birthday and donuts for school. I am in love with the unique designs and flavors. It can end up being pricey but you pay for what you get. Excellent in all ways. read more

Finally a place that offers gluten free donuts! I'm not a huge fan of the vanilla, but the chocolate is delightful. They're more if a cake-like texture, so don't expect the light, fluffiness of a traditional donut. I had to reign it in because it became a twice on the weekend kind of thing and they can be pricey(as anything gluten free tends to be). Their other offerings look incredible- like boutique donut shop but with plenty of traditionally done creations, too. Great place to go for even the pickiest of donut eaters. read more

Yum! Just stopped in here on a whim. I didn't expect all the gourmet choices and I didn't know what to get. I ended up getting a couple of glazed because I couldn't decide on the fancier ones, but I got to try some donut holes the very nice girl at the counter gave me. But they only told me that they switched the coconut powder for the drink after me asking further questions because the drink did not taste like that before. I just wish I could have gotten a refund, you can't just serve people foul tasting drinks and not offer a refund when they're dissatisfied. I had already left by the time I tasted the drink but the least they could do was offer some store credit or something. It doesn't really matter, I'm not coming back. I couldn't even drink it, I just feel so disappointed. Come here if you want bad customer service and to waste your money.

I get it - it's a little pricy outside of waiting for the $1 bagels between 12pm-1pm - but holy schikies the quality is amazing. The bagels themselves - all 10/10. The schmears are insanely good - the basil schmear literally blew my mind. I didn't know a schmear could taste that refreshing. The cucumber sandwich - incredible - never would have thought bagel, with cream cheese and cucumber could be THAT good. Sure - it's a bit pricy pre-12pm (but what placing selling real food with real ingredients isn't these days!) spent $40 on a sandwich, bagel with butter and bagel with the fermented jalapeno schmear - but sorry not sorry - still worth it. All these cry babies in these lower reviews complaining about how the bagel they wanted was no available - it's because they are that good. Sorry - you snooze you lose. Get up earlier, preorder if you want it that bad. To the owners of Starship Bagel - hope you guys never sell out (well keep selling our of product so you stay in business yes) but you know not sell out to big mega food corps, and keep doing what you're doing. People need more food establishments making food out of actual real ingredients - not the slop bucket artificial BS that 99% of any other chain bagel shop is going to use. Just look up what Einstein puts in their highly processed schmere's, it's trash and it tastes like it too. Zero chance if they put out a basil schmere that it wouldn't be chock full of artificial junk - just look up the their strawberry schmere on Instacart - ingredients include: Maltodextrin (filler, usually corn based), Modified Food Starch (likely where the bioengineered junk is coming from as noted under the ingredients), Natural Flavor (God only knows where the hell that came from), Guar Gum (a soluble fiber derived from the ground endosperm of guar beans - not something I want in my schmere), Color (almost get a pass except they state they use Caramel which is usually an artificial / petrol base colorant that is not good for you), Carob Bean Gum (plant-based thickening agent and stabilizer - still don't want it), Xantham Gum (produced by fermenting sugar with the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris), and then lastly Natamycin (natural antifungal preservative produced by bacteria -Streptomyces natalensis - something you really want to eat much of?). I'm tired of fake food, that tastes like cardboard. That lacks any nutritional value. We should celebrate when new companies come out like this - and not only that - but they offer their bagels at $1 if they have any left over after 12pm. These people deserve a block party in their honor for producing such high quality products - that yes - those unwilling to wait till 12pm whose selections might be more limited - will have to pay a bit more. People who recognize quality and hard working people will continue to come here. Last note, if you're trying to avoid seed oils, soybean lecithin / soybean oil - this is also a great place for you - and its one of the few places my wife can actually eat at since 99% of places in the USA these days, even the ones you think are higher quality - use trash ingredients with soy as a base - these guys do not. For that I say thank you again - to the owners of Starship Bagel. You guys rock - don't listen to the winey cry baby haters.

They have a lox bagel sandwich ($14), regular lox and bagel ($12). A regular bagel + schmear will run $5. Personally I'm not crazy about bagels. So it did the trick for me.

Seriously run, don't walk, to this mythical donut spot. We drove about 40 minutes to Lewisville and were not disappointed. Earnest's Instagram page first clued us into their donut skills: think gourmet flavors, custom letters, "sushi" flavors and other artistic designs. We called ahead to order our own "Donut Digest" letters, plus a raspberry cheesecake donut, red velvet cake donut, and a Nutella cronut. Next time we'll be picking up fall flavors like salted caramel, earl gray, and pumpkin spice. We tried the Earl Grey, Honey Citrus, cronut, original glazed, and chocolate. They were all so delicious and not overly sweet. The dough was soft and fluffy. Their sausage rolls were tasty, I really enjoyed the small spicy jalapeño and cheese roll and hubby liked the large mild jalapeño roll. They serve locally roasted coffee and it was delicious as well.
